Our first time at this location, First Watch is one of our favorite brunch and breakfast spots in the Valley. The restaurant emphasizes scratch cooking, fresh produce, and organic ingredients. The new Summer Seasonal menu is available and features items like the Million Dollar Breakfast Sandwich, Chipotle Steak & Queso Hash, and Banana Brittle French Toast. I decided to try the Chipotle Steak and Queso Hash ($18.99): A savory dish with carne asada, roasted vegetables, and cheddar-jack cheese over potato hash, paired with chipotle queso and topped with two sunny-side-up eggs. My wife tried the Farmhouse Hash: fresh seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions and tomatoes, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, and two sunny-side-up eggs, served with whole-grain artisan toast ($15.29). Both were delicious, but I liked mine a little better. I was glad the chipotle sauce is served on the side because I chose not to use it. The Summer Seasonal menu is available through Aug. 10th. read more

We came here on a whim when we were in town as the menu looked great. What an awesome decision this was. Upon entering the whole place has a 'mood' to it that feels cozy and homey and welcoming. The staff is so hospitable from the start that you feel like you're meant to be there. Smell of breakfast and coffee fills the air. We were seated immediately and within literally a few seconds our server brought us menus and some water, offering coffee. We opted for different drinks as we had coffee already and got them fairly quick. Our server accommodated our menu questions and even brought a special menu that listed whether foods had dairy or not. We got our food in maybe 5-10 minutes which felt fast. Despite the restaurant being completely full, and not a single spot in the parking lot, everything in First Watch felt as if it was a finely tuned well running machine - because it is. Dang, the meal was incredible! Seriously the best breakfast I have had, possibly ever. The bacon was crispy and dry, just as I love it, eggs were perfect, toast was fresh and flavorful (which is odd to write about toast) and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned, not overly but just right. We loved First Watch so much we sought it out in Tucson which was our next stop on the trip. read more

While on travel, I woke up wanting a good breakfast. We have a First Watch in Maryland that I've never visited so I thought I would try Phoenix location. I ordered the Waffle meal with scrambled eggs w/cheese and bacon and a side of turkey sausage. It was a very breakfast, but I'd prefer my cheese scrambled in my eggs and not just on top. Otherwise, it was very good. My eyes were bigger than my belly so I was unable to eat it all. Definitely recommend the waffle meal. I ordered through Door Dash, so I have no knowledge of the restaurant decor/ambiance. read more

First Watch is always a perfect spot for a cozy and satisfying brunch. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs cooked just right, and the avocado toast was creamy and delicious. Their fresh juices were light, refreshing, and the perfect match for brunch. And the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread... wow. It was absolutely amazing. Warm, moist, and packed with juicy blueberries, with a bright hint of lemon that made every bite so comforting and not overly sweet. Topped with that soft, melty butter mix with lemon in the butter , it was honestly the highlight of the meal and a must-try if you visit. Friendly service, warm atmosphere, and consistently great food . First Watch never disappoints. read more

I ordered the power breakfast quinoa bowl and it was such an underrated dish!! I was prepping for an upcoming trip so needed something that didn't put me to sleep. This gave me lots of every and kept me full all day! The mushrooms were delicious, along with the crunch of the kale. I would get this again. If you like breakfast like we do, and you want to breakfast where breakfast is their profession make, and they do it the right way, this is the right place for us... and you. Their selections are fab. From assorted types of Mimosas, their hmmm good Pomegranate Sunrise to Pitchers of Blackberry Bramble Sangria (really hmmm good), to the nice and nasty Traditional Breakfasts or being good with a healthy Avocado Toast to a handful of Eggs Benedict styles. They also have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, a few hashes, omelets and frittatas, griddled goodies like pancakes and waffles, breakfast bowls, salads and more. Some of our fave wake up meals include their French Toast using challah bread with butter, cinnamon sugar and a mixed berry compote. Another fab offering includes my more traditional yet exotic breakfast of the BLT Benedict, yes BLT! This dish includes 2 poached eggs on toasted ciabatta with bacon, bacon, bacon, some tomato, avocado spears and arugula, and of course a nicely rendered hollandaise. Everything we've tried is fresh and good. Make sure to come early or late they're a very popular place - for good reason. First Watch, especially this location on Thomas ranks in our top ten go to breakfast joints in the Valley. Kudos to the staff and management - not to mention the professional and hard-working cooks on the line. read more

