AM Superfood Bowl. I never had Coconut Milk Chai Seeds... NEVER AGAIN what a taste/texture I wish to never experienced again in my life. Great toast. Fruit was fresh... good fruit! Strawberry, Blueberries, Balckberries, and Banana. Hopefully next time maybe they can substitute the Chai Seeds for Greek Yogurt, hopefully.. if not oh well Great Staff. Great Management (He's awesome) he works with his people... I like that. Ask for BrunoMars. He's a awesome guy. My server every time I go. read more

Great food, clean, unique menu Full breakfast very good, and filling. Excellent lunch options, especially unique but enjoyable read more

Service was horrible. Should at least sit customers and explain the wait instead of having them stand and waiting. Host said 15 minute wait and waited close to 30 and still didn't get a table even though there was 5 tables open. Manger came out and said kitchen is caught up and should be seated in a few. Waited an additional 10 and still did not get seated so we left. If short staff call additional help especially during breakfast/lunch hour. read more

I go there for Eggs Benedict & they do them very well. However they have an extensive menu with breakfast/lunch items. The chef came to the table to check if my order was the way I like it!!!! Can u beat that ?!!! It was just right. read more

When the Pandemic was announced I went on the heart attack diet, eat everything because you only live once kind of eating. I realized that good eating doesn't have to be bad for you. We have some of the best restaurants in town to get great healthy eats from as well. One of my all-time favorite places is First Watch! I only have two locations that are my top favorites Hampton near Langley AFB and Hull Street Rd. I rarely go to Langley, but was so thrilled to hear that Hull Street Rd was back in business. They're the quintessential place to go for healthy eating that tastes unhealthy. The staff is always eager to help, upbeat and friendly, they make you feel at home. I have not ordered anything from them I have not been happy with. I even introduced their food to some neighbors who had not eaten there. I took a chance on a quinoa bowl with Italian sausage and egg, since I'm trying new lifestyle eating and it was to die for! I ordered a chicken pesto quinoa bowl for my friends mom and she didn't want to share with her daughter, and bowl was too huge for me to finish. They also have lemon ricotta pancakes and million dollar bacon, which was my go to fixation before I began exploring other options. Go check them out if your in the area they're so worth it! You will definitely find something you like! read more

Friendly service. Cute place with booths and tables. Good spot to meet a friend or go with a group. Have only had breakfast food and highly recommend. read more

I have been here a few times now for breakfast with my kids, and while I think it has definitely improved in the menu and decor (formerly The Egg and I) the service remains the pits. Very long wait times to receive not only food, but drinks. Inexperienced, unprofessional wait staff. Disarray and lack of organization at the front, where swarms of people are standing around waiting to pay as well as waiting to be seated, with little guidance from anyone who works there. I love the healthier options that are available, but it's way too chaotic and hectic every time I have eaten here, just not worth it. I'd much rather wait until the Dessertierie across the street opens at 11 and get the quiche & fruit for brekkie. Will not be returning. read more

We have been first watch patrons for about 7 years at all different locations. Recently the service hasn't been great and the food has been even more spotty. Today was absolutely delish but was especially enjoyable because of our server Gabriela! We will be back because of her hospitality, flexibility, and kindness! read more

