Nordstrom rack always has great deals and great brands! For a busy outlet/end of season store, this location is always clean and organized! The lines can be long on the weekends but the employees do a great job of keeping the line moving. They do have a hand sanitation station when you walk in and there is someone at the door to retrieve your used cart to ensure it is properly sanitized for future use. Dressing rooms at this location are now open as well!! read more

Excellent customer service!!!!! I didn't get the floor manager's name (male) but he went WAY ABOVE and beyond to help me look for a dress with pockets I didn't find what I wanted in a dress, but he left no stone unturned. I greatly appreciate all of his help....he is a TRUE ROCK STAR!!! I did purchase the most beautiful pair of Adidas... They spoke to me as soon as I entered the shoe department! When I checked out, my cashier was Bridgette!!! WOW!!! She totally killt it!!! She was so incredibly personable, funny, and willing to give me suggestions on what to use inside my sandals to help my foot not hurt, and just overall was SUPER SWEET!!! Parking is never a problem, the location is prime, and prices are pretty good. It's not a mall, per se, but I always get the mall shopping feeling when I shop here. There is nothing that I love more than bargain hunting and discounted clothing! This is my go to shop if I'm looking for something special. The store is the more affordable part of Nordstrom. Make sure to sign up for their reward program. You receive points for purchasing items and receive a discount after a certain amount! They also have special points week where you can get 3x the normal points on your purchases! At the end of the season Nordstrom Rack have a "clear the rack" clearance, they offer even more discounts on items that's already on clearance! The checkout line is always long. The parking is a bit of a mess. They share the same lot with other clothing stores and popular restaurants. That is the only reason why I deducted a point. But overall this is a great store for everyone's style! I always get compliments for the items that I buy here! read more

I decided to check out Nordstrom rack - I have not been there shopping in years. I went with the intention of checking out the shoes and jewelry. For you high end; and I mean HIGH end shoe lovers (I am but cannot afford) Nordstrom Rack had some very nice designer shoes. And surprisingly in the 9 & 10 size range. Often the small (5 &6) sizes are only left to make it to a discount vendor. I have attached come pictures of some beautiful shoes I saw. While the prices were high on the shoes, they were at a very good discount (not marked up to mark down, they are just high price point shoes). The jewelry department was very disappointing. They used to have a glass case holding a fair amount of better jewelry. They had a few pieces but mostly the case held some designer shoes and Men's watches. They have many stand up spinning racks with jewelry but not at all what I hoped for. I went back to the regular shoe section and there were lots and lots of shoes but I just don't find their discounts deep enough. I find great quality name brand shoes at TJ Maxx and Marshall's (both in store and online). The discounts are much deeper than Nordstrom Rack. I've also found clothing such as Lucky brand in TJ Maxx an entire year before it hit Nordstrom. There was an abundance of clothing, lots of shoes and the store looked pretty full, but the pricing just isn't that appealing to me. read more

First of all Nordstrom has a very nice selection of items and good quality. I haven't visited a store nearby because it's not convenient. They have a pretty easy online ordering system but what they could do better is that when you order items and are not sure of the size and then order either a size larger or smaller but eventually you have to return the one that doesn't fit they should have a system set up to return all in one go even if that is two separate orders. Because then the customer is liable to pay two separate shipping fees or returns. It's not very cost effective. I hate to say but until the fix it I will not buy anymore products. read more

I was very surprised. I expected to be surrounded by a light layer of lavishness and that was clearly not the case. I felt real TJMaxxish, nothing wrong with that, as I am a maximista. I just thought being a part of the Nordstrom Brand, this store would embody some of the characteristics of the bigger store, if doesn't. The store had limited merchandise in some area, such as accessories, and is packed to the gills with various clothing items. The line here was extremely long. I left after a while. Went to Nordstrom for some holiday shopping. Found great deals for Black Friday! Bought my parents some jackets that were additional 50% off with total being under $10 each. This is a great place to find a good deal on name brand clothes. The only issue I have with Nordstrom Rack is that it is overall hectic. I see a lot of employees at the front of the building but never anyone back in the clothes or shoes sections. I don't know if I have ever visited this store when it wasn't busy. It definitely has a rushed vibe to it. I usually can't spend more than 30 minutes here. That being said, I have found some of my favorite pairs of shoes at a significant discount, that makes it worth it. Love this store! The selection is usually better on their app tho. The Nordstrom Rack app is amazing and the deals are well filtered. The store is still great for the occasional treasure find! And the clear the rack events are usually better in store. This location gets pretty busy usually being near the fashion mall and shopping plazas. Lots of traffic!! The shoe selection is great here too! The clothing tends to be more on the professional side, sweaters, dress shirts &pants and sport coats. If you want more casual clothes and tees and jeans the app tends to be better. Still worth checking out and you can always return app bought items in store here which makes it nice :) Check it out! When you want Nordstrom clothing but you don't want to pay Nordstrom prices, there's Nordstrom Rack. This store is nice and neat, and there are a lot of women's clothing and shoe options. There are men's clothes and shoes here too, but it seems like not as many choices. You can also find purses, handbags and wallets. The parking here is terrible -- I can never find an parking space near the store, no matter what time I stop by. There are also signs everywhere reminding you to lock your doors and keep your personal belongings out of sight, which is a good idea no matter where you are, I guess. read more

