From the Hey Champ miso candy bars, to lip makeup, to CBD icy hot, and wrapping paper everything has been of great quality. I go here often for stocking stuffers or birthday gifts. It's nice to be able to get people something I know that they will love while also supporting a local business and so many small businesses. Recently I went in to get some wrapping paper to wrap books for a book swap and I was so pleased with the quality of the wrapping paper for the price. I was nervous that it would be see through, but it was not see through in the slightest. I got so many compliments on the wrapping paper at the book swap! It's so organized and vibrant in this store! The lighting is great which for sure keeps the plants they have thriving. When you enter, you'll see a mirror to your right with some cute disco balls. Me and my friend took a picture there :) They have so many things such as bathroom products like shampoo and conditioner. Onatah is one of the best-curated shops around. The owner puts a lot of care into choosing natural and ethical items to fill her shelves and sources from makers and small businesses around the country. From little cacti plants to witty greeting cards, delicate jewelry, housewares, lavender mists, body scrubs, knickknacks, prints and more, they're one of my favorite spots to get a gift for a friend. It's the perfect place to find a housewarming gift, as well as something for yourself. Most recently, I got a cute little plant that has lived for months in my home. There are plenty of trendy things you've seen advertised online that RF carries at the same price point, and shopping here saves you the shipping cost AND supports local. It's a win-win. My favorite things to pick up: greeting cards, Graza olive oil, Momofoku chili crunch, refillable soap, and Jesse's Magic Powder. Also their brand of candles are amazing! I enjoy going into independent gift shops and being able to find items, though familiar, are different from what I find elsewhere. Such is the case at Onatah. I pulled up in front of the building (free street parking on both the front and east side of the building) and climbed the few steps into the shop door on the northeast corner. There are lots of plants here for a small shop, most of them by the north window. There are also display tables in the middle and some racks/stacks along the walls with check out counter at the back. There are items like candles, and bath soaps and oils, incense, cards, and chocolates. There are some clothing items, but somewhat limited there. The overall sense is that of welcome with lots of small items to peruse. The woman behind the checkout table was friendly without being nosy. Upbeat in nature which is always appreciated too! I purchased one of the chocolate bars and she filled me in on why the store carried that line. This place is easy to find: just a couple blocks east of the fountain in Fountain Square in an area that has really turned the corner in development. This shop is absolutely beautiful. It has a carefully curated section for candles, plants, close. And with any heavily curated shop, you're going to find either exactly what you were looking for, or nothing at all. It is still worth the trip. I went when Aura Aura was doing there aura readings and pictures. That, in and of itself, was absolutely delightful. It was so much fun having somebody read my aura. And now I have a pretty picture that I can keep with me all the time. They had shop items on sale during the aura picture readings. So of course we bought a couple of plants and some crystals and yeah we're hippies. And happy hippies we are. I have been meaning to stop in to this charming spot on the Cultural Trail/Mass Ave for quite some time. Tucked alongside Homespun, Natural Born Juicers and Yats, this business is in the best of company. Step inside for bohemian overload in the best of ways. Not limited to succulent plants, indigo dyed plant holders, nasty woman stamped metal keychains, leather cuffs, no.8 Paper Co. stationary, fresh blooms and stems, blanket throws and more. My eyes were bouncing all over the room finding items I would love to have in my home. There was also a feel to the space that instantly made we want to host a gathering of friends in the back for a shopping/hands-on party. Shocking, right? Don't wait as long as I did to stop in. They have refillable stations too! So you can refill your bath soap again and again. Great initial response but poor follow through. I wanted to get my niece in Indiana a gift card for her graduation. I like supporting local businesses so I researched small businesses in her area. I emailed several places inquiring about having a gift card so that I could put it into the graduation card I planned to send my niece. I had 14 days to accomplish this. Onatah responded to my inquiry quickly. I bought the card. Onatah promised to get it in the mail the next day. The timing seemed perfect. Unfortunately, the card wasn't mailed the following day. After several communications, It was mailed to me almost two weeks later. This meant that I couldn't get the card to my niece before her graduation. Despite receiving the gift several days after her graduation, my niece was touched by getting a gift card from a local store. read more

This lovely little gem is situated just a few blocks outside of the main streets in Fountain Square, and is one of my absolute favorite places to grab odds and ends for gifts and for myself. They have an excellent selection of plants in all sizes, cards, body care, like oils, wash and lotion, some clothing, as well as a few other assorted home and accessories. I've stopped in to purchase everything from a quick card, to yoga mat spray (highly recommend to keep your mat clean - and bonus - it smells great!), and most recently a 1000 piece puzzle to get me through quarantine. Onatah is currently offering a curbside pickup option that is super easy to select at checkout on their website. They'll send you a confirmation email and list their updated hours for pickup so you can text them when you're ready. Everything was brought right out to my car and pickup was seamless. read more

We even got a picture taken of our aura. It was green, y'all. That means, like prosperity or something. Onatah (I always say Otanah) is a great little addition to its perfect 'hood of Fountain Square. Inside, you'll find a lot of holistic odds and ends - most notably plants (i.e. air plants, plant decor, and similar items). I came in thinking that this place had a bit more emphasis on other products like crystals and gems but was a little underwhelmed regarding those products. Still, it's a great little shop to find uniquely made products to make your home Instagram-worthy and to keep it holistic and free from spirits (thanks to their smudging kits). I got the pleasure of going for my first time during a happy hour, so they kindly poured us a free glass of bubbly to accompany us while we shopped. I ended up with some reasonably priced palo santo sticks for my new apartment and left with a better understanding of what to expect within the small shop. This is the perfect place to treat yourself. Plants, hand made incense, coffee, art, and all things instagram worthy. I love the bright, welcoming space + selection of small maker products. You could seriously find a gift for almost anyone you know here. Lots of clean body care, crystals, magazines, artisan food goodies. Did I already mention plants? I'd been on the hunt for a fiddle leaf fig for a while and snagged the perfect one here today! The selection is nice and each one looks well cared for. Fountain Square may seem out of the way to those of us who live in BR or Meridian Kessler but it is well worth the quick trip! Jessie is super sweet, and we always end up chatting over one thing or another when I stop in to shop. I always stock up on incense matches and plants, but she has a wonderful selection of local, natural skincare, artwork, greeting cards, and ceramics as well. In addition to her stock, Jessie has created a beautiful aesthetic in the shop--it's always bright, clean, and fresh (no matter what weather we're having), and there's usually some killer tunes to enhance the shopping experience. What a delightful shop. I stopped in today after a friend recommended it and I'm so glad I did. The whole vibe is serene and cool. I was greeted warmly by a staff member who gave me some curated suggestions after she asked me a couple questions. She helped me pick out an awesome sampler set of perfumes, a room spray, and (of course!) plants. I'll most certainly be back, especially for gifts. I LOVED the card selection! Onatah is a great little gift shop when you are looking for something unique for a friend or when you just want to treat yourself. The lovely space has beautiful plants for sale in all sizes and price ranges and the cutest planters for them as well. I also love the unique variety of body care items from oils and perfumes to nail polish and deodorant. One of my favorite brands of body care items is Fat and the Moon and I LOVE that I can get this brand locally at Onatah. I also like the variety of beautiful crystals, incense and greeting cards.
