This store is very nicely organized and displayed. I was on the search for craft items and I did find a few new for half the price found online. I wandered through the clothing selection but I wasn't buying clothes on this trip. I want to bring my young adult daughters here for the clothing selection alone. I almost don't want people to know about this awesome place, I stopped here before going to pick up items for our food pantry at work, and I was pleasantly surprised at what I found here. This store is so clean and well organized! I loved checking out all of the woman's items, they have so many options and it's a great amount of nice clothing items, I was impressed with the selection. I was looking for used furniture stores when Mission 27 popped up on my radar. They're a St. Vincent DePaul mission that helps families in need of clothing and assistance, with proceeds going towards their mission. They have a seemingly happy staff of people who address one another cheerfully by name. I was acknowledged and greeted a number of times. Shelves and racks of quality donations are carefully organized and separated by rooms. There is an extensive variety to select from, whether your style is vintage, classic or modern. I left with several hoodies at ($5.99), a lot of Fiesta ware, a Kate Spade purse ($15.99, not yet authenticated) and a like new Eddie Bauer suitcase ($9.99) and matching travel bag ($5.99). I found their prices to be on the higher end, but fair, considering. I believe you can check their social media for sale dates, including their regular Tuesday discount prices that someone mentioned were 30% off. read more

Last year, I would have rated Mission 27 5 stars. The good: I've been going here for a year or two. I've befriended a few of the employees, and shopped here multiple times a week. I stocked my apartment with their stuff. Loved the brand-new home and personal items. Modern and tidy store, cute coffee shop. The bad: MAJOR spike in prices over the last year. my BIGGEST frustration and the reason I stopped shopping here so much is because they probably doubled their prices since last summer. They sell lots of items that are brand new and donated from target. They used to sell the items for maybe 25% of retail price, meaning most things were just a few dollars. I'd say they've at least doubled their prices. As a loyal customer, it's annoying and has meant I don't stop in as often and when I do, I buy significantly less. It also means prices are less accessible for the poor and needy - which is a bummer because it's supposed to be what they're about. Overall, good place, just dissatisfied with the changes in pricing. I'll still come in but hope management considers lowering their price hike. read more

Loved this place, as well as its mission. The prices were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. I scored a cool sweatshirt for $5 and my daughter got a jean jacket for 3. I might not ever enter a Goodwill again, folks. Tucked away on the Eastern edge of Bates Hendricks is a gem of a resale shop. We were initially introduced to Mission 27 at their pop up event at the Woodruff Place flea market. We found brand new, adorable chairs for $20 each! After purchase, the sales woman directed us to check out their main location and gave us a coupon. The store itself is large and extremely well organized. It felt much less of a "This is that stained shirt from freshman year of high school that I forgot to get rid of so I'll donate" store and more of a "holy moly, how is this so cheap?! It looks brand new!" Store. Clothing, linens, furniture, books- they had some of everything. Mission 27 is a part of St. Vincent De Paul which focuses on helping those in poverty through food pantries, legal aid, and other programs to help end generational poverty. Some really great buys! Employees were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was, they didn't have hardly any baby boy clothes! Tons of girl clothes! They had older sizes, from 2 and up. I wanted newborn to 1 yr. They had a nice variety of just about everything imaginable. Some really nice pieces of furniture too. A lot better prices than 'the good will'!! Much cleaner by far!!! Mission 27 is one of my favorites. It's tucked away so use your GPS. They've got a vast selection of items that have all been donated. This isn't a "thrift" store, it's a resale shop. I always cruise through their furniture department looking for amazing MCM pieces I can't live without. My advice, if you see something you want, get it then & there. Chances are they won't have it when you return. One of the things I love about this place, is that everything is very organized and clean. I absolutely adore the way they display the merchandise. I've actually gotten several great design ideas - lol. I feel that that they've got very reasonably priced items, especially since some are brand new PLUS all their proceeds benefit their outreach at Society of St. Vincent DePaul. I LOVE THIS PLACE. The workers are the friendliest humans, and many of them are volunteers! They money they make goes back into helping the community. And they resale others' unwanted items, so less waste in our world! What else could you want?! Their floor is constantly changing, so I pop in there almost once a week to see what's new. At this point, my husband and I have furnished the majority of the main floor of our house with new or like-new furniture at incredible prices. Omg!! Oh my goodness! I just found my new favorite place to shop! This place is so cool! It has tons of categories quilts, furniture, clothes, shoes, houseware items, you name it they have it. The furniture is amazing it's very 60s 70s retro it's in great shape. The prices are very affordable! The clothes have incredible variety in decades and sizes! I just bought boots for $2!! And they're cute and have never been worn. They also have children's toys, including bags full of old Barbies. They have brand new baby items too! I have been to the store twice now. The first time i was over charged and when i called to discuss the matter, I sat on the phone for upwards of 30 mins after staff had answered the phone and i had stated the problem. I was able to hear the staff talking in the back background. I kept saying hello, but no one returned to the phone. I had to hand up and call again. When I talked with staff at that time I wasn't offered my money back but just given an in-store credit for their mistake. I don't live close to the area, so it's not a place i would frequent. When I went in the second time with my husband and mentioned the credit again I found staff unfriendly and not welcoming. They can keep the money owed to me as I won't be back. As far as a recommendation for the retail store I would say i find it very unimpressive. read more

The people in the referral booth act as if they are giving you assistance from their personal accounts. Dont let James haul your items! I repeat DONT let James haul your items or they will get damaged. They treat you like you are less than human. Hopefully my experience is an only time thing. For this to be a Catholic/Christian Charity it was a lot of hell to get mismatched items and damaged furniture. If you sincerly dont want to help people, say that.