We came here the day we arrived in Phoenix because it was close to where we were staying and needed something filling. First Watch is a reliable chain with consistent brunch quality in its locations. This location has a ton of seating, but the parking lot is small. We came in on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and there wasn't a wait! Our server was friendly, attentive, and quick. I ordered the elevated egg sandwich with seasoned potatoes on the side. The sandwich was good, especially since I was expecting an overcooked egg, but the yolk ran when I cut it in half, making it a bit messy to eat but nothing too bad. The other toppings were nice and balanced, so the sandwich didn't feel too heavy. It's a filling sandwich and great for when you've come from a flight. The potatoes were nice but a bit too salty. read more

Started out great with the lovely juices. But sorry to say went quickly downhill from there. Order came out wrong. Their million dollar Bacon came out after we were almost finished and was quite disappointing after having to ask for it . Waffles were just a shell with no insides. Had to request syrup. A place that sounded exciting was very much not that. The waitress taking the order was prompt. read more

Conveniently for us the restaurant is directly across the street from the medical centers. We had time for breakfast which we were seated properly to clean tables, menus and silverware. The waitress for fast and efficient. The food was hot and delicious with reasonable prices. According to my breakfast companion the coffee was bitter. Could be a personal preference but I couldn't drink it. read more

We love first watch! For Mother's Day I was treated to breakfast from first watch, one of my favorite brunch spots in the valley. My partner ordered to go so I could lounge around at home in my PJs and live my best life. We ordered the elevated egg sandwich, the lemon ricotta pancakes, French toast, grits, the kids egg and bacon and the million dollar bacon. Ordering online as simple and easy to do, upon arrival our food was ready and the staff was friendly. Everything was delicious as always, well presented and fresh. First watch will continue to be a staple for us! read more

There's a good reason people are waiting outside to get in on the weekends. Homemade breakfast and lunch served quickly with ample portions. The variety of healthy items made this spot suitable for vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free diners. The food and service are always good at First Watch. It's one of our go to places. Can't wait to try the new one in Goodyear

Always a hoot, great seasonal menus. I personally will never go wrong with their bacon :)

The food is good but today while having a late breakfast here we had an unusual experience. I've been here a handful of times and it's always uneventful (which is a good thing). I enjoy the options here and how it's a bit healthier as you get a side with your eggs Benedict and I feel like the food here never leaves me feeling too weighed down. Today, however, I was yelled at by your server, Lauren when discussing the tea options with my child. At first I thought, perhaps I'm being sensitive but then I noticed what a difference there was in the tone after this one interaction. I even left without leaving a tip as I refuse to tip a person who speaks at me if I was their child when I wasn't even speaking to her, to begin with. I probably won't be eating at this First Watch again. read more

We were in the area and ready for breakfast. They had no wait and we were seated quickly. I have been to a few different First Watch locations and the service here seemed a bit slower but still friendly. We ordered a pumpkin pancake breakfast which is served with one giant fluffy pumpkin pancake, 2 eggs (over easy for me) and a chicken sausage patty. The pancake was perfect. My eggs over easy were cooked perfectly and the chicken sausage patty was great. Hubs had the French toast which is made with brioche. He enjoyed it. Overall, First Watch has consistently good food and I'm sure we will be back soon! read more

Went here due to the high rating - food was terrible. Maybe it was what we chose? $3.50 for a cup of coffee!?! Juice was delicious. That is 5 stars. Grateful for the non-dairy creamer since I have a dairy allergy and it's hard to find. Biscuits and sausage gravy were NOT good. Sausage was non existent. Lacked flavor all together. Hard pass from my husband. Crab Benedict was mushy and fishy. Side salad was okay. We went around 8am, sat right away. Server was attentive so we took care of here - not her fault the food was yucky. read more

