This is not the first First Watch I've been too. The others were all much better. This is the first one where they haven't served me water upon arrival. They were completely out of tea bags so I had to have coffee for my caffeine fix. I requested milk for my coffee since I don't care to use the plastic concoctions that try to pass as dairy. They brought me skim milk. Yuk. This is supposed to be a placed that specializes in breakfast. Disappointed. read more

Arrived at 2:10 pm on a Friday. The host told us she could seat us if we already knew what we wanted to order because the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. This was our first visit and didn't know what was on the menu. The sign said they closed at 2:30 pm. The hard part for a small business is getting people in the front door. Came to this First Watch this morning with my daughter. We love FW for sure but this morning my daughter pulled out a hair from her avocado toast just when she almost finished it. My fiancé and I come here probably every other weekend for late brunch. It's a great place for him to get a traditional breakfast. I am vegan and I get the avocado toast with side of potatoes and give him my eggs. Good atmosphere. A little pricey for what it is I think, but it's reliable. read more

This was my first time at First Watch and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The staff is very nice, the ambiance is to DIE for, and my server Cassidy was exceptionally friendly, timely, and informative. She walked me through the menu and recommend some great food items. Not a fan. Never tried first watch and I'm standing here waiting on my online order and it's taking forever. The guy behind the counter is acknowledging everyone else but me as customers keep walking up to check out. He is even helping and acknowledging other customers who came in after me. Stopped in for brunch on Tuesday, May 2nd. Place wasn't crowded, but it was 1:30ish, so understandable. My server, Faris, was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and I really enjoyed the choice of ciabatta for the bread base. Not a huge fan of the lemon hollandaise sauce (which is add, because I love lemon), but overall, it was filling and delicious. The side of greens was a refreshing change. read more

We were a party of four and all the food/juices and service were very good. The waiter was a pro in every way. There were two cons - 1) the quantity of the steel oatmeal was ridiculous, 1/2" of oatmeal in a small dish with plenty of fruit??? 2) the table we sat at faced the street where the glare from the sun off the cars was blinding and uncomfortable. The windows should have something to cut the glare. I gave a 4 star rating as an average since can't give 1/2 stars - 4 for the food, 5 for the waiter, 2 for oatmeal quantity. read more

The food was OK-maybe 3 stars, the rest- 1 star. Food for 1 of 5 came out, while other 4 had to wait 7 more minutes. The waffle that came out last was cold, butter - solid lump on top. We were sat at a 4 seat table and had a chair brought up for 5th person, so the table was very crowded to begin with. We tried to get waitress to take away the not needed items to give more room. Pointed out a creamer on table that was curdled, she just looked at it and walked away without taking it- of course, what happens but it was knocked over on the crowded table...tried to get her to take away empty bloody mary carafe, nope. And straw paper, nope. Also, why didn't they wait for a booth to open before seating us, it wasn't packed, so we could have waited for a few minutes to have more suitable/sane seating. read more

For my first experience with First Watch, I got a rude manager, cold food, un-buttered toast but the OUTSIDE of my bag was nicely buttered! Decided to pick up a late breakfast from First Watch this morning before NFL kick off. Placed my order for pickup through the DoorDash app, and since it said 15 minutes, I headed that way knowing it was about perfect timing. When I got there, I told the hostesses that I was there to pickup an order through DoorDash, they confirmed it and said it should be up shortly. Great.... so I thought and I started waiting in a corner of the lobby to try to stay away from people. After watching lots of orders come and go, and some just sit there, the manager comes over and tells me to "get out" of the waiting area and find somewhere to stand outside. If he's speaks with that tone and rudeness to his customers, I fear for his poor employees! While waiting outside I keep waiting for my order and nothing keeps coming. Finally one of the hostesses asks me to show her the contents of my order via the app and she brings me a bag, with a different name than mine (not a different spelling, a different name!) that had been sitting there for at least 10 minutes. Okay, great. Get home and realize that there was butter that had gotten on my car's seat through the bottom of the bag (wrong assumption!). It wasn't butter for my bread because there was no butter for my un-buttered toast slices in the bag - it was butter that had somehow gotten ON THE OUTSIDE of the bag in the kitchen. Since I didn't know that, it also got on my clothes as well. Plus, because my food had been sitting there with the wrong name on it, we now have cold hash, unbuttered toast and but someone else's butter to clean up. In over a decade eating at the Cafe Brazil a couple minutes away I've never had anything nearly as bad as my first (and last!) experience with First Watch. read more

