I am writing this review sitting here with my food cold, and I will never ever come back here again. We waited an entire hour to be seated. Once seated, the waitress was nice and took our food. I have waited another 30 minutes for my food to come. It is cold and under portioned. Our food wasn't brought at the same time either. Now, I'm sitting here with my two friends who have food, and mine has gone back to the kitchen. Absolutely atrocious food service process. It is not hard to organize an establishment and come up with a way for people to be seated. The hostess was walking us around the restaurant to figure out where to sit us. We are literally sitting at a table that could have 6 people at it- and there was a smaller table we could've gone to. Food is lackluster and I am angry at this whole situation. Whoever runs this location is doing an awful job. Charging $10 for this? I could've gone to iHop. Now, I'm going to skip out on this meal and eat somewhere else. Pass. read more

First time at this new location and this one is wayyyy better than the midlothian turnpike location. Though I'm sad to see egg and I go I actually found something I like eating here! Breakfast started off with a small incident, but our waitress (Jocelyn) and the entire staff handled it professionally. A soda was accidentally spilled on my husband yet I'm still leaving a 5 star review. Our waitress was so apologetic and I seriously can't recommend her enough-we will ask for her again when we come back. The food came out quickly and was hot, they didn't forget any of the components of the meal, and I'm actually really looking forward to coming back. One word of advice: get here before 9. As we were leaving the place was packed with a line out the door. The layout ensures a cluster jam by the front door but I'm learning that's typical of this chain. In summation: get here early, ask for Jocelyn, and order the salmon frittata if you're in to that sort of thing. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here and have heard good things about it. I unfortunately have a gluten allergy, so finding places to eat can be challenging. The only GF option was toast in exchange for...well anything with gluten. They do not have GF pastries, muffins, pancakes or waffles. Given that it's more upscale than I iHop, I figured they would have these options. They do not. If iHop can pull of GF pancakes, I would think First Watch could as well. What a terrible experience. Lets start with the wait time. Initially the host told us that the wait was between 30-45 mins which I was ok with. After waiting for more than an 1 1/2 we were finally seated. After ordering and receiving the food. We asked why the plates looked different and with some missing items. First, I want to say I love the food and this restaurant. But today I was very disappointed in the level of service and disorganization today. I got pick up and and waited 40 minutes past my pick up time. I understand it was busy but the lack of communication is something that can be controlled. Once the waiting area started to get packed with customers waiting for pick up orders, we were told we would be texted when our order was ready for pick up. I was never texted and I finally went back into the location to see if it was sitting there getting cold, sure enough it was. I think building in text notifications to track your orders progress would really help solve this issue. That way customers are not stuck waiting when they have no idea when their order will be ready. If you order pick up, I would use DoorDash or Ubereats if you don't want to be stuck in the parking lot. read more

Pretty sad menu if you just want a typical American breakfast. Probably not their goal, and, if so, they succeed. Everything is loaded with seeds and nuts. Can't get a simple pancake, they're all multigrain with seeds you'll break a tooth on if you're not careful. Waitress or kitchen screwed up our egg orders, and the sunny side eggs were actually raw. My blueberry pancake had chocolate chips in it. Everything pretty pricey. An extra biscuit was 2.49. Coffee over 3.00. Long lines at the register to pay because the same person was acting as hostess and ringing up customers. If you're into super granola breakfasts, this is your place. Went for lunch today and had a great experience. The Pesto Chicken Quinoa bowl was delicious! I highly recommend it! Teresa was our waitress and we had a group of 6 with some specific orders and she didn't miss anything. She got it all right and was very attentive and helpful. Love First Watch! The menu has a great choice of specialty items. Sometimes uneven servings though- a scattering of a few potatoes some days, generous others, for example. I wish they had some breakfast cocktails... A Bloody Mary or a Mimosa would make my meal! read more

