First Watch is a newer location in this area, and I am truly in love with both the sleek seating and the tasty food from the regular menu and the seasonal menu! They have great brunch beverages, fresh juices, and great fresh ingredients for the dishes. I've easily visited over 30 times, and only had one time where I had an issue with the food. Definitely try to visit this location a few times a month on weekends, and the staff is starting to recognize not just me but also my dad. Hands down worst dining experience of my life and we have not even gotten the food yet. We were officially three hours in from when we checked in and we still did not have our food. There was a table they needed to clear for us to sit. It took 30 minutes to do so. The hostess staff just looked at the table every few minutes and did nothing. I love this place as our neighborhood go to breakfast place. Their food is always on point and service is also great. I wouldn't say they have one special item that's a must get but most their stuff is really good. Eggs Benedict is great as is the biscuits and gravy which are both my go to's. If you have a gluten allergy they have plenty of options even with their French toast. The only gripe I have is I wish they had an option on their doordash order to put a spot for gluten free on the French toast. They don't have a button for that. But if you call in right after you put your order and tell them they'll make it gluten free. read more

Overall for the price I enjoyed the meal. I also ordered a side of the cheesy grits which I'm a huge fan of And the multi grain banana almond nut crunch pancake which was amazing. I definitely would recommend giving this breakfast restaurant an opportunity. It may not be as traditional as a lot of the mom and pop shops but it's still very very good. So we just left First Watch in Mesa. Decided to try this place on a recommendation from my Aunt who frequents the Sun City location and I've been wanting to try for sometime. This location looks fairly new. We were seated immediately upon arrival. We were initially greeted by a server Gabby. Then we got our server and honestly cannot remember her name. I ordered the 2 for You with 1/2 Havarati Roast beef sandwich and 1/1 Honey Pecan Chicken Salad. On the sandwich, it's served with a side of horseradish sauce that really makes this sandwich. Both were very tasty. My husband ordered the Trifecta with over medium and Bacon and Waffle. He said all was very good. He also ordered a Bloody Mary that is served with a piece of soaked bacon soaked in Vodka which he said was really good. All in all a very nice visit and good food. PLUS my husband scores big on one of their table wares. That just made his day. So thank you for good food and great service. Our server was so nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. I have never been disappointed with their food and today was no exception. I always try to get something different. Update: before the business commented on here I had emailed them and left a message and then when they sent me this email, I emailed this email and it's been three weeks and still nothing. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. Everyone I have told our story to has been shocked that a restaurant would treat their customers this way. We have already found a better breakfast place to eat at who can actually get their food out hot and the food is better too This is mainly directed at the Manager Debbie. We have always enjoyed our experience here on the exception we get cold food sometimes. It happens at every restaurant and we don't get upset or anything but this time when we went, I ordered the same power wrap I always get and normally it is super hot but this time it wasn't. So I sent it back and Debbie brought the new one out to me explaining how she tested the temperature on it and we need to find a different First Watch to eat at because we weren't a good fit for here. I was absolutely shocked. We told her we wanted the bill and she said don't worry. She came back a few minutes later and told us she called corporate and explained the situation. What situation? She said we come in all the time and send food back which isn't true. We only send food back when it's cold. Believe me I'm not going to waste food and I don't want to wait for it to be remade. I'm usually very hungry at the time so I'm not wanting to wait. This was our happy place we came to relax and enjoy good food but I see that is not going to be the case anymore. This review isn't directed at any of the other waitstaff. They have an amazing staff there on the exception of Debbie, who we've never really dealt with before. First time at First watch, got on the waitlist online waited 25 min to be seated not bad for a Saturday. It was busy as always once seated waited another 15 min to be acknowledged and got our drink order from the juice bar they were tasty. The entrees are wonderful and creative. Our servers have always been very reliable and kind. I'm not a morning person but this place makes me want to wake up to enjoy something special.
