Hampton Co. is an interesting little shop. It is connected by a hallway to Market Vintage. Hampton has gift type items that are handcrafted by local folks. They also have gemstones and crystals. They have quite a few things in there that will make you laugh so it is really fun to shop in there. My girlfriend and I were shopping next door and stopped in to check them out and both of us found something to take home. They also have nice pottery pieces from local artists. I have been in now a couple of times and it seems I always find something new when I go back. I will continue to shop here and next door. read more

This is such a fun gift shop! From incense to stones, jewelry to Irvington merch... they have a lot of stuff there and I felt like I was fraude hunting. Very cute shop with a nice mix of old and new stuff. Everything was very thoughtfully laid out and easy to shop. I got a ring for 5$ and a little bull from Mexico also 5$. Great selection of Pride stuff. I didn't go in the back room but it looked like they had a huge selection of records. Right in plain sight, Washington Street, Ivington Indiana I walked into a store and found myself in the heart of Alice's Rabbit hole. Full of colors and odds and treasures... Magical right up to the art behind the plush oversized furniture to the vintage Madhatter stacked dishware in the dining table, this store has something for everyone. I even saw my old New Kids On The Block buttons on their table of buttons! Then there's bingo cards and croquet... And jewelry... Too much to see in one visit really. Also a draw is their Henna Artist, Renegade Henna. See her table to set appointments. They just had their First Friday event and their Annual event the following Saturday. They showcased local artists on Friday (every first Friday), and the annual event was a blast with acts and music all day between this store and IRVB. This place is totally neat! My boyfriend and I stopped in yesterday while wandering around Irvington. There is plenty to look at in this shop, including posters from previous years of the Irvington Halloween Festival! This business also sells the current poster, as well as shirts, hoodies, et cetera. The employees both were very knowledgeable on what apparel wouldn't be reordered, so we were sure to pick up what we wanted during our visit to prevent any future bummers - a zip-up jacket for my boyfriend and a pullover hoodie for me. The only zip-up jacket left in a large (my boyfriend's size) initially had some zipper issues, but, after some finagling, we managed to get things back on track (literally). When checking out, my boyfriend jokingly asked for a discount on the defective jacket... and the employee at the register actually obliged, giving us $5.00 off the jacket! That was totally unexpected and VERY much appreciated. The employees were great, the stuff being sold was captivating, and the experience was five-star solid! We'll be back, for sure. Take all my money! This shop is just everything I could want in a home goods store for the Irvington neighborhood. Once you get inside and really go through each little corner and area, it's so much more than a place to just pick up a unique antique or vintage piece to complement your home. Hampton Design Studio features local art and devotes corners and areas to local artists, the proprietor is happy to tell you which artist's works you're ogling, when they'll bring fresh goods or work, and a bit of history on the pieces. I grew up in the area and really felt that the store captures the spirit of the community, and seems to be designed to really nurture and grow the local talent. The content is a fun and eclectic mix of the old and new, lots of vintage pieces, with some repurposed and updated, but some untouched. There were pieces by local painters, jewelry by a local artisan featuring electroformed semiprecious stones, estate sale type finds like Queen Anne style chairs, a beautiful section filled with geodes and crystals, incense holders and incense, matted prints from a talented local photographer, and so much more.