You can find some good deals on quality stuff if you comparison shop. Although their shoe department has a much nicer selection than say Marshalls, the prices aren't always that different from the original price. The prices on things like Ray Bans however are 50% or more off original price. This place is gold! Today I saw beautiful leather Dooney and Bourke purses for less than half price. Same quality, lower price. They had Kate Spade, MK, Coach. And unlike some other discount locations they have people to help you! The dressing rooms are clean, the people who work there are pleasant. Recently they added makeup and packaged food. Over the years I've bought ball gowns, sequined dresses, Lucky Brand jeans, all kinds of clothes. It's the first place I shop when I need new clothes, shoes or purses.... and who doesn't need a new purse every once in awhile! Oh, and the shoes, don't get me started on the shoes. I love bargains and you can find some here. Just have to spend the time and effort of searching. Overall though, i don't feel like you save that much for most of the clothes unless they're on clearance. The shoe section is very dangerous for me. Luckily i can restrain myself with the designer purses but I'm hopeless with the shoes... i think I've bought my last 5 pairs of shoes here. Makeup section also dangerous since you can get mid range makeup for cheaper (e.g. urban decay, khiels, philosophy). Wait in line can be a bit longer than ideal. I just wish they had a separate counter for returns like they do at other stores. Instead you wait in line with the other shoppers. In the same day I shopped regular Nordstrom - and then Nordstrom Rack. I was pretty surprised to see 2 of the exact same items being sold in both stores. A $200 dress at Nordstrom was at this Rack location for $150, and a $300 blazer at Nordstrom was at this location for about $200. In the same day. What a deal, right? Well, I was honestly a little disappointed because this just highlights how much Nordstrom takes advantage of its customers, but also how little inconsistency there is with their inventory/inventory management. This store is great and I like it, but boy it was pretty messy and hard to find things. Sizes were everywhere so you had to keep shopping all racks to make sure you didn't miss anything, and two of the same items had different price tags. Hmm. read more

This is one of the betters Racks I have been to. I think it's well organized for what it is, and you can find deals on high quality product. I went in here for the first time just to pee (yeah, right) and stayed for three hours. Not because I was digging (this happens to me at TJ Maxx and Marshall's all of the time) but because there was genuinely a lot to check out. For those who complain the prices are too high, well it depends on what you are looking at. Higher end items will almost always have higher end price tags, at least the Rack allows you to purchase things here with a little less of the mark-up on those items. Take Spanx for example. They are somewhat costly but the only tights I have ever had that don't rip after 1.5 wears. In fact, I have never had a pair that has ever ripped. I exclusively buy them at the Rack because they are always in stock, and they are a little bit cheaper here. Also, you don't have to worry that Rack merchandise is there because it is somehow flawed which happens occasionally with goods at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. And sometimes you can find deals. My mom was looking at a run of the mill, cheap-y, Made in China dress at JC Penny not too long ago, and a finally convinced her to give the Rack a try when I told her I saw the same style of dress for less money, and it was very likely of much higher quality. With the Rack, you genuinely get what you pay for most of the time. That is not always the case at regular Nordstrom where everything has a high mark-up, nor is it the case with fast fashion at cheap-y big box stores either. read more

Location - meh, Castleton gets pretty busy but at least its right off Dean road. i recommend if your coming from the south to get to dean and go across 82nd in to that strip and your right there. They have a decent selection for men (twice as much if your a woman ;-) ) lots of shoes and accessories. The staff is always helpful and courteous. and the savings are huge!! i have shopped her many times and will continue to in the future. big name brands for 30-60% off. whats better than that!! read more

