Went to dinner and deciced to go for a walk in 20-deg weather. Luckily this mall was almost next door. Lots of stores, both familiar and new to me. I am sure this place gets busy during the holidays. Tonite it was kinda sparse. Check it out.

Lots of stores

I love this mall it's very well-rounded and have all the stores that you need!! I love their AKIRA store so happy I was able to shop in person!! Since it's no stores where I live. Their Von Mour store is very nice with nice shoe section and athletic wear. All the stores I shopped had amazing customer service!! Good easy payment process and good attitudes. Nice food court !! All the popular food options like chick-fil-a etc. I would recommend here and will come back!! I had a great time shopping here!! Their Macy's is really nice too! -Marshay D.

I came to Castleton Square to pick up some hiking boots at American Eagle Outfitters, and was able to walk around the mall to get a feel of what stores were in the mall. I do not go to shopping malls anymore because I mainly shop online for what I need and can get it cheaper. Castleton Square is a nice mall with a good variety of high end stores and a food court, but from the outside, it does look run down and old, but this is an old shopping mall. The interior of the mall was nice with fluorescent lighting and kiosks all over the mall. Nothing else really much to say to be honest with you. It is a decent shopping mall and you can find whatever you need here at Castleton Square.

This mall was cool. Very nice basic stores. The staff all around were nice. Prices were good and they had a good selection of clothing, shoes, etc. to choose from.

Worth this massage chair experience!

I just realized that I could review my experience with a massage chair located across from the eye doctor's office, where they graciously exchanged my bill to pay the $2 for 7 minutes. The experience felt adequate as with my small statute, it was difficult to get all of the areas massaged as I had wanted but was aware of its capabilities. I would upgrade to the $5 for the 19-minute massage. There are 4 chairs available in this mall near the Forever 21 store. Depending on the time of day, it is sometimes very difficult to find a parking spot at this mall. So, once you are parked, it is not best to change spots to get to your nearest mall store. Because I was close, I ordered dim sum from Benyue.

LA PREDIRE PRESTIGE PARIS

LA PREDIRE PRESTIGE PARIS, Tony did an excellent demonstrating the eye care product and seen instant noticeable change within seconds. Does excellent business.

A mall that is in desperate need of an overall. Many wings of the mall had closed shops and people who sat at the carts pestered people to the point of borderline harassing. Some cute stores are there anchored by big box chains adorn the main corridors. This mall certainly has been plagued by teens running around shooting up the area. However when I went it was all smiles and everyone seemed up beat. I'd still return. This is a mall reminiscent of the 80's and 90's. If you want that feel I would recommend dropping by.

I'm glad to see so many stores open at this mall. My kids and I always have a decent experience and they have one of my daughters favorite stores, so that's a win in my book.

My daughter and I visited Castleton Square on 5/1/22 in an effort to locate a few items for prom - shoes and a "backless bra situation"! We started in Macy's then made our way to Rack Room Shoes. We then popped into J.C. Penny, Akira, Aerie, Windsor and finally Charlotte Russe. In Windsor, we were able to find some boob tape, but the shoes we liked weren't available in the size we needed. I always feel like they are understaffed in this store, but they were still helpful and polite. In Charlotte Russe, they had a buy one, get one free sale on shoes. It was very close to closing time, so the staff seemed to have punched out mentally already. They were huddled in twos, gossiping and counting the minutes until they could close the gate, which they'd already pulled halfway down. One associate saw an item on the floor and as she bent over to pick it up she exclaimed "b*@$%&s are trifling!" I knew then and there that I was ready to go. My daughter found a pair of shoes that she liked, so I picked out a pair for the deal. I should mention that my receipt showed her pair at full price and mine rang for $1 (not free). I asked about the availability in a particular size of one of the backless, adhesive bras they had and was told that everything they have is on the floor. She seemed sincere, but I did wonder if she just didn't want to look because it was the end of the day. After paying for our purchase, I scurried over to Hot Topic, but then decided that I did not want to have to rush to make my selection (I wanted to use my store bucks from my last purchase before they expired), so I turned around and left. Our last stop was the food court. Maki of Japan is an long-time favorite of mine and almost every time I visit Castleton Square Mall, I have to stop by. I ordered three plates for myself, my daughter and my boyfriend. My daughter and I got the teriyaki chicken with veggies and fried rice ( I got extra sauce) and my boyfriend had the teriyaki shrimp and chicken with veggies and noodles. They give you a lot of food! I ate on mine for two days and my boyfriend didn't finish his; he said it was too heavy.

