My first visit, I walked out of there with a wine glass etched with the streets of downtown Carmel, and a pair of wooden dangly earrings made by someone who lives in Carmel. I seriously could have bought so many more things but I gave myself a budget. But I was eyeing a map of Carmel that would have looked great on my wall. In the store, you'll find lots of Carmel-related clothing to show off your school spirit, including Carmel school sweatshirts and Greyhound gear, scarves and beanies in school colors, and more. There are also sweaters and running gear promoting the Monon Trail! You'll also find jewelry, mugs and travel coffee cups, pillows, bumper stickers, and even tins of mints and treats emblazoned with Carmel insignia. And because Carmel is the roundabout capital of the nation, there are roundabout-related things like roundabout playing cards, roundabout posters, roundabout postcards, etc. The people who work here are very friendly, and I also found out that they are volunteers! They work at the store because they love Carmel and want to help promote the city, which is pretty awesome.

There's a surprising amount of clothing at BoxLunch. I guess I shouldn't say "surprising," because I really had no expectations of what this store would be before stepping inside. But there's a lotta shirts and other clothing here. Also, mini backpacks! Are mini backpacks a thing again? I guess they are, if I should believe the wall of mini backpacks at BoxLunch. It used to be difficult to find Japanese candy and snacks around Indianapolis, but this store is just one of at least two stores at Castleton Square Mall where you can get Japanese goodies. Times are a-changing, and for the better, especially if it means more places to buy shrimp chips and green tea Kit Kat. BoxLunch is packed with lots of fun stuff, but it's all organized neatly, and the person who worked there when I visited was friendly and helpful.

They sell an array of home decor, seasonal decor, baby items, candies, and more. They carry the brand "mud pie" which is super cute and colorful. We got a sweet kid's puzzle here and a cool striped plate. They had holiday decor for 50% off right after Christmas that we enjoyed browsing too. I recently realized that I had missed the date to use the coupons I earned from buying so many ornaments in July. With the holiday and everything going on, I mistakenly wrote down the wrong expiration date--September 1 instead of August 30. I completely understand if the store could not honor the coupons a day late. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, just hoping it might be possible. However, when I called on Monday, the associate I spoke with was extremely rude. I wasn't upset about the policy itself, but about the way I was treated when asking a simple question. Because of this interaction, my family and I will be moving our shopping to the Hallmark store in Westfield. It's disappointing, as we've enjoyed shopping at this location for years, but customer service matters.

The store offers a small selection of a variety of yarn weights, brands and fiber types - including some Knitting for Olive, Drops, Malabrigo and some locally died yarn. They have a lot of great classes they offer each month. They have a large variety of items from new to vintage and you can really tell the owner is picky with whom she allows to set up in her shop. The shop itself is really big and set up so elegantly you could easily wander and shop for an hour. Kathy's shop is a definite must see when you are strolling around Fortville. I just wish I took more pictures to share but i was so drawn into looking around i forgot. This town is also a great place for some amazing fall pictures or photographers in general. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous benches and outdoor decor while you are there;)

I needed a couple cards and was able to find what I wanted easily except for the distraction of the great cheese boards. Fortunately the boards were cost prohibitive, so I just walked away with cards. Parking is plentiful and easy.

That's a great deal - if you've shopped for cards recently; then you know they are expensive. They will be closed soon for a short time while the exterior renovations get completed. Service is good and while there aren't a lot of people around in the way of employees, the cashiers are good and there is an area where you can leave things you want to avoid carrying them around. I believe there are people around to help load heavy items, but I'm not sure of those details. Value varies greatly. Some things are very reasonably priced and others seem outrageously expensive to me, but I guess it depends on supply and demand.
