On our way to an Indy Fuel game, we wanted a nice and casual sit down dinner. With lots of other Indy Fuel fans and other sports memorabilia there, it looked like we were in good company. Our service was fast at first but then slowed down as the rush increased, which makes sense but I think at one point, we had waited about 20 minutes after finishing eating to get the bill. The staff were all very friendly though. Food wise, we got the twisted mozzarella sticks to start. They are quite delicious and the twisty shape makes it fun. I feel like, in a way, the twisty shape helps make it easier to take smaller bites (mozzarella sticks can be a bit choking hazard, y'all, stay safe). For dinner, we split a pizza. My friend and I decided to stop in tonight for dinner. It's been a few years since I've gone. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and taken to a booth. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but not super busy. Our waitress was wonderful. She was friendly and honest about wait times. The garlic knots we had were fabulous and clearly made fresh. The chicken on the sandwich was so big that I ended up eating the whole sandwich and then still had leftover chicken that had fallen out! Definitely a huge portion for the price you pay! Things didn't start off great. It took a while to be seated and even longer for a waitress to come to our table. But after that if got much better. My husband ordered the Bubba 33 bacon burger but they brought him the sunshine burger. I just removed the egg and it was the same thing. But we were charged for the egg even though I told our waitress about it. I ordered the smothered chicken dinner and really enjoyed it. It was served with white gravy and it was really well seasoned. It came with mashed potatoes with more of the same white gravy and one more side. I chose broccoli, it came with a butter garlic sauce on it. I added a little salt. 2nd time here and loving it. I've had the same bartender both times. Savanah is awesome. Great personality and takes good care of you. She even offered some suggestions on dinner. That's important to me since travel so much. I picked out chicken tenders, Stromboli or Patriot Burger. Per her advise it was a toss up between the burger or Stromboli. While I love some Stromboli I chose the Patriot Burger given its election season. I chose wisely . I'm not a normal burger guy, but DANG was this good. The grilled onions put it over the top. (Yes I'm a foodie). Loaded tator tots was a great side. This was washed down with an Elysian IPA. Was VERY GOOD! Not too hoppy. Just right. We ended up eating at Bubba's 3 times in 5 days. The first night, it was for the convenience. We were staying a hotel one door down the street. We had driven several hours to get there and didn't feel like getting back in the car to drive to a restaurant. We had seen Bubba's on the way and a quick peek at the menu said it had something we both would like. We were there for dinner and seated right away as we opted to sit in the bar. While it was technically outside, the A/C and breeze kept us comfortable. Also, we were into the Olympics and sports and really wanted to watch what was on. Our waitress quickly took our drink order and provided an overview of the restaurant. I think the hubby got the wings first night and I opted for the salmon salad. Both were really good and hit the spot. The food came out pretty quickly which was appreciated as we were HUNGRY! The second visit came because it was late and we were too tired to figure out where to eat. Again, we walked over and were seated right away - this time inside. The TVs were still visible so we were happy. Hubby got the garlic knots as people we were traveling with had been there and highly recommended them. I had a bite and totally agree - delicious. He also got a pizza and I got the chicken salad. I think the pizza was good as he ate half and took left overs and the extra knots back to our hotel. My salad was really good - probably better than the salmon salad. Which is why on our 3rd visit, I got the chicken salad again. Hubby got a burger and fries. This trip was again a default choice as we knew the food was good, there was a variety of options on the menu and service was relatively quick. It was another late night dinner so we walked over as soon as we got back to the hotel that day. One final note, hubby got the strawberry lemonade our 1st trip and LOVED it. So it was ordered the other 2 trips. I was impressed that it came with free refills just like a soda - and you never get that on non-soda or iced drinks. They also have a indoor/outdoor bar for those wanting something a little different. Hadn't been to Bubba's for a while so went back for lunch. We couldn't remember what we got last time so we had to look up our own review on Yelp! . Our prior review said we liked both items so we re-ordered them again. A Bacon Guacamole Burger for me and a Crispy Chicken Salad for my wife. We stand by our previous review and applaud their consistency. The burger was cooked correctly and loaded with ingredients. The salad was fresh and well made. We will order them both a 3rd time if we return. One item on note, like everywhere, prices have increased. The burger was $12.49 and it's now $13.99. The salad was $11.99 and it's now $13.49. Service was great! Very friendly and helpful. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Monday is Monday Madness and you get any burger for $10.99. So while the menu says my burger is $13.99, I actually paid $10.99. A good deal and 50 cents cheaper than the prior price. So go on Monday for a burger! read more