My first visit to First Watch was last year at their location off of Huguenot. Great experience, so I was pretty excited FW was opening closer to home. My daughter and I arrived on Friday around 9:30amI. There was no wait, though the restaurant seemed fairly busy. The hostess was kind and courteous, it wasn't long before she showed us to our table. The atmosphere was amiable and relaxed. Our server Jules greeted us in no time after we settled into our seats. I just kept it simple with water and coffee. The menu seemed to have a great variety of options that could cater to people with different needs. A lot of the options sounded really good. The kids menu had a decent selection as well. The menu is decently priced. My daughter had the kids French Toast, powdered sugar on the side with sausage. I opted for the Braised Short Rib Benedict and an additional side of hollandaise. It was certainly not long until our orders arrived! Everything was correct, the food was hot, portions looked great. My daughter ate every bite of her French Toast and she could not get enough of that super tender sausage! My order looked delicious, though I barely saw any short ribs, but I thought to myself that it was hidden under the delicious poached egg and the Parmesan cream. A hefty side of seasoned potatoes accompanied my eggs benedict. I finally cut into my entree. As I excitedly stab into it with my fork which is full of eggs, pickled red onions, arugula, ciabatta, the excitement unexpectedly falls short when I realize that there is little to none of the wine braised short ribs that I looked forward to... because why else would I order this entree? I am left with confusion and sadness. However, it did not deter me from eating my entire plate as it was still good. I savored the flavor of any braised short rib that I did have on the plate. The one thing that made the experience more enjoyable than normal was Jules. She is a fantastic waitress! She is super accommodating and very personable. Jules did an excellent job when it came to ordering as she patiently listened to certain requests on our order to pre-bussing our table. Plenty of table checks at a perfect, staggered amount of time. She was never overbearing. The tables in the restaurant are pretty close, so I was also able to witness her hands full with dishes, etc and yet she still took the time to acknowledge other patrons that were just seated even just to tell them that she would be right over. The next time I visit, I am definitely requesting her. read more

Million-Dollar-Bacon ??? ... Well, I can make better bacon at home 'cause I flip it while frying and split the curly fat parts so they lay flat and fry all the way thru ... no curly jelly-jammy fat on MY bacon !!! ... the blueberry pancakes were huge but would have tasted like sawdust if it weren't elevated by the blueberries !!! ... in short , skip it , and go to the way-better Moore St. Cafe on Moore at Arthur Ashe Blvd . in Scott's Addition (behind Boulevard Burger & Brew ) !!! ... and , you're welcome !!! read more

The wait was over an hour when we arrived, however; there were 10 tables empty but dirty. The guy at the front seating only large parties didn't seem to assist. Others were seated before my party of two. The couple before us left. When asked about why others (larger parties were seated before us) we were told go on the internet. We left. read more

I've given this place two tries. I want to like it. I really do, but I just can't justify spending another dime here. Breakfast ought to be sumptuous, simple, and fussless. Something that coaxes me from my PJ's in the morning. At this I'd be enchanted if my food was HOT. Maybe HOT food would be nice. The biscuits and gravy was a huge letdown. It was TURKEY gravy. That is unforgivable. "It's healthier." If I had to weigh my arteries hardening a day earlier versus dying from a crushingly depressive bummer of a meal, bring on the arteriosclerosis! The Elevated Egg Sandwich sucks to-go. Have a burning desire to have the hamfisted kitchen staff smash your egg in your sandwich so the bun is a soggy, soppy mess? We asked for an over-medium egg instead, and the yolks came back fully cooked. I should never have to come back to a restaurant two more times to address an issue. read more

I really enjoy eating at First Watch. I hop I'm here quiet often. I've only had breakfast and have never really had a bad breakfast. The only improvement would be with the coffee. It's so weak. It may do them some good to have a double brew option since it's so weak. But the weak coffee won't stop me from eating here. It's good, fast and has a lot of options for everyone read more

Waited an hour to get our food. We called ahead because we were in a bigger group but our appetizers didn't come out until 45min and for the actual meals it took about an hour. It was the worst service, waiters said they would check and took forever. Honestly worst service ever. read more

When ever I'm in Richmond, this is my go to spot. There are many locations in the area so it's familiar. We needed to refuel after a long weekend so we stopped by. Thinking bits a Monday morning it'll be way for us to get a seat. When we arrived the waiting crowd was almost out the door. The wait was 30 minutes due to being short staffed. Many tables were open and not cleaned. So everyone could have Been seated if someone focused on cleaning the tables. Some people who were waited did leave. We decided to stay since 30 minutes isn't that bad of a wait. Once we seated we ordered mimosas and breakfast. The food didn't take long to come out and it was made well. read more

Dryest waffle I ever had in my life. They want me to keep typing but that's all I have to say.

