I've only been to first watch once and even then had a bad experience with service. But wanted to try it out a second time and again was met with bad service. For one it took 10 minutes for our server to come to our table and ask for drinks. My server Jordan told me they do samples so I asked for two samples I got one and was still waiting for my second one . The entire time she didn't once stop at our table and ask if we needed anything or checked up. I had to flag down another server who was walking by to get my second sample. I finally was able to order my drink and once the food got there I noticed I didn't have a straw and wanted to ask for a lemon. Was waiting more and more as our server came and went to the kitchen and tended to other tables BUT ours! By this time I just wanted to eat and leave my food was getting cold but I couldn't drink without my straw (I got the tangerine dream that has cold foam on top) we then had to flag another server down who gave me a straw and a lemon all while our server Jordan was no where to be found. My husband also got a cold brew and he noticed she didn't even ask him if he wanted cream or sugar she just gave him plain cold brew coffee so we had to ask for that as well and of course wasn't from Jordan but another server. Towards the end of this horrible brunch experience, our server Jordan comes & drops off the check, doesn't ask if we needed boxes if we need anything else if we want dessert if we're OK she just drops off the receipt half heartly says no rush. Got in line ahead with the mobile app. Table for six was ordered with a 45 min to 1 hour wait. Got to the restaurant, it was packed, granted it is a holiday weekend. Waited for over an hour then asked host when our table may be ready. Told that ours was the very next in line for a table of six. A table was leaving right beside the host. I asked if this would be our table. He said yes, that it would just take a minute to get it ready. Brought my party in, table was given to someone else who told me that another employee had given the table to someone else. How does this happen? Isn't that the point of a wait list? Then we were told we would get the very next table. A party left a few minutes later, it took a solid 13 min before it was cleaned. Turns out it was the "sticky table"... apparently the sun hit the varnish making the sticky. They assure you it is clean even though it feels like it is coated in old syrup. Have been to other locations with good experiences.. My guess is that the Westgate one just survives b/c of the busy location and so perhaps they have little care that they provide such abhorrent service and sticky tables. read more

First time at this location in Glendale. There was a 40 minute wait which is typical for a First Watch. Kind of a bit hard to wait at this location as it's in a small parking lot. I put my name on the list from the car and this was the longest wait I have ever had with that method. As always, food is on point. My favorite brunch spot ever! I love the aesthetic of the place. I'm not a huge fan of the iced coffee but my friends will drink 2-3 of them in one sitting. The purple haze is refreshing, the lavender is not overpowering. Cannot go wrong with the traditional which has the best pork sausage. The farm stand tacos have me daydreaming of them! Same with the waffles and the pumpkin pancake. The portions are great for what you pay. Staff is always friendly, helpful and quick. I love First Watch so much and was happy to have the chance to take a few of my kids with me to this location this week. We love the breakfast they offer and I try and go to all the new locations when i can. I tend to stay away from the Stadium on the weekends, but mid week it's not too bad traffic wise during the day. Parking was easy and we lucked out with being seated right away when we walked in. The location is clean, nice lighting with the large windows and great size booths. There is a bar to sit at if alone or don't want to wait for a table. Our server June greeted us soon after seating, brought us some water, take our drink order and gave us a few moments to look over the menu. I love the eggs Benedict options, but decided to have the elevated egg sandwich which I also enjoy. My kids had the traditional breakfast and the farmhouse hash. Pretty nice place for brunch with decent parking. We had a party of 3 with no wait time. There freshly squeezed juices were perfect since it was already over 100 degree for the day. We had 3 different breakfast meals and they were all well prepared and fresh. They forgot the sour cream on one meal but did correct when addressed. Place is very clean and noise level is very low. First visit, and likely last... Quickly seated and she was ready to take our order. Picked up the menu, ordered drinks and when Esther returned I asked what she recommended for gluten free. She pointed to two quinoa bowls and also told me the potatoes are gluten free as well. Wanting a more traditional breakfast I went with The Works Omelet. (Generally an Omelet should be safe from gluten and she made no remarks otherwise) Breakfast was brought and I realized I wanted to try the millionaire bacon and ordered that a well. The bacon came right out quickly, room temp and it's honestly the thin cheap type bacon with a drizzle of maple syrup and a dusting of a "little heat" sprinkle. It was the saddest portrayal of millionaires bacon I've ever seen or tasted. Shortly after that our bill was brought and would we like a refill. I had barely finished 1/2 my glass, a piece of bacon and few bites of omelet. We caught the next waitress and asked for a to go container and tea to go so we could clear the booth. The next morning I ordered another fun drink from the menu. The pineapple express but they were out of the sugar rim mint and the drink just fell short gin general tasted a bit like watered down orange juice. My daughter had a waffle and said it was probably the best waffle she had ever had and I had the Frittata Rustica, it was fair but not as good as the benedict so I did not even bother taking a photo.
