They do not have enough servers, and the servers they do have like to complain about their work in front of customers. This has occurred both times that I went, both in the dining room and the separate, oddly laid-out bar. The young girls who ran the bar had no idea what they were doing and it really took her 20 minutes to get our drinks and we had to ASK to order, for drink refills, boxes, and our check. We did half of her job for her. The food was good and it came out mostly warm! Just wish that the servers and the management cared. read more

Just OK. We met friends here on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. I read some reviews that the wait can be long so I wanted to get there during a non-peak time. No wait for a table of 5. There was only one server for the area. She was attentive for the most part and was also training someone. We started with the pork nachos. These were the best thing that we ordered! Take my advice and order these! Whether it's for an appetizer or your entrée, you won't be disappointed. I got the garlic aioli smash burger with tots. The bun was hard and the tots were not crispy. Two other members of the party ordered wings. The wings were HUGE! I forgot to mention that it took 45 minutes for them to bring the food out. The waitress apologized which was nice to hear. She mentioned the wings take 15 minutes to cook. Keep that in mind if you plan on ordering them. Overall, my first experience was just OK. Service was OK and the food was OK. It is a bar that serves food. There are TVs with different sporting events broadcasting without sound on each wall. It is your typical neighborhood bar. I ordered the Steak Philly with Tater Tots. It has improved since the last time I ordered it. The ingredients were fresh and there was a good amount of cheese on top. My husband ordered the BBQ Wings. He stated that the chicken was very good but you had to dip your wings in the BBQ sauce. The chicken wasn't marinated in the sauce. He said it just wasn't the same. The server was super nice, however we had to flag him down to get things that we needed because after we ordered, he never came back to check on us. First issue, we ordered fried mushrooms and received 11, for the price of $11. Quite steep. Second issue, I order the bbq nachos. They were chips pulled straight out of the bag, chopped tomatoes cold nacho cheese, cold bbq sauce and room temperature pork. They forgot to give me sour cream so I had to wait after multiple attempts to flag down our server. I always get this dish other places and it's hot. I asked if it was supposed to be hot and the server checked and pretty much told me the above. 3 minutes under the broiler would have made a huge difference. I did not eat my nachos nor was I offered a comp. Third, my husband's club sandwich was sub par with cold tots. This is the first and last time we will visit. We did know the Yelp rating, so shame on us. $48 for sub par food and leaving hungry in this economy is not great. read more

Didn't even take up all the room on the bun, no toppings although I asked for everything. My food didn't come as stated on menu. My kids meal was missing the drink (he was looking forward to it) and his side. It was a complete waste of $48! Never again. I called and complained, but the girl answering literally said "I don't know what you want me to do about it" and grumped when I asked to speak with manager. My husband and I went there on a romantic date. The server took us to a table, left a small menu. Once we were seated, she left. Never asking for a drinks order from us. Not terribly unusual. The place was less than half full. The server who seated us came past our table five or six times. Never stopping at our table. She went to the large table (2-3 feet from us) with several people there, having their lunch. There were two other servers in the restaurant, they didn't come to our table either. After waiting for 15-20 minutes, of this, we just decided to go somewhere else. As we walked to the door, two of the servers were leaning on the bar, looking out at the patrons. So. Was it prejudice? My husband is Mexican-American & Native-American. I was wearing religious jewelry, a Star of David pendant and a hamsa pendant. I don't know if that was the issue, but I felt/feel confident in saying it was prejudice.. No more late night pizzas for movie night. First time to Sugar Creek Brickhouse. We were greeted at the door and seated at a table. The table was just inside the entrance and it was cold out, every time the door opened we got a blast of cold air across our feet and our table top. I thought the service was fine and the wait was not too long. Although our waitress asked us the same question four times. We ordered a barbecue chicken flatbread, and sweet potato fries, applesauce, and breadsticks with cheese. The flatbread was not really flatbread it look like their pizza crust just made into an oval shape. The the toppings were okay. The breadsticks were nice and hot and soft and nothing special about the cheese it came out of a jar or a can. The crinkle cut sweet potato fries look like they came out of a frozen bag. Always liked the taco salad and the wings were great but it all ended in tragedy after getting food poisoning from the grilled tenderloin. I was probably the only person to have ever ordered it to be fair. Recommend the fried tenderloin unless you need to hit a weight loss goal in under two hours. Service: Consistently bad. Exceptional Italian Sub. Deep rich flavors and texture. Showed up late with only 40 minutes until the 10:00 closing time and we were welcomed warmly. The Italian was excellent as was the Cuban wrap. Although we drove by it a couple times, we finally found this small restaurant on the south side of US40 just a short distance east of Cumberland. There isn't any sign by the roadside, so it is easy to miss. But we were glad we stayed hunting and found it. I ordered a breaded tenderloin with a side of house slaw that had a tangy flavor too. The sandwich was thick, not pounded flat and tough. It was some of the most tender pork I've had (reminded me of my wife's pork steaks, but on a bun. I ordered my version fully loaded and I could barely fit it in my maw which is pretty large! I like a bit of yellow mustard and mayo on my sandwich, both were already on it. Dill pickle, fresh tomato slice, and crisp lettuce too. Just enough yellow onion for a wonderful sandwich. The only negative was that the bun it was served on became a little soggy and fell apart with some handling. My wife decided to go with a diagonally cut BLT and some tater tots. She liked them both, but thought the bacon was cut way too thick and it became chewy, not crisp. The flavor was fine, but the texture became like jerky, not good for a sandwich. If they fine tune these minor negatives, I think they could have gotten a 5th star from us. Portion sizes were generous and reasonably priced for the metro area. This little whole in The wall has phenomenal service and food. The Buffalo chicken wrap is filled with chicken, tomato, lettuce and homemade sauces. What a difference. I will say the service is great. Super friendly and full of suggestions. I'd go back for drinks, but the food is not great. The cheese curds are good, but they don't make them. The pizza was not as good as a Totino's pizza. It tasted like they took it out of the freezer and popped it into the oven. Ranch dressing was good.