Breakfast at First Watch. Have been to several of these restaurants in the past. Ordered the loaded smoked salmon (lox) on a bagel with onion, tomato, cucumber, cream cheese and arugula. Served with a fresh fruit salad $13.99. First time eating arugula on a bagel and lox. It was rather tasty. With a bagel and lox, it's all about the bagel. This one was an "ok" everything bagel, but all together, will give it 4 stars. Service was fine, place is clean, prices are moderate. read more

This is my second time visiting this restaurant, first at this location (I previously visited one in Chandler). Let me tell you, as a former Chef, I thoroughly enjoy this establishment. Whatever you order....don't forget to add the Million Dollar Bacon. (I don't even like bacon that much.). Kudos!! read more

This was a lovely experience, mainly because the staff were all so friendly! Oscar was my waiter and was enthusiastic, kind, and answered my many questions about the menu. Just happened upon this place while in Phoenix. Delicious food and really good service!

Food, service, ambiance was good. Servers were attentive, making sure you were never lacking anything.

Went in to have breakfast like we always do, when we got the food there was a MAGGOT in the greens. Let our server know and she claimed it was from the greens since they are "organic" but aren't they supposed to wash the greens before serving? She did take the plate off the bill but we did not eat any of the food anymore. We were seriously grossed out. Will not be going back. read more

I arrived around 1pm. There was a good amount of parking available. I was greeted and seated really fast. I placed my order and the food card they're pretty fast to. Don't remember what I ordered or what it's called but the food got there fast as well. I wish they had pictures on their menu because I ordered right away and I was clueless of what I was ordering when the food arrived. The potatoes were over burned, and then the egg, avocado bacon sandwich wasn't my favorite , but it was OK next time I go. I will look at the menu before going so I can know what I'm ordering. I saw that other people were being attended faster and regularly during the time in with me, it was only one time. I waited for a while for the Check, until I got one of the hostess attention. read more

We went at a fairly normal brunch time and it wasn't too busy! We were able to snag an outdoor spot. They have a nicely shaded patio with a decent amount of space! They had a huge sign with a beautiful picture of the crab avocado toast advertised in front of the door, of course I had to get it! I loved the addition of the fried egg I don't normally get with avocado toast. The pickled onions on top were perfect to balance out the creaminess of the avocado and runny egg! The only qualm I had with the dish was the toast was a bit stale and hard to chew through. Otherwise I was pretty happy with my order! read more

Yum yum yummy! If you are looking for a new breakfast spot First Watch does not disappoint! I visited this location in Phx across from St. Joe's hospital after an appointment and couldn't believe how crazy my taste buds went. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast with one of their fresh made juices. Everything was amazing, the service, the food, the atmosphere. Yes, yessssss and YES! As soon as I got home I told my husband about it and we met some friends a few days later at the Tempe location. I then had the breakfast tacos, my husband and friends had the chickenchanga and protein bowl. We left stuffed and absolutely happy! They have a ton of locations. Look one up and head down there. There's so many flies when I sat outside, trying to nibble me and trying to nibble on the food. The food was terrible as well. I do not like it at all but the reason why I didn't give it. Im going to be generous and give this place two stars for the cleanliness and decor. Very nice atmosphere. My wife and I were seated at a huge round table. I don't know why as there were many other booths available. It was awkward sitting so far apart so we asked to be moved. Once we were at a much more comfortable table we ordered our food. I got the chilaquiles and we shared an order of pancakes. Let me just say that chilaquiles should be made fresh. Those tortilla chips came out of bag. Not only that but they were stale and salty. Totally killed the entree. The pancakes were big, so big that we could've shared one and been fine. Anyway, I was glad the syrup didn't slide off the pancake and it absorbed it. But the pancake was too crumbly. Flavor was good but the texture was off. The food here wasn't good. I'm just glad that we had good service and that there wasn't a wait to be seated on a Sunday morning. read more
