I saw so many items that I loved (including some gold sandals), but I left with a long black skirt that had cork buttons running down it. See what I mean about unique?! It fit perfectly, and even better: It was 20% off! Even without the discount, the skirt (and the other thrifted clothing on the racks) were priced reasonably. I live just east of SoBro, though I'm known to claim the area as my homefront. SoBro Vintage Market is probably right on that line between what would be considered SoBro and Broad Ripple, though it undeniably carries a SoBro vibe. In case there's any doubt, this is a vintage market. The vibe tends to change here from visit to visit, though I'm not going to say I actually frequent the place because, quite honestly, it's not always particularly wheelchair friendly. Some of this stuff is vintage enough that I don't want to take a chance on breaking it with my chair. You can get art here. You can get music here. You can get clothing here. You can get some furniture here. If you look up this place on social media, you'll see that they actually have "& Curiosities" in their name - that's appropriate because they have quite a bit that I would simply call "curiosities." Prices range from "great deal" to WTF?" It seems like when I've been here, I've always seen quite a bit that falls into mid-century. That's kind of appropriate considering an awful lot of SoBro would fall into that era (including my home - a 1955 California ranch). When they are open, they are known for putting some items outside (which is how I finally stopped - I saw a wonderful retro dining room table that was to die for). People are friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly don't know a lot about the place, other than I find it to be ultra-cool, and I've never stopped by that I didn't see something I'd want (and will sometimes get). If you're into the vintage scene, SoBro Vintage Market is definitely worth a visit. If you have mobility issues or are a wheelchair user, just be aware that sometimes it gets pretty tight inside and you'll want to exercise caution.

We came here on a sleepy Saturday afternoon and hit the jackpot because they were having a sidewalk sale with very nice prices. I walked away with Talbots, Athleta, Rock and Republic, Free People on clearance and splurged on a Lululemon sweatshirt for full price (still under $40 so no complaints there). Not only are the prices great but this store will make any organized persons heart sing! Amazing organization and flow of the store, kudos Toggery! At first, I was a little disappointed in The Toggery because it seemed like the clothes were just a half step up from a regular Goodwill, but then I found the jeans, and now I'm not so sure. If you're looking for regional-trendy clothing ... you will probably find that here. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the racks seemed a little picked-through, but I think that's because this place is popular and so the racks probably were indeed picked through. They buy clothing during the weekdays, so if you want to find the good stuff, you should probably visit during the week, I'm thinking. They have dressing rooms available that you can just walk into (you don't have to flag down someone!), and they also have sale items that are pretty good. But when you find it, you'll see that these cats have a lotta good stuff. Mostly, you will find streetwear and novelty t-shirts and accessories at Naptown Thrift. Shirts run the gamut from band t-shirts, Mickey Mouse, sports, hobbies and other things. Have you been looking for a shirt that says, "It's five o'clock somewhere?" Do you need a hoodie that shows your undying love for Dayton Beach? Or maybe a ball cap with a black Labrador Retriever on it? This is the place for you. Speaking of ball caps, you'll also find lots of hats and caps, Indiana artwork for sale, posters, denim (both shorts and long pants), jackets and lots more. The proprietor was friendly and engaging. He even suggested a few other nearby shops for us to check out. Several walls were filled with vintage local sport art. Colorful team hats hung from the ceiling. This is definitely a man cave dream shop. Racks were filled with vintage logo jackets, tee shirts and other sports wear. The place is really interesting. I didn't buy anything as I was really looking for houseware and I don't have a man cave. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot.

I was so impressed by this little shop. I walked in and everything looked so nice and clean and well kept and they had so many gems to find all over. I had such a good time there and I will most definitely be returning. The staff was sweet and greeted us the moment we walked in and the prices were unbeatable. In an economy like we have this day in age, it's thrift shops like this that keep people sane and being able to shop for something nice without feeling like you're wallets being squeezed for every penny. They're not just good prices, they're fantastic for family's who need a little more bang for their buck and you still walk out feeling like a winner cause they've got great stuff. So the money from your purchases, as well as your donations, all go toward a great cause. This new thrift store is so clean and organized. Probably 75% of the store is clothing, shoes and accessories, but they also have a great selection of used books, DVDs, and even cassette tapes and VHS for the old heads. The prices are amazing. One of my kids bought a board game for $2, and the other found a Wii game for $3. There are lots of quality home goods and kitchen stuff, too. Nothing is junky -- you can tell that they are discerning about the items that they choose to display in the store. I visited the store on its second day of being open, and I noticed that it didn't have a sign out front yet. It's still early days for the store, though, so I'm sure they'll put a sign out at some point. In the meantime, just look for the banner that says "grand opening."
