I tend to…read moreignore newspaper flyers and commercials on television, so unless someone tells me about a place like this, I really have no thoughts one way or the other. I have to admit for being a big box store, they were clean and had a wide variety of items to browse through. During the week, there weren't a lot of staff on hand, but the one who helped us was really good. My wife had a return to make and one thing keeping this place from getting a higher rating was that there was no signage indicating where customer service/returns were located. None of the cashier aisles had anyone there when we entered. We browsed a little and my wife spotted a gal who was stocking inventory (loads of seasonal stuff was filling the shelves). The employee immediately stopped stocking and directed my wife to the second cashier spot and she opened the spot and processed the returned item with a simple review of the receipt to confirm it was purchased there and the price to be refunded. In about a minute, my wife was refunded her money. My wife also asked if they carried some artificial plants and where would she find them. The clerk pointed in the general directions and then gave some verbal direction to help find the specific items. Unfortunately, they had similar stuff to what my wife wanted, but not exactly. But that wasn't the clerk's fault. Prices seemed reasonable and the quality of the items I picked up seemed good too. All in all, if you like shopping in person and discovering things you didn't know a place like at home carried, I would recommend stopping on by! Review #3811

This is a really large store with two floors. Upstairs is all clothing and accessories. Do yourself a favor and grab a basket when you go in. I walked past so many things because I didn't want to carry them around the store, but then forgot where I saw everything. The layout is slightly confusing, but there are tape arrows on the floor and "you are here" maps posted around. The prices do vary by booth. A few of the things I wanted seemed on the expensive side but a quick google search confirmed they were indeed accurate prices. Sometimes the cute stuff is expensive! The staff are also great about holding stuff for you at checkout until you're ready to checkout. This time around I only bought a small metal sleigh for Xmas decor, but there's about 50 more things I wanted to buy but didn't really need.

There are also spots in Taylorsville and Beech Grove. I was in the area having some care work done nearby, and I decided to make a quick visit on my way from visiting some spots in the area. What can I say? This is true thrift. There are occasional community giveaway days. Prices are pretty amazing, and the selection is quite varied. There's a strong element of faith throughout, of course, and that includes attitude, decor, and to a certain degree even selection. After a quick visit, I was pleased to see a friend of mine on one of their social media posts. The entry is pretty accessible. The layout leans toward comfortable chaos, but I had no issues with getting around for the most part. I would enter with, well, humble expectations. There's really nothing fancy to be found here, but I found friendly volunteers with affordable items supporting a good cause. So, while this may not be the best thrift store in town it's a meaningful one worth the support.

They generally are known to have nice jeans/denim for good pricing. My husband found some gym shorts at reasonable prices. They have a fitting room in the back, but a man was there working and said they were closing it down. He directed me to the fitting room upfront. There was only one fitting room open up front (one was closed down), and a line started forming. I waited about 15 minutes for the fitting room, which was inconvenient. I decided to purchase 1 out of the 3 I tried on, and they were $15 which is cheap. The line to check out was fairly long too. One of the workers checking people out said she was taking her break, so it only left one lady at the register.