Let's start with the positive.. The restaurant is clean and customer service is excellent. The food is good and there is definitely healthier and fresher options. Negative: You will wait about an hour to get your food. Out of the three times we went, we received the correct order one time. So either you keep an open mind and accept whatever it is you receive the first time OR you wait another 30-45min for them to get you the correct plate the second time. I have had the wrong thing delivered to me three times in one visit. We were given vouchers to come back due to these mistakes, ended up with $50 worth of cards for free food but unfortunately I don't have the time to wait an hour for wrong food so the vouchers won't be used. read more

I came here with my kids at what used to be the egg in I. It is so much better. The atmosphere is open and clean. The food is fresh, delicious, and worth the price especially if Codi is fixing up breakfast. Pancakes were good. We could barely find the waiter half the time. Took us a minute to get seated. He kept disappearing, and forgetting to bring us stuff. I asked him for syrup 3 times and by the time I finally got it, my pancake was cold. The eggs were cold, and I requested them to be scrambled with American cheese, but they were just scrambled with no cheese. I brought this to the waiter's attention and by the time he brought my eggs back, I had finished eating. Also, they had shredded cheese (wrong cheese) sprinkled on top and melted. He also split our Bill wrong 3 times, and after the 3rd time, he still split it wrong and ended up overcharging me, but he took forever to bring our card back so we just let it go. Biscuits were amazing. So glad to find a place that can accommodate people who do not eat pork. The place was decently clean. But there was a lady across from us sitting with her legs cross on the chair with NO shoes or socksShe came in with shoes on, bur proceeded to remove them to sit at the table....idk. We had our one-year old son with us and she made sure he had what he needed when he needed it so we could enjoy our meal. Always love the food and service here! So we decided to give this place another try after a not so good experience the first time after the "Egg & I" closed. Unfortunately this time was worse. After waiting 50 minutes after being seated, one order came without the other order. When the other order came 5 minutes later only half of it was on the plate(no potatoes) and the eggs Benedict were cold. First, I love first watch. Second, this restaurant should not even consider themselves apart of this brand. Food quality was poor. They have about half of the servers they needed. Waited at the table for 45 minutes for food. Saw our waitress twice because she was so busy. Food was awful but we were starving so we ate it. Skillet should have been over easy eggs.... as you see there is no yoke in the bowl (eggs were way over done). Tacos came with "avocado" I got the bruised end of the avocado that honestly should have been thrown out. All THREE tacos had the same amount of avocado. I totally would have understood if it was just one. I also ordered one pumpkin pancake.... how is it that a pumpkin pancake is crumbly and dry!? Pumpkin is so moist. I really hope they get a new chef and hire more waitresses. Otherwise this store won't last. We had other guests asking us if they should wait on our way out and we told them to turn around. No need to spend 45 minutes waiting to get a table for you not to get your food for another 45 minutes then the food is not good. read more

DOPE!!! Hold dem Gutenberg presses! I went on a flavortown experience here (shoutout to Guy Fieri). The BLT benedict was so good, it made me totally forget that it is a dish that shares its name with the traitor Benedict Arnold. And the potatoes??? It was like putting little baby clouds in my mouth they were so perfectly cooked. The greens were so fresh that they should be crowned the Prince of Bel Air. The million dollar bacon made me want to get a divorce and marry this restaurant. And don't even get me started on the wait staff!!! So friendly, I was sure they lived in Mr Rogers neighborhood. Had a wonderful first meal at the new First Watch on Hull Street recently. Despite the long wait (because their popularity makes for a long wait sometimes), it is well worth it and the range of options are great to appease a wide audience. The decor and atmosphere is nice and upscale feeling. Our server, Lydia, was awesome as well. My only suggestion: we would like some sound-dampening installed throughout because the 'open concept' can get quite loud! Highly recommend, however. Decent prices and a great breakfast and brunch/lunch choice. Both our meals were quite good and we enjoyed the fresh ingredients. When they first opened they had some kinks to work out, but I think it's pretty smooth running now. The staff are friendly and food is always good. Go check them out. Can't wait to see how it grows and gets better. Will be going back. read more
