So not 100% sure about food but definitely not going here. My little sister had her card scammed by an employee which is the first thing wrong. Multiple charges between Friday and Tuesday when fraud alert locked my sister's card and alerted her to what was going on. My sister being young, she asks my mom for help which results in my mom having to talk to a manager who was defensive until blatant facts were put in front of her, to which she still tried to argue by not as intensely. Some of the charges on my sisters card were from there on days she did not visit this place and my mom asked about reversing the charges to which management declined and said we had to sort it out with the bank. Long story short, they stole hundreds of dollars (no lie. One charge alone was $100, plus many others) and management refused to look into it and right the wrongs done. In my opinion, if you protect thieves and bad do-ers, that must be who you are as a person, especially if you keep them around when the facts are in front of you. Would not recommend simply because employees cannot be trusted. I don't care if you have delicious beignets or not, it's not worth the hassle of being stolen from. read more

I do not care for the open concept for the First Watch restaurants. They make it difficult to have conversation. The food is always good. This location has too much competition with noise in their design, close proximity of tables, and next door to a boxing gym. read more

I love every First Watch I've visited; each one feels like a perfect little diner with quick service, great eggs-over-easy, and a friendly smile from the cashier. This one's no exception, but I really don't like the layout of the dining room, with that big open archway into the kitchen with its racks of food-service cans and the cooks bustling about. It's just ugly. Other than that, though, this is the usual First Watch magic, uber-quick service and great food at a reasonable price. Recently ate here for the first time. I was with two lady friends. The service was superb and they were very patient with us spending a long time gabbing over coffee. We ate the Belgian Waffle with fruit compote and syrup with a side of bacon. Everything was delicious and they kept a carafe of hot coffee full the entire time. Definitely recommend it ! Bottom Line Up Front: Food is good/decent. Not as healthy as it tries to portray itself. Came here after running the Stars and Stripes 5K. It was very crowded, probably because its July 4th. The restaurant is clean with classic decor. Looks like a more "homie" IHOP or Dennys. First impression of this place is that the food will be super healthy. After looking at the menu and seeing the actual dish as they came out, not so much. Maybe one or two items on the menu were actually healthy. Everything else was full of carbs, unnecessary fats, and not very much protein. I ordered the BLT Benedict which was apart of their summer specials. The dish consisted of two poached eggs over tomatoes and bacon on a ciabatta with avocado on the side. It was topped with spinach and a drizzle of hollandaise, which I guess makes it a bit more healthy... doesn't matter since its bacon and I wasn't really worried about staying healthy, I mean its 4th of July... live alittle for America! Some of the other dishes my table ordered were filled with carbs and dairy based ingredients. All in all, the food was good/decent. But, their selling point is a joke. So, if you want to steer away from the likes of Dennys or IHOP, try this place. But, there are plenty of other breakfast/lunch places to try throughout KC that are way better than this place. read more

Although the food wasn't bad, it is crazy that this place is marketed as a "Healthy Choice". I couldn't get a lunch without MSG that was also gluten-free and dairy-free. My family and I ate brunch here on our way to Branson. It was perfect. We could get on the wait list as we drove there, and the food was fresh and healthy. I loved the smooth finish of the coffee (reminded me of when I was in Central America), my daughter was impressed with the waffles, and they gave us to-go cups for our drinks. I had a homemade chocolate chip muffin with my omelet that tasted like they used organic flour to make it. No complaints. read more

Stopped in for brunch with a friend. This was my first visit here and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu was just a little difficult to read but the food was worth the effort to figure it out. Family friendly but a little difficult to find unless you know where it is. The food presented well, coffee nice and hot, and everything seemed fresh and flavorful. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Love, love, love this place! Food is unique and very flavorful. Staff is exceptionally nice and attentive. My mother-in-law ordered Eggs Benedict with salmon that was slightly delayed (maybe 3 minutes) because they changed the water out and it wasn't hot enough yet. We had 3 different people - the director of operations for the KC region, the manager, and our server - stop by to make sure her eggs were good and to apologize for wait. Second visit in about 3 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Large crowd especially today, New Years day, about 20minute wait today but very organized and moves quick. Staff is very friendly and efficient although busy very organized and the same goes for kitchen. As a semi retired chef from New Orleans I was very impressed watching the kitchen in action, they have an open kitchen and are very visible, even with a full room and line waiting no confusion on the line everyone is doing his job quietly and efficiently and food , nicely presented, is quick to come out. Nice size menu with many healthy choices, coffee is good and strong and pot is put on table so u can refill when you want. The two meals I had were BLT Benedict, it came with beautiful side salad of mixed greens, and the Acapulco Express omelet with Chorizo sausage, green chilies, avocado, 2 cheeses, onion and salsa on side and includes English muffin and potatoes, both dishes were excellent and the skillet hashes also look good . Lunch/brunch style options also available but haven't tried those yet but plan to return many more times. read more

This plave is great. I wanted to try the entire menu. I had the chickichanga which was so good. I also got the "root down" which was a house juice they make fresh daily. Sooooooo good.
