First time I went in today had the million dollar bacon and sockeye salmon toast. Perfect breakfast the salmon toast was delicious, clean energy not only did it taste amazing ive been feeling great running on it all day. The bacon itself is a treat i recommend trying it. It was so tasty and rich i think i could just have the bacon and some coffee amd be fully satisfied. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. Also i had a beautiful waitress with great customer service skills I have nothing negative to say about this spot. read more

Alright folks... this is by far the most amazing restaurant that serves softest n most yummy pancakes. You have to try it out. Note: this place is always over booked for obvious reasons. So plan to wait in queue for few minutes. Next you should try their morning meditation drink. It's a perfect blend of sour n sweet drink. It will make your morning much more brighter. Egg-cellent place to brunch! We avoided the wait by siting at the "communal" table in the middle of the dining area. You should know they do not have alcohol beverages available, although the coffee is very delicious and balanced. My Egg Sandwich was tasty and the over-easy egg was prepared perfectly. However, the potatoes that came on the side were a bit undercooked, and served with burnt bits of onion. Ordered the millionaire bacon and three of the four pieces came burnt and inedible. Our server understood and corrected the issue, but still two pieces were very over cooked on the second round. They removed the item from our check, which was appreciated. We will be returning as the quality of ingredients are very high, proportions are good, and the price is fair. Service was friendly and attentive. We eat brunch here all the time because we are always waking up late. The food is well prepared and is on par with our taste expectations. The Wife got the Trifecta. She chose the waffle, over easy eggs and a bowl of fruit undead of meat. Hers was altogether fine. I almost always get the Trifecta. I usually get it with a pancake, bacon and eggs over hard. Yesterday, I decided I wanted poached eggs and it was a disaster. Whoever cooked it couldn't poach an egg to save his/her life. I'd say 70% of the white was missing and the yolks were raw and exposed. Even some of the white was still runny. I should have sent it back. The times before, when I ordered a Benedict, the poached egg was fine. What happened this time? Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review. We've tried the avocado toast, the superfoods bowl, the skillets and a host of other dishes and they've all been great. Just learn consistency for your cooks and you'll be back in business. read more

I can't believe that I haven't done a review for this place yet, I'm here at least twice a month! The food is absolutely incredible. I usually order anything with a pancake because they are so delicious. They are multigrain and literally the size of a plate. In addition, the juice here is fresh, delicious and inexpensive. I have been to 2 locations (Frisco and Richardson) and the service has been great across the board. First time at this chain. I found the food to be really good, even though I was given the wrong entree (received chicken salad , but ordered ham and gruyere. I ate that bitch though) when it finally arrived. It took 20 minutes to receive a meal that should have been prepped that morning...ri- donk-i-lous. Staff is nice, but glacially slow and my server didn't have a strong command of the menu, issues with check out too. The host just asked us how many then put our silverware on a table and walked away saying nothing. We ordered the hacienda hash, Italian frittata , and a banana nut pancake. The frittata was a hockey puck with no flavor. The hash portion was tiny for the price we paid. It supposedly had chorizo, but there was literally a tablespoon of sausage in the dish, that was not spicy at all. Tasted like jimmy dean. The pancake was really good, but crumbly. I've eaten here twice now and have tried both a breakfast option and a lunch option so I think I have formed enough of an opinion to fairly rate First Watch. Fair warning - this place gets busy on the weekends. The two times I've been were during the week, but I once went with my husband on a Saturday or Sunday and the wait was close to an hour (we wound up going elsewhere). The food however is quite good and I love the variety of the menu. They offer some unique options and serve their full menu all day, or at least until they close at 2:30... The first time I ate here, I ordered the steel cut oatmeal. I remember it being a solid bowl of oats. The coffee was hot and the pot was left at my table - no need to hunt my server down for a refill! Today, I went for lunch with my grandmother. I ordered the egg sandwich, which they gladly tweaked for me (eggs over hard, no bacon). I really liked the sandwich, although I felt like it would have been better on a different type of bread - perhaps sourdough? The side potatoes were good too. I ordered the hibiscus limemade, which was a nice treat as I usually drink water. My grandmother ordered blueberry pancakes, which she enjoyed, commenting on how "fluffly" they were. The food is always amazing. I have never ordered anything I did not like. It's always fresh and always tasty. The main problem with this place is if you show up in the last hour to hour and half before they close you are in for some neglectful service. I am not talking 10-15 minutes before close either. I wouldn't do that as I've been in the industry before and understand that is just not nice. What I am talking about is like 1:30-45. Everyone is doing their closing work and trying to run out the door. If it were a one time thing I would understand but this is the vibe I've gotten in the 3 years I've gone here. There is just this strained aura around everyone that works there. No one has ever said anything rude but it's just obvious that they don't appreciate anyone coming in that last hour or so. This is my new favorite brunch place. Every time I have went has been great food, great staff, quickly seated even when busy. This place has good seating and gives a good atmosphere so you can have a conversation and not hear others conversation. Don't come to Richardson without stopping by first watch!! It's by far the best breakfast place available in town and even in Dallas! I've gotten the power grain bowls, avocado toast and omelets and their coffee is SO good. The best part? The coffee keeps coming!! It came served with toast & fruit. ( I added the side of hollandaise sauce) It wasn't bad, just wasn't my cup of tea. Tasty ingredients but they just didn't come together for me. It's was definitely missing something, just not sure what. Our server mentioned that it's one of the more popular dishes so I'd definitely still check it out on the menu. Ok I've been coming here for almost a year now. Many times great service from few servers like Kym Josh and couple others that waited on me once. Meaning even if they did not like their job they did their job well with out any reservations towards anyone or anything Food most of the time is good. Many times I get the multi grain blueberry pancake and many times is cooked properly. There has been a (like every 3rd time) times pancake comes out slightly under cooked with a dough y like taste - I've mentioned each time - today I could my server to acknowledge me today & coming from where I come from learned to never WASTE food pancake needs about 2 minute longer on the griddle I've gotten Rachel twice by myself and she treats as if I should not be there. When my girlfriend (about 2 months ago we got Rachel) is with me the one other time she (Rachel) waited on us much different service.