Food is good. Front desk staff leaves a dozen on the seating list with many tables open and staffed in every section. Woman at seating podium seemed unable to keep up read more

Stopped for lunch, ordered from the menu, the soup came cold, the frittata came without the salad. While waiting for the check observed an employee sanitizing with a spray bottle, the table, the creamers, the condiments, including the sugar packets. Obviously new employees, with no one to support them during lunch hour. The waitress did everything she could to provide a good experience. This unit needs a QA review sooner than later. read more

I was sorry to see Egg & I go, but the new (a tad more upscale) First Watch is a pleasant surprise. I had the Chorizo and green Chile omelet and it was spectacular. Also I substituted grits for the salad ( which was an excellent choice! Best grits I've had in a long time. Seriously try them. Oh and by the way the only problem I had with the Egg & I was their coffee (it was aweful). First Watch coffee was much better. read more

Great service, lovely food. Would be vastly improved by more vegetarian options. Setting is casual and could be cozier, but overall clean.

First Watch isn't consistent with there delivery or pick up. Food don't look healthy at all. It looks like someone just put this together last minute with no care in the world. These pancakes usually have more fruit. The presentation is equivalent to a McDonald's cheese burger, it's messy. This goes for the potatoes which are under cooked, read more

My food here was all over cooked, the frittata was burnt on the bottom but thankfully the waitress offered to get it remade before I had even noticed it. Unfortunately the second one was also a little over cooked, and my potatoes as well. the onions in the potatoes were so over cooked they were burnt and crispy and unappetizing. -food, not good. service, great. read more

The breakfast items are great. I love the Farmhouse Hash, and the fresh breads make for delicious toast. I also dig their lunch options. Great sandwiches and salads. Plus having a pot of coffee on the table is a dream come true. Sometimes ya gotta wait a bit because it's a popular joint but it's definitely a local favorite. read more

We love all of the First Watches. Our family had the Avocado toast, pancakes, crispy potatoes, egg breakfast including grits with cheese. Our server Rachel was excellent and we scored a booth. Really nice "finishes" in the space. read more

This first watch is so subpar compared to other first watch restaurants. We asked for a booth walking in because the restaurant was practically empty, and the waiter was so apprehensive because "it wasn't that person's turn" to get a table. The food was either burnt (million dollar bacon) or just inedible (biscuits and gravy). We won't be going back to this first watch. The only reason for more than one star was that our waitress was kind and wore her PPE the entire time. read more

My first 2 visits were great, which means servers and management are awesome and have definitely treated me well and even throw stuff in on the house when I have forgotten to order some things. However for the cooks.. looks like some need to be shown that 3 grapes is not the most filling thing for a fruit side... I will definitely update my rating if this is made right. It's just aggravating because I am not the closest to the restaurant and didn't see this till getting home read more

I checked in online, as they recommend. It said my wait time was 30-45 mins. I got a text saying to check in when I got to the restaurant. The hostess tells me that it doesn't matter if I checked in online and that it's been 45 mins, that I'm 14th in line!!!! I talked to the Manaus doctor she admitted that they have a flawed system and apologized but it is what it is. So not only did we wait 45+ mins, we now have to wait again like we are just now checking in.... could now be a three hour wait. This establishment is unorganized and is not set up for serving more than a handful of people at a time. Food is slow to come out and is often cold when it finally does reach your table. Would not recommend until they can fix these things!! read more

Disappointed. We put our name in on the app and arrived when we were told to arrive. When we arrived we were told it was still 45 minutes and she didn't know why we were told differently. My one year old would not have made it another 45 minutes.... hope they fix this! read more

My wife went there today for lunch with a friend. This place used to be "The egg and I " first watch has now purchased this place. First Watch ( formally the egg an I) for me it has gone down, my wife ordered takeout for Father's Day, we ordered on the web, when she went to pick it up the order was not complete, she had to pay additional money although everything was listed on the printout, bacon and sausage was chopped up in the potatoes, in general I was not satisfied with the breakfast AT ALL, although I do appreciate my wife for the thought. 2 stars read more

I was so excited to try First Watch for the first time! The service was great! But the food I would give a 3/10. I got the trifecta which came with a Belgian Waffle which came out cold and my butter wouldn't melt and it was flaky, the bacon tasted like precooked microwaved bacon and the eggs were o k a y. For $16 I think I would totally choose Waffle House or IHOP over first watch :( if I ever go back I would try the breakfast potatoes and maybe French toast instead. read more