Place is relatively new, and so are the servers. However, they were polite, friendly, and very helpful on refills. Our food was excellent, but you might want to order the sausage links over a sausage patty; my husband got the patty, and after tasting my links, determined that the links were much better. My sister had a very important meeting and we did not plan on spending 30 minutes waiting for our food to come. Saddened to write this post, we typically have a fantastic experience with First Watch. Our waiter was unresponsive, forgetful, unapologetic, and unhygienic. The manager kindly offered to comp our food, which we declined as we received our food and were satisfied. The cooks and management were stellar but one lousy employee was enough to ruin the entire experience. Until staff changes, avoid this location as there are others in the DFW with more attentive waiters. read more

The waitstaff couldn't get my order right. How hard was it to order the BLT eggs Benedict but instead of the bacon I wanted ham in its place. The ice tea tasted like coffee. Do they brew their tea using filters they've used for coffee? They weren't even busy, but the service was very slow. The food was ok, but they didn't put tomatoes in the Benedict and it was supposed to have tomatoes. Plus the ham they used were small cubes of ham. Really, on a Benedict? It was so disappointing. I've been going to first watch for years now so I wanted to visit the new location which so happens to be the closest to home for me now. Great new facility with a great location. The service could be much better however. Our server lacked enthusiasm and sounded like he did not want to be there. Not only that but after placing our order, it was not taken care of correctly. Our meals came out as normal, but the meal I ordered was incorrect. It took me about 5 minutes to find someone to assist with my meal and then took an additional 20 minutes for them to fix it. They offered to comp the meal that was mixed up and when going to pay, it took a manager once again to come help due to the tickets not working in their system. The food was still great as usual but the service definitely left a feeling of disappointment. Unsure if I will visit this location once again since the other one is only a few minutes down the road. read more

Horrific customer service. Have ordered from this location twice and the order has been botched twice. Upon hearing about the second flub of theirs, they proceeded to tell me the menu item that I had ordered does not exist in an effort to disregard my request for a proper fulfillment of the order (if that was remotely true, I should have been informed of that before the order was placed!) Upon me reading the menu item and its entire description was the point where they finally made any effort to help in the slightest. Food is decent but not worth the hassle at all. read more

This restaurant, by far, is my favorite. It seems so small from the outside but when you walk in, it is bright and welcoming as are the servers. The selections on the menu are delicious and very tasty as everything they make is fresh. Love their mission statement! My family and I love First Watch and thought it would be fun to try the new Richardson location. We've been to the other Richardson location many times over the years and were thrilled to see another location pop up in our neighborhood. On Sunday, I checked the First Watch app on my phone to see which location had a shorter wait time. The Canyon Creek location said I would be seated around 10:45 am and that was quicker than the E. Campbell location. Naturally, we chose Canyon Creek. I walked in at 10:44 and the app said there was "1" party in front of me. I checked into the desk and the person working said "you've been checked in. It'll be a few minutes." After 20 minutes of watching people come in and be seated, we decided to follow up. The app still said there was 1 person in front of us. The staff told us that we would be next in line, and then refused to make eye contact with us, despite our efforts to be kind and friendly. We watched more parties get sat down and I just asked if the app wasn't working or if I had done something wrong. Finally, at 11:30 am we sat down. We received food around 12:30. I was prepared for a potential wait and even some kinks as the staff figured out the new location. That's completely normal and I'm typically the last person to complain about the food service industry. I know it's tough work. But the staff at the front was less than helpful and there was no point in using the app. I'd recommend going to the East Campbell location, as the app has always been accurate about our wait. The staff has always been more friendly and welcoming. The food was still delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant, despite the frustrations with the staff. read more

So pulled up on a Wednesday with my mom around 11. This was the first time seeing her since moving out so breakfast at an old company I worked for seemed some what important, just to catch up. No wait, probably 15 tables max. Our server had a bigger table in the party room so I didn't expect her to be too attentive and I was right. We waited maybe 5 min till she offered to take our drinks and since I could tell (maybe she's behind) we went ahead and ordered too. I asked for extra pots instead of eggs on my Floridian French toast, didn't get the pots and really hoped I got the second French toast lol. I asked for extra ketchup hoping it would jog her memory to hopefully bring more potatoes because breakfast w my mom was more important, no need to be extra right? Didn't get the ketchup or potatoes, she went about 2 more tables (1-top) (2-top right behind us) and happened to be more aware of them than us, awkward leaving the store because I thought she was supposed to drop off the check or atleast tell us to meet the host at the register. After the latter of being awkwardly told "no rush", we headed to the register. I asked the host (Sadie) if we did anything to our server for her to not "fw" us lol.