It isn't appropriate having men next door in the changing room when they have their own area to change. There was a young girl who asked her mom why a man was right next to her in the dressing room carrying on a conversation. An employee was nearby and aware but did nothing. Mathew should have changed in the mens area as it made other women and girls uncomfortable with this invasion of their privacy. (It was not busy and plenty of room in the mens section) Employees should enforce the rules in order to keep their customers safe. This store continues to decline. When I need a reliable place to find an item to complete an outfit, I can usually find a bargain at Nordstrom Rack. I love the fact that I can also shop on line and see if an item I want is in the store or if I see an item in store if I can find it elsewhere in the desired size/color. They have enough brand names that it can satisfy the desires of everyone. I recently found Mac cosmetics far cheaper than what I paid at the Mac store. This is my go to store for shoes especially dressy ones. I can usually find something that my foot can fit that goes with an outfit perfectly. The bathrooms are always clean and they have ample dressing rooms. The employees are are always nice and do not mind engaging in conversation as they ring up your order. You can literally get an entire outfit from clothes to accessories to shoes to beauty products at the Rack. Be sure to sign up to get Nordstrom notes for extra discounts on decent pricing. read more

Perhaps I set my expectations too high but I was expecting just so much more from certain departments of Nordstrom's Rack... pertaining to quality of goods and overall merchandising. I was still able to find some good finds in the fitness gear area which offered up a nice Nike collection but the assortment in the purses/accessories left much to be desired. The Women's shoe area was robust and offered up some better brands such as Vera Wang Lavendar Label, Dolce Vita, and more. I was very tempted but retrained myself as I needed workout gear more than a new par of kicks. I scored a Nike hoodie, workout pants, and running shorts all for $68 which was a great deal! I'd have to agree with the other yelpers that this location is very organized but the overall vibe and merchandising was on the same page as a TJ Maxx or Marshall's. read more

I'm going to tell you a secret. They can usually check you out by the fitting room if you're paying with a card. The clearance racks are affordable. The rest of the store is still expensive for most of us, every day prices are comparable with sale prices at high-end department stores. A lot of the same brands you will find at TJ Maxx/Marshall's but more brand names and classic pieces...less trend pieces. Really HUGE selection of shoes. The slip-on Toms were $34.97 this past weekend (Dec. 2013). Some of the shoes are ugly as sin, but others aren't too bad. Decent selection of Kate Spade bags, wallets, shoes, accessories. This is the only Nordstrom Rack I've ever been to, but I like that the employees wear those neon green T-shirts. It makes them a lot easier to find. The organization was pretty good and you can bring FIFTEEN items into the fitting room! They also have signs to place on your cart while you're trying stuff on so that no one makes off with your cart. Much less "insane garage sale" feeling than TJX/Marshall's...but you pay more too. Nordstrom's customer service is beyond any I have ever seen! Jeff the manager at the Indianapolis store has worked for Nordstrom for 20 years and does an incredible job. I recently bought two pairs of sandals and brought them home in a plastic bag. My grand puppy mistook the bag for some packing supplies I had lying around. Needless to say he enjoyed shredding the bag and nibbling on the contents. I was distraught. I took them back to the store to see if i could fine replacements but they were sold out. I love the prices, but sometimes it's a headache going through the store. Some of the clothes racks are over stacked, some are put on random racks so you have to go searching for your size. And it so weird because from the outside you think it's a huge store, but they have so much stuff it feels cramped. Of course that won't stop me from coming here again; you can get some great styles at super affordable prices. I like Nordstrom Rack, but I don't ever make a special trip here. My mom, on the other hand, loves Nordstrom Rack, so on the rare occasion that we are both on the north side of Indianapolis at the same time, we usually end up there. I'd describe NR as a TJ Maxx-meets-outlet sort of place. It's always chaotic in this store. Carts, people and merchandise are everywhere. The prices are all over the place too. You can get amazing deals or, as I found, you can discover that $539 (!!!) is an appropriate clearance price for a winter coat. Their selection is vast, so you should be able to find something in or around your budget. I have found that the variety and pricing for baby and toddler items is usually excellent. If you're looking for an affordable baby shower gift that isn't found at every retail store across America, NR would be a great place to look. Interestingly, in the checkout line, the cashiers wave little green flags when they're ready to help the next customer. It's kind of surprising if you're not expecting it. read more
