Both times she has been responsive, knowledgeable, and an overall joy to work with. For our first project, Kristen walked through our home and listened to us talk about pain points and wishlist items. She took pictures and later came back to us with an extensive report detailing how we could better meet our design goals using colors, furniture placement, and even creative projects. I love that she incorporates feng shui into her plans so that not only does the space look better, it feels better too! Anytime I had a question about paint colors, hardware choices, etc. I could simply text her and get her advice. She truly provides an ongoing service allowing you to do your project on your time. For our color consultation, Kristen again walked through our new place and provided thoughts on color combos and how they best flow from room to room. We've gotten lots of compliments about our color choices and she made it so easy. The most amazing thing was that she helped coordinate with our flooring provider to ensure everything matches. Kristen is amazing and would absolutely recommend her services!

I stopped by toward the end of the year and they had a nice selection of holiday-themed items. The store is of course geared toward home furnishings but they have some gift-type items as well. As far as I can tell, they most likely rotate what they showcase in the store as the season goes but many things can be purchased online. During my visit, they happened to be doing a monthly wine tasting and I proceeded to sample several wines. The wines can be purchased in-store and online. Even during these times I would like to "see" things as I shop (but maybe don't "touch"?), and Two Chicks District Co. is worth a visit. The store isn't big but depending of when you go it won't be a full house. I chatted with the staff during the wine tasting, and I am sure they will be knowledgeable and helpful with your shopping needs.

I tend to…read moreignore newspaper flyers and commercials on television, so unless someone tells me about a place like this, I really have no thoughts one way or the other. I have to admit for being a big box store, they were clean and had a wide variety of items to browse through. During the week, there weren't a lot of staff on hand, but the one who helped us was really good. My wife had a return to make and one thing keeping this place from getting a higher rating was that there was no signage indicating where customer service/returns were located. None of the cashier aisles had anyone there when we entered. We browsed a little and my wife spotted a gal who was stocking inventory (loads of seasonal stuff was filling the shelves). The employee immediately stopped stocking and directed my wife to the second cashier spot and she opened the spot and processed the returned item with a simple review of the receipt to confirm it was purchased there and the price to be refunded. In about a minute, my wife was refunded her money. My wife also asked if they carried some artificial plants and where would she find them. The clerk pointed in the general directions and then gave some verbal direction to help find the specific items. Unfortunately, they had similar stuff to what my wife wanted, but not exactly. But that wasn't the clerk's fault. Prices seemed reasonable and the quality of the items I picked up seemed good too. All in all, if you like shopping in person and discovering things you didn't know a place like at home carried, I would recommend stopping on by! Review #3811

This is definitely not a Value City Furniture or Home Goods, so don't come here expecting to spend less than a pretty penny, but the items they offer are stylish and comfy to boot. I'm looking for that "Why would I come back here?" appeal that makes a business a destination instead of simply going to a big box store to get something. So when I stopped in after seeing a friend's photos of the shop, I first noticed that the staff was personable and inviting. I really like when a place that is offering things for your own home makes you feel welcome in their business. It sets a tone. As I browsed through the different rooms in the shop, each was a little different. There are some standard items like candles, knick knacks, some women's jewelry and accessories, and even a few toys. But what I sensed was there were two themes that seemed most apparent. First, the store is loaded with holiday items. I came here just a few days before Christmas and the place was loaded with unique items that were affordable (though not cheap.) There were ornaments (marked down by 40%), table items, and things you'll just have to come in and check out for yourself. I also noticed a second theme that was promoting downtown Indy. They had pillows with the names of neighborhoods on them. Those would be great as house/apartment warming gifts. Even the candles mentioned earlier had neighborhood names on them, though I am not certain who determined which scent represented them. (Note that all the fragrances were pleasant, not some actual scent you might smell outside!) And the staff were friendly and welcoming. That goes a long way. Although I didn't buy anything on this visit, now that I have been here, I will add it to my shopping list on small business Saturdays as well as when I stop on Mass Ave. Review #3463

Tea is normal in our family, and because he is little, I take the time to read every ingredient and choose something appropriate for him. I wasn't asking the staff to do that work for me. After settling on rooibos, I asked how the bulk tea worked and was told to scoop what I wanted into a bag and they would weigh it at the counter. I then asked a simple question: about how much does one scoop weigh? I was just trying to estimate whether I wanted two ounces, four ounces, or something in between. The answer was basically, "I don't know," with no attempt to help beyond that. That might sound small, but the entire interaction felt dismissive. If I'm standing in your shop with my child trying to buy a product you sell by weight, a little patience and basic assistance goes a long way. Kids can enjoy herbal tea too. Families have different traditions, routines, and food cultures. I wasn't looking for commentary or judgment. I was simply trying to buy tea for my kid. I left empty-handed and won't be returning.
