We recently discovered this cute little gift shop and it's such a charming spot! They carry a variety of unique items that make for great gift ideas--it was honestly tempting not to walk out with the entire store. Everything is very well-organized and thoughtfully laid out, which makes shopping easy and enjoyable. On the flip side, the staff could be a bit more attentive. When we walked in, we weren't greeted, and the employees continued their conversation instead of checking if we needed assistance. Even as we browsed, no one offered help. That said, my son loved the selection and ended up picking out a wooden vehicle as a keepsake, which made the visit special. The prices are fair for a privately-owned shop, though you may find some of the same items online for less. Still for the experience and the unique finds it's definitely worth a visit. read more

I've been pining over a cap I saw at Bungalow since I saw it a week ago... My hair was pinned back, so I couldn't try it in at the time. I'm pretty picky about how my caps fit, so I waited. With it being Small Business Saturday and all I made a trip over... So glad I did! Not only did I get the hat of my dreams haha... but I got a super cute reusable tote WITH a zipper! And a FREE goodie bag!! I'm not going to tell you what's inside... but it's totally worth popping in for!! To score a goodie bag you just need to spend $50!! In this store with so many amazingly unique items you'll have no problem hitting $50+ and you'll LOVE everything! Very cute and lots of gift ideas in here for the hard-to-buy-for person. And keep an eye on sale items because there were some great ones today! The young man, maybe the only employee on this Saturday morning?, was very welcoming and helpful, especially since the sale items are spread throughout the store. (I wouldn't have looked in the corners if he didn't mention it) I actually came home with a sweater dress/coat that was 70% off of $90 along with a few gift items for my daughter and pups! I've lost count of the number of times I've driven by Bungalow, so I decided to pull into their convenient parking lot and stop in. I was greeted by the staff and a friendly pup that welcomed me. The shop, though somewhat small, had a nice selection of clothing, both serious and whimsical (think fancy socks!), mugs, books, and home decor items. I didn't really think of this as a furniture place that you might guess by the image of the polka dotted mural on the east side of the building. But it was a cool gift shop sort of place that I could see finding something unique, often humorous, for someone. Definitely worth checking out the next time you are near the canal! What a cute store! Always so many different things to be looking at--including local art, jewelry, quirky knack knacks that you didn't know you needed, and fun gifts. If you are ever in need of picking up a gift last minute--this place is definitely a safe bet to find something special. It is a smaller version of Silver in the City--but with its location being right in Broad Ripple you can't beat the convenience! Note: I will say that you will probably drop a good amount of money if you buy a few things. It adds up quick in this shop! read more

Bungalow is a super cute boutique! I stopped by with two friends and we loved so many of the items inside the shop. There are many fun pieces that would make great gifts for friends and family. It's a decent sized space filled with things like coffee mugs, cute home decor, jewelry, and clothing and accessories. For us, it was mostly a browsing adventure, but I could see myself stopping by again if I needed a gift for someone. The price point may seem a bit high for some items - think boutique - but others are well within the range I'd pay for a gift. The woman working was really nice and she didn't seem bothered at all by our Sunday stroll through the place without a purchase, either. For all these reasons, I'd say it's definitely worth a visit! read more

I really enjoyed browsing through Bungalow. They had some great end-of-season sales and I picked up a few items for less than $10. Score! They had a great selection of poster art and little girl gifts and some home wares. I wouldn't come here for clothes or jewelry, but hey, you might find a gift for someone special in this store. Service was good. They were training someone new at the register and she kept smiling so that's good. I left happy. read more

Cute little store in broad ripple village. They have a nice variety of gifts, candles, trinkets, tongue-in- cheek items, scarves, some boutique clothing, t-shirts, bags... Also holiday decor. And odd ball type items such as a flask tie. It's like boutique meets Spencer's (do you remember Spencer's?). Items refurbished and repurposed. Most of the items I'm seeing in here seem more like gift items than personally for me type items. Things to get when you don't know what to get someone. Or for a host or guest gift. Little pricey. But not too bad. Cute little shop. Fun to look!!! read more

The Bungalow has all sorts of creative and reclaimed knick-knacks for your home: Old bike chains serve as card holders. Old records are turned into clocks. Their album art is offered as card facades. Jewelry and art from local artists go for fair, if not cheap, prices. One artist that exhibits a lot here (I forget his name) has an almost Escher-like style; he decorates whole canvases with paint or mixed media in winding square strokes. The only thing keeping the Bungalow from a 5 Star review is the poor customer service. This store has been a gift spot of mine for years. I have gone in at least three times in the last two weeks looking for holiday gifts. I was not greeted or approached by a staff member any of those times. When I approached the counter, it seemed as if I was inconveniencing the cashiers as they showed absolutely no interest in me as a customer. I left the store bummed out that my service did not match the lovely gifts I had purchased. The products in this store are unique, local, and fun. Prices are definitely competitive. Hopefully their staff will become a bit more enthusiastic in the new year. read more

This place is pretty cool. First time I've been here in a long time. They have some pretty unique gift items, accessories, jewelry, etc. It was nice to just walk around and browse. They have a nice selection of local products and Love Indy items. Items are pricey. I purchased two plastic tumblers with an adorable, colorful motivational quotes for $4.50 each. Ouch! The guy working behind the desk was too busy playing on his phone to greet customer or offer help although he was pleasant as I checked out. Go figure. Great location and I've found several cute gifts here, but it seems like it could use a face-lift. The same guy is working every time I'm in there and he just looks at his phone the whole time and doesn't even acknowledge people entering the store. The store doesn't replace inventory very often and doesn't do promotions, social media, special events, etc, so I worry it's going to fall behind all the other adorable local boutique gift store competition. read more

This place used to be kind of cool, but since they renovated, it's like a ghost store. There is barely anything in there, and 50% of the store is dedicated "gallery space." I've been in the store three times, and each time, the person working has barely acknowledged my existence... sometimes not even looking up, let alone saying hello. As with many of the stores in the area, they sell things that can be found easily online... for much less money. Too bad about their renovation, though. As I said, it was better before. read more

I love the Bungalow! I bought a very cool piece by a local artist for a friend ... it was just a small painted tile that I guess you could use as a coaster or just to hang on the wall ... but it was mahvelous. There are all sorts of artsy housewares and kitchen stuff here. I love to find local artist pieces around the city, and this is definitely a great place to stop if you're looking for someone who has it all. This ranks up there with the Indianapolis Art Center's gift shop (Basile) as a great shopping spot in the city! read more

Cute little shop in Broad Ripple. I have to say that aside from holiday decor, the merchandise here isn't rotated enough to make me want to come back regularly. This is a great place to buy gifts or unique pieces for your house. They have great jewelry, home accessories, decorations, and artwork. I love some of the novelty pieces that are functional but artistic or hilarious. My favorite thing, which keeps me coming back again and again, is the art gallery in the back of the store. It seems like every month or so they rotate in a new artist and feature a dozen or so of their works. I am so impressed with the quality of this art. Some of the pieces I have seen are jaw-dropping. They really are finding some amazing artists to feature. Bungalow is definitely more than a store. It is an attraction. read more

I was going to buy this super cute keyboard box thing. but then one of the employees approached us and told us we had to get out if we weren't going to buy anything. I may not know much about being a business owner, but I do know that the customer has the right to look around as much as they want before rushing into a purchase. the service here is very rude. would not go again +everything was very overpriced even with 50% off. read more
