I found Selective Seconds from their Facebook Live shows. They have several lives each week and so many fantastic things to show and we all try to claim an item before someone else does. Its a fun way to shop. They are located in Greenwood, Indiana which makes it easy to pick up your purchased item if you don't want it shipped. Their website is https://selectiveseconds.com/pages/about. You can also shop from their website and in store. So many clothing, shoes, housewares, purses, etc. to pick from. You should check them out if you're looking for great buys with a great price.

Lots of nice clothes!

I really appreciate the consignment business model, mainly from an environmental perspective. A family member recommended I try this biz to resell some of my gently worn clothing. I arrived within their hours of walk in service, but was advised that the buyer went to lunch and it could be around a half hour wait. I had about a half an hour before I needed to leave for another appt, so ok. I mentioned that I had another appointment on the other side of town and the employee said they would get to it as soon as possible. So I browsed around. This store had a nice variety of merchandise, from household decor to shoes, dress clothes, casual wear, jeans, jewelry/accessories and purses. I spotted a pair of Joe's jeans for $19! I have too many jeans in general though, so sadly had to pass them by. In about 10 mins, the attendant I had talked to called me back. I was somewhat surprised that she only accepted three of my items, and I was offered $5 cash or $7 store credit. I wish I would have asked why the other items weren't selected...I buy moderately priced brands like the Loft, Old Navy, Black House White Market, etc. Perhaps they had too many winter items? Anyway, I'll try again next season!

Consignment EXTRAVAGANZA!

Nice consignment shop. I've never sold anything, but as far as shopping, prices are compatible with others. Verna and staff are very friendly.

I bought this beautiful leather Kate Spade for a great price! I love designer resale!

Well organized. Clean. Nicely arranged items. Expect to pay a bit more for the items than you might at other second-hand stores.

Ask the Community - Selective Seconds Consignment

Now you have to make an appt and the soonest one I️ could get was 6+ weeks away. They do drop and go service where they take what they want and donate the rest. What is everyone's experience with this option?

They have now changed it to walk ins Mon-Thurs 10-6 & appointments available on Saturday

Before entering, know cats and dogs are wandering freely if you're scared of either or have an allergy. I enjoyed visiting with both as we love animals, but again, we have no allergic issues. Don't let the stairs deter you from visiting as a ramp is located to the left of the stairs. It is slightly steep but manageable for most. You are entering two floors of gorgeous country, farmhouse, and primitive decor. Every inch of the two floors is staged beautifully. Most of the items sold have wonderful displays of how to use the merchandise. Wonderful ideas, and if you have any questions, just ask for assistance. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and answered all my questions. She allowed us to wander at our pace and not be underfoot. I was only capable of browsing the main floor today, but I do plan on returning to tackle the second floor stairs on May 6th. I love 95% of every display I saw. The merchandise is lovely, good quality, and makes an instant impact on your decor. Regardless of your decor, you'll most likely find something you can add to your home. I'm excited to return this weekend for the Spring Market at Take Root. If you're looking for something to do, stop by the Southside and check out Take Root and Abby's Closet (next door).

When I entered the store I first noticed an adorable little pup sleeping on the counter. I was also told that the cat was hiding behind the counter. I love that! There were several seasonal items to choose from including an adorable Valentines display. This would be a great place to find a gift or something for your home. The store front is located on Madison Ave, but if you turn on Euclid you will find that they have a parking lot in back

You also get free earrings for a year with your piercing (one up to $17 pair each month for a year). They have about 20 starter earrings you can choose from with varying metals and prices. I have very sensitive ears/skin so I chose the white gold option. Cristina did our piercings and she was really fantastic. Once I got in the chair, I started getting nervous but she talked us through everything and checked in at every step. She described it as "spicy", not painful, which turned out to be so true. The piercing kit included a big bottle of wound care to help the piercing heal. They advertise that you can take out the starter earrings after just 3 weeks. I'm sure everyone heals differently, but I took mine out at 3 weeks to put in a sparkly pair for New Year's and it was difficult to get them in since I don't think my ears are quite healed yet. I put my starter pair back in and I'll keep them in for a few more weeks. It's been more work than I expected to maintain the piercing, but I'm hoping worth it in the end when I can wear all the cute earrings!

Girly bling stuff like earrings, necklaces, body jewelry, rings, hair accessories & headbands, makeup & lip gloss, bath accessories, tech accessories and headphones, backpacks & wallets, gloves & socks, and toys. Plan to spend at least an hour there because it will be hard for your daughter or granddaughter to decide what she wants because there is so much to choose from. Claire's usually have specials like buy 3 items and get 2 free. They are currently having a 40% off summer sale. They also specialize in ear piercing (usually free with purchase of starter earrings) and can do this on a walk in basis without an appointment. Most items are under $10 and are of decent quality. They are always adding new inventory so you can go often and find new items. For me, so many stores now have more inventory online than in the store. But Claire's is fully stocked with lots of items; especially that girls 10-15 absolutely love. So she can always find something. They also have gift cards which is great for that age when you don't know what to get.