Went specifically to use a Free Pizza coupon before it expired. This location years ago was a Bennigan's. I think it was something else after and before jt was Bubbas 33. We got there just when they opened at 11am. It was kind of chilly inside. We got a table immediately and our server shortly after. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of Twisted Fried Cheese. Those are really good. I got a side salad and the pepperoni pizza. The side salad is pretty large, with eggs, tomato, lettuce. The pizza was big enough for two people to share. Won't say it's the best pizza I've ever had but it was good. Husband got a cheese burger and tots with cheese and bacon. The burger had a nice char flavor. The tots...the cheese sauce was grainy and a bit gross. Like it wasn't hot enough or mixed well. Tots would have been much better naked. Almost 45$ with tip with the free pizza. I did tip in the about it would have been with the pizza on the tab, not sure a lot of people do that. All the Bubbas locations are a bit of a drive no matter what one we'd go to. With so many choices. So far Bubbas hasn't wowed us. They not been bad just kinda middle of the road. read more

This amazing establishment is not only locally family owned but part of Texas Roadhouse/Jaeggers. What appealed to me is all the best tvs for being a music, sports and nostalgia lover! The dining was low key area to sit in the dining room to enjoy my afternoon out. A pleasant gent Ray was kind and offered two selections on the menu that fit my tastebuds. The entire menu please! But, first showstopper ordered the small (Dickie V) which donates a portion to cancer research. Plus, the Patriot Burger which donates to our troops. Those two get the full salute and pulled at my heart strings. The pizza was a smack of Italy prepared in a stove oven which the smell of the garlic butter crust so pleasing! The showstopper #2 was the burger, so tasty, I didn't need to soak it in ketchup or any sauce. The meat and veggies packed on with the complement of onion ring was devoured. Overall it was a pretty good experience! The food was delicious. I ordered the creamy chipotle pasta and it was really tasty! My husband ordered the crispy chicken salad, and the portion was huge. He said it was really good as well! I docked a star because the service was okay. No one came to say hello for over 10 minutes, so we were wondering if they forgot about us maybe! It was not busy at all. Tons of open tables around us. And then our server forgot what entree order we placed and had to come back and ask again, so that was odd. And then they forgot our customizations so my husband ended up picking onions out of his salad when he specifically requested no onions, and I asked for no cilantro in my pasta but it was scattered all over. It is great for kids! Good food options and they have a cute coloring book for them as well. Our daughter loved all of the TVs and music. Our first Visit to Bubba's. We were in Indy for vacation and Bubba's was near the hotel. It was a Saturday and quite busy. My wife and I opted for the bar area and found a table quickly. Our server greeted us promptly. We ordered drinks and fried pickles. The fried pickles showed up quickly and piping hot! I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and my wife ordered the turkey club. The tacos were full of shrimp. The jalapeño sauce was good as well. My wife liked the turkey club. The fries were great! Hot and fresh with the right amount of seasoning. Really nice experience with a group of friends. First visit for all of us, we all ordered different entrees, and everyone was very happy with their food. I ordered fish and chips, and the fish was mild with s light batter. Tarter sauce was unique and very tasty. The fries were well seasoned. My side salad was very good, with crisp, fresh lettuce, red, ripe tomatoes, shredded cheese, and crispy onion straws. Dressings are house made. Portion sizes are very generous. It's ok! I think it's a typical bar food spot!! I've been several times but only stayed twice. Previously I wanted to try a drink and it was always out. I do love that you can order all flats when you order wings. I don't like saucy wings so I orders dry run but they came out with sauce. The waitress offered to remake but she had already told us the kitchen was backed up. So I ate the saucy wings because I didn't want to wait. I ordered a pineapple smash drink. I thought it sounded good. However, I didn't notice anywhere on the menu that it mentioned only a half a shot of alcohol comes in this drink. Went in for my favorite meal. Hadn't been to Bubbas in 4 or 5 months but was craving their breaded tenderloin. It was very lightly seasoned, and a lot of the breading was falling off. Better part of the tenderloin had a lot of gristle. The tator tots were good and cooked perfectly. I took what was left of the sandwich home and tried to eat some of it for lunch the following day and still couldn't eat it. Just way too much gristle. I had to end up throwing it away. She was personable and had great suggestions. The slogan is "food for all," we had four different tastes, so we had different entrées. They are known for burgers, pizza and cold beer. The beer is served @ 33 degrees, which I think has to do with the name. They are part of the Texas Roadhouse chain with about 27 locations?! I would have never known if I wasn't scoping out the menu beforehand. Basic sports bar with TVs everywhere. I liked that one of the TVs was showing the music videos. It was a bit loud for my taste.. but the food was good, the service was great, I liked the open garage door concept in the bar. I would def get the lemon basil salad dressing again. The pizza crust was soft and chewy. But overall good basic sports bar. Good place to meet others with wide arrangement of food and good service. I was visiting Indianapolis to watch a family members pets and I decided to check this place out. Hadn't been anywhere that's good where I live.
