Chorizo breakfast burrito

So many options on the menu! Our server recommended the salsa served hot - not spicy hot but temperature hot. It was fire roasted and served warm (a first for me) but delicious! Homemade corn tortillas are so good! The staff is very friendly. The decor and vibe is cool too. Outdoor seating on the covered patio is available.

3.5-4 Good spot for brunch if you are wanting Hispanic / Mexican food. It does get busy, there is indoor and outdoor seating. It is very loud, loud music playing. Customer service was good. The time it took to get our food was good too, didn't take a long time. We ordered the chilaquiles for two. The portion is a good size. The salsa on the chilaquiles was okay. The asada and chicken were really good tho. Tried their tres leches, it was good too.

I noticed some Tesla charging ports in the entrance but were not operational and the staff told me the management is working g with the shipping center management to get them operational. We were seated sooner than expected. The ambiance and decor is very classy and inviting. Music keeps the vibes going I did notice everything very clean. The cafe de olla is delicious and comes with complimentary conchita. Our food was made to order and just as we asked. Everything was delicious and the homemade corn tortillas were bomb. I had salsa tatemada very good. Our server seemed to be very busy but still managed to provide great service to us. The menu has lots of items I can't wait to try. I will be back. I did like the chef coming out with everyone's order to each table. A nice touch. Bathrooms were clean and it made me smile.

I wanted to love this spot since it's new to Avondale and in a convenient location. However, while the interior decor is beautiful and the patio has full coverings from the sun, the food and service were lacking. The wait time for the food was roughly 30 minutes. We were there for brunch. My eggs came out hard which is overcooked from the over easy I requested. Hash browns were disgusting. Like they were cooked in old oil. We sat there for some time before the server came back to give us the check. I think standard good service is picking up the empty plates when dropping off the check. Or at least after collecting the payment. In conclusion, the atmosphere is pretty but the food and service were not good. Do not recommend.

Cute place, great vibe, indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Great music playing throughout. Service was good, early on a Sunday am wasn't too packed but by the time we left 930 there was a wait lined up outside. There were many things being served that I def want to come back and try. The relleno was sooo good and flavorful. My eggs, machaca, and hash browns was kinda plain, to my own fault but it was still flavorful! We will def be back. The prices were normal $14-22 per plate.

As far as a brand new restaurant goes, this place is doing everything right. Sure you might have your speed bumps along the way, but as some say, this place has "good bones". The service is extremely friendly, the restaurant is clean and stylish, and the food is original and flavorful. We ordered the Chilaquiles and the French Toast. Everything tasted great and the portions were large! We can't wait to see how this place grows, improves, and solidifies itself as a marquee brunch diner!

New spot, our first time! We heard nothing but great things about Poca Madre so we had to try it out! From the moment you walk in, the vibes are vibing! Good music open clean dining room with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. There were 6 in our party and we all enjoyed something different both food and cocktails, no complaints! We look forward to returning for Brunch!!!

First time visiting and food was great ! Ambiance was great ! Service was great ! Waitress was Viviana she provided excellent service on top of it ! I do recommend to go early and if It's more than 6 people the wait time will be an hour for sure. We waited 56 minutes , even though host offer outside tables it was hot and we waited for inside tables . Overall it was good and honestly food portions are more than enough ! I order protein bowl and it was delicious ! I also order Mazapan iced coffee and it was ok not my favorite so switched to cucumber limon agua Fresca and it was delicious !

What a cute place! We went there for a family dinner and everything was awesome. The food was perfect. Definitely try the guacamole with chicharron. My grandson got a kids meal and it was huge. Service was top notch also. Can't wait to go back!

Food is ok nothing special, had the menudo it was $18 for a medium size bowl with some seasoning and lime it was decent, definitely not worth the $18 better off going to food city. Waitresses were nice but definitely need more training on what the food items need when being taken to the table such as the menudo needs the tortillas, limes, oregano and chili flakes. I had to ask for them and took forever to bring making my menudo lukewarm.

I asked with carne asada but got the order wrong and got chorizo instead . They were good. Cafe de olla comes with a conchita,

I visited twice, first for breakfast and then for lunch. On my second visit, I ordered pozole, but I was quite disappointed. It didn't have enough hominy, and it wasn't fully cooked. There was a fair amount of meat, though. Pozole is traditionally served with cabbage, radishes, not onion, and cilantro--that's for menudo. On the bright side, the flavor was good. Cafe de olla is delicious and comes with a conchita. The waitress was a bit off, either distracted or making mistakes when we asked for simple things. I'll probably come back when waitresses get more experienced. Two different waitresses were getting the orders wrong.

The food was amazing but the service was a little chaotic. The restaurant was clean and food came out in a timely manner once we sat.

First Watch - Biscuits & Turkey Sausage Gravy With Eggs

If you're debating whether to try First Watch... just go. Seriously…read more We ordered like people who hadn't eaten in days: biscuits and gravy (as a "side"... sure), seasonal fruit (grapes, pineapple, strawberries), and the chimichurri steak & eggs with hash as our main. Oh--and a kale tonic drink to feel responsible, plus iced coffee because balance. Everything? Absolutely delicious. Not one weak link. We ended up sharing everything and still had more than enough food for two people--which is rare unless you accidentally order for a family of four like we did. The real problem now is we've seen the rest of the menu... and we want all of it. So yeah, we're definitely coming back with a better strategy (and probably more stomach capacity). Staff was super attentive, our waiter was phenomenal, and the whole modern farmhouse vibe is actually really well done--clean, bright, and "Instagram-but-not-trying-too-hard." Also, underrated detail: the bathrooms. Four individual private units instead of the usual awkward stall situation. Huge win. Final verdict: great food, great service, great vibe. Come hungry... and maybe bring a game plan.

They weren't super busy so we got seated immediately. Our server David was very polite and attentive. He checked in frequently and helped explain some menu items for us. Shame he wasn't also on the menu because he looks like a snack. We started with the Empanadas with Chorizo, Potato, and Cheese. The appetizer portion comes with 5. These were very good, the dough tasted fresh like they were made to order. For our main entree we shared the Alebrije Parrillada for two. This gave us a good sampling of multiple meats and sides. Everything comes served in a hot molcajete. My favorite meats were the chorizo and the shrimp. My favorite bite overall was the toasted Oaxacan cheese. So good - I could've eaten an entire plate of just that. The rice and beans were decent, however the beans could have benefited from a little more salt. You can choose either flour or corn tortillas. My only qualm would be that there were some temperature inconsistencies among the various components. Some were borderline room temperature, like they had been cooked first; others were piping hot. Overall taste was great though. Will I return? Absolutely yes. If you're craving home-cooked style Mexican food that doesn't leave you feeling super heavy - this is the spot to try.