Visiting a shopping mall has been a very common routine in the last three decades . Malls have become central hubs for a diverse set of activities ranging from being an access point to satisfy basic needs for food and clothing to being a social spot where visitors can engage in common interests. So, when it comes to evaluate and rate any mall, there are six factors considered by shoppers/visitors that affect the mall's success: comfort, diversity, luxury, mall essence, entertainment and convenience. Speaking of Castleton Square mall is very interesting considering the age of the mall as it has been situated in the north-east of the city for the last five decades as stated in their website. Honestly, I was shocked and disappointed when I visited this mall. This shopping hub is considered the largest in the state of Indiana. The diversity and mall essence take you back to 80's & 90's eras. The general ambiance is dull. Moreover, the variety of clothing in the big fashion departments is sort of degraded comparing to other locations of the same one's. I just wonder how retailers in this mall can make it to the profit. To me, the only thing worth the trip is the movie theater. Simply, it's an outdated mall with a touch of modern renovation.

This should be named Castleton Scare mall with the shoots as of late. I don't frequent here much anymore, but when I do, I typically don't wander the mall and instead go directly into one of the anchor stores.

Not to be confused with Castleton Triangle, Castleton Rhombus, Castleton Dodecahedron, or Castleton Parallelogram. A good, expensive mall for the rich burbs. Definitely a fun place for people-watching and evening shopping (and expensive movies) on weekends. There are lots of cute people walking around here too, as you might expect in the Indy burbs. I like that it's very busy like malls were intended to be. With many malls these days, it's not the case. I think it's a testament to this part of Indy being so rich and suburban, that it can properly support a Mall and all the fancy stores within. The movie theatre's popularity helps things, I'm sure. My fave store in this mall is the sexy Forever 21. There's a Chatime Bubble Tea inside this Mall - surprisingly the only chain Bubble Tea location of any kind in greater Indy. It's not great, but at least it exists. They also have the Macy's with what seems like the most enormous, endless floor space I've ever seen. I've seen a ton of castles, but Castleton is one of the better Malls in Indiana.

Yeah, I was here first thing in the morning for a Pokemon distribution at the Gamestop. Empty hallway.

I am a creature of habit so if I'm alone I park at the entrance where H&M and Forever 21 is.

The merchandise is high end, name brand. They carry men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes and a small section of seasonal household decor. Yesterday, I bought several gifts. The store was decorated with a pianist playing Christmas music. I found exactly what wanted and an associate carefully took the information for wrapping and sending. I saw several other things I wanted, including Christmas outfits for my granddaughters. I left without buying, but later in the day decided my girls needed those outfits. I called the store and Deidreana found the outfits and put them on hold until I got back over there. The outfits were even on sale. Returns/exchanges are easy. They put gift receipts in each package. The store is always immaculate and has lovely restrooms. There is plenty of parking around the store, although parking fills during the holiday shopping season. I recommend and will probably go back this week myself.

I maybe go in Von Maur once a season, and it is even more noticeable at least to me, when you visit a store in longer intervals. They do have excellent eye-catching merch displays and still focused on upscale dressing and seemed like every section had a sales associate to help and areas were upkept. They are targeting heavily toward the older higher income demographics. It is especially telling when you listen to their choice of piano music in them. I would think a salesclerk would go a bit bonkers hearing taped renditions over and over of sickeningly sweet instrumental earworm inducing oldies all day long. I'm surprised this mall chain has lasted, as it hasn't really changed with the times. As times get ever more difficult with less to spend in this way, it will be interesting to see how this chain reacts.

Within one complex, you've got the Center for the Performing Arts, Carmel Farmer's Market, Christkindlmarkt (during the holidays), Hotel Carmichael, and a number of other retail options, restaurants, and entertainment options. It's all, quite literally, within walking distance (well, unless you're like me and don't have feet. But, you know what I mean). Because this is a central area, a good number of the Carmel festivals will happen around here. You've also got live music and theater (including Civic Theater also housed within this complex). Accessibility is pretty strong since so much of this area is new. I've had my quibbles with accessibility involving the Center for the Performing Arts, though in talking to current Mayor Sue Finkam there's a definite effort to go beyond ADA and to truly become more accessible. Free parking is abundant in this area and the arts district is about 1/2 mile north. Dining options include Aroma Experience, Divvy, The Old Spaghetti Factory, The Cake Bake Shop, Eggshell Bistro, Lone Pine, Graeter's Ice Cream, and others within walking distance. Retail options include Kits & Kaboodle (a great toy shop), 317Home, A.D.A. Vintage, Addendum, Baseline Social, and a host of others. I will note that most of these shops lean toward the more premium experience. There's definitely no Dollar General to be found here. There's definitely a lot to offer here and it's nearly always crowded. I also like that the website will tell you which stores are closed on bad weather days. As accessibility continues to improve, I may very well move this up to a 5-star experience. For now, it's a definite 4-star experience and it's definitely a place I can easily spend the day once I arrive and also enjoy some time on the Monon.
