I stopped by Foundry 317 during a recent jaunt through Broad Ripple during unseasonably warm temps. I parked my car and just enjoyed wheeling around the area for a bit. Foundry 317 is along the canal right on Westfield Boulevard. Foundry 317 focuses on home decor and furniture. I clearly arrived right at the tail-end of the holiday season and a good number of the items either had a holiday theme or fit within the holiday season. Items included antiques, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, festive accents, candles, and other overall housing items. Foundry 317 has a parking lot, though I was actually wheeling there. There's a small ramp up to the sidewalk if you approach it from the right (facing Foundry 317). The doorway is pretty workable and I found the interior to be surprisingly accessible (though I will admit I was taking extra caution given some of the prices!). As I was wheeling, I knew it was pretty unlikely I'd actually buy anything on this visit as it would have been difficult to carry back to my car. However, I definitely saw some items I loved and can easily see myself returning in the near future. The employee I encountered was friendly, the environment was warm and inviting, and I really loved some of the smaller items. I'm a candle freak and definitely would like to return for those. I've always found this section of Westfield Blvd. a little hit-and-miss. The sidewalk is kind of cracked and it's somewhat uneven, however, there's much to love here and I loved the efforts toward accessibility. This is definitely a little gem. I'd seen it before, however, I've never been by when they were open. I finally got the chance to visit, and I'm definitely impressed. I'll be back. read more

Foundry 317 is so adorable! Found this place by accident when I was looking for more Primrose Candles and they had such a full stock and now it's a regular stop every time I'm in Broad Ripple. I really like their seasonal refreshes as it gives me inspiration for updating my own house for the seasons. The whole store is very warm and inviting and I didn't even get the evil eye when bringing in my children. The owner and his husband are very kind, helpful, and friendly. I follow them on social media to get updates on hours and special events. Really glad we found this place. read more

This is an adorable shop in Broad Ripple that opened back in the fall including a small parking lot in front of the building. I tried visiting a few weeks ago after discovering on FB but I came on a Monday when their closed. This shop consists of one large room filled with several large and small furniture pieces incorporated nicely with many cute accent items. Great basic sofas, comfy, leather accent chairs, beautiful coffee tables and a sweet antique cabinets. The large dining table, with the bicycle base, and stools was what drew me in after seeing on FB. Unfortunately, it was to long for my eat in kitchen. The furniture can easily work with several different styles with lots of fun accent pieces to select from. Foundry 317 has soy candles, unique coasters, mirrors, furniture, distinctive home decor, antiques and even offers staging. I'm looking forward to returning especially since he said new pieces would be arriving soon. I'm ready to add a couple fresh pieces to my decor. read more

Wow this place is awesome! They've been around since last fall and this little furniture/decor shop is right my my alley! (It's also off the alley by petite chu) My husband and I were killing time while our friend was getting a haircut and we stumbled into this place on a warm sunny January day. Not only did it look awesome when we walked in but immediately we found an antique mantel, that we had been searching for for a few years now, and knew it was going to be our first purchase with foundry. We ended up waiting until we knew the measurements would fit and then were able to have it delivered! Tyler was amazing and so helpful while we tried to figure out ways to get it to our house. It's perfect! The rest of the place had some great pieces like a tall bar type table with a bicycle as it's legs, super luxurious leather box couches, and some colorful statement chairs. Really high quality items in a small space with friendly folks there to assist you. My wife and I enjoyed browsing around the shop on a Saturday afternoon and met one of the owners. The shop was filled with unique items of furniture, accessories, candles, and other scent related items to create a sense of home. Though they didn't have the specific thing my wife was looking for, they suggested taking a photo of the room/materials and sending them to the shop so they could help find something that would coordinate with our stuff. If you are looking for unique and classic decor items Foundry 317 should be on the top of your list to check out! My friend and I stopped in today after tea nearby since it was a quick walk. They also have a parking lot so you don't have to worried about finding a parking spot! I loved all the seasonal touches around the shop. They had some really unique locally made decorations both for the tree and the home for the Christmas season. My friend bought a really nice ceramic Indiana ornament. I also liked the snowflake ones. If you are looking for a hard to buy person they had some fun coasters. The National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation coasters were super cute and unique. I also really liked the soda/beer cap fish. They even had homemade soaps and candles. These small items would be great for holidays and birthdays. They had a ton of really nice larger items like shelves, tables, and couches. Everything in the store was really amazing. I loved how it all looked so perfect together. I think adding items to your house slowly or re-doing a whole room would be easy and fun. They even had rugs! So big or small Foundry 317 has some perfect gifts and home decor items! There were several really nice larger pieces like the bicycle table and stools, which I just loved. Charmean Neithart Interiors (CNI) just completed a "head to toe" kitchen remodel in my 1939 California Spanish home. Not only am I stunned by the beauty of the final work, but extremely happy that I found a design team who are ethical, professional, and communicative. I found CNI via a happy accident after a very poor remodel that began unraveling a year after the work was completed. Moreover, the kitchen space was a challenge as it was inefficient and poorly constructed. CNI came in, we made plans, worked a budget, and made what was once a fantasy, reality. My family and I now have a kitchen that is as beautiful as it is usable. It literally stops people in their tracks as they view the holistic design and layout. Without breaking down walls, CNI made the kitchen seem bigger and magically made what was once an eyesore, art. Not only do I highly recommend CNI, but I am planning on using the design team for every room in my home. It turns out that when one works with talented people, hours of stress disappear and thousands of dollars are saved. CNI is that team.
