Let me start by saying I am beyond impressed with this establishment. We came from Georgia to watch Daytona 500 this past weekend, and our Uber driver suggested to try First Watch for breakfast. We've never here before and we have a First Watch near our home just have never been. Now like I mentioned it was Daytona 500 weekend every single restaurant was crazy busy, but WOW WOW First Watch staff members seriously ROCKED!!! They were able to seat a table of 3 very quickly, our waitress was AMAZING had a great personality and was very friendly, she took our order super fast which I appreciated because after a night of tailgating we were ready to eat I used the restroom to wash up and the bathrooms were spotless and smelled SO GOOD (yes kind of weird memory but hey it matters) the atmosphere was great it didn't feel cluttered at all even with a packed house. They also have outside seating which we didn't use we choose an inside table. Our food arrived quickly and people let me TELL YOU this food was INCREDIBLE!! My husband and son loved their meals as well absolutely NO complaints from my picky eaters. The cost was about average but I promise my great experience will continue bringing me back anytime we visit Daytona Beach, and I'm super happy that their is a location near my home in Georgia. I want to say THANK YOU for such a great breakfast, amazing customer service and such a well put together establishment you made our family vacation that more enjoyable! read more

We came in and everyone working was super friendly! It was busy but we still felt very tended to. Hannah was our server and the lemon ricotta pancakes she suggested were awesome. Restaurants has wonderful decor and the staff were polite; however, the food is nothing to brag about. I had a chimichanga breakfast which was probably the worst version of Mexican food I've ever tasted. It was dry and barely had anything inside. I was basically a rolled toasted tortilla shell. It was so disgusting that I had one bites and couldn't swallow it. Didn't eat it at all but was charged and made to pay full price. I had to leave and go to another restaurant for breakfast. I will never go back. I was cheated out of my money. read more

I visited a few times when they first opened and raved about how good they were. Good healthy breakfast. Took a friend this past Saturday and it was like it was a completely different restaurant. My over easy eggs were cooked hard, the toast was cold and covered in butter, potatoes were cold and were lacking flavor and the bacon was over cooked. It also took 40 minutes for the food to come out after we ordered. If this was my first visit it would have been my last. I'm going to give them another try but this was a real bad visit. read more

Amazing!!! This restaurant is exactly the kind of energy and quality Daytona needs right now. We are from Charleston, SC and this restaurant made us feel right at home. We ordered cocktails and freshly pressed juices to drink and they arrived quickly, and were so delicious. OK, maybe it is because they have only been open for 2 months but I was not impressed. The servers appeared like they were really stressed out and disorganized. The server that helped me did not know the menu and took a while to write down my order. The menu was a little California-ish with ingredients I did not want experiment with, and I don't know if the place wants to be a breakfast place, lunch place or early dinner place because they serve beer and alcohol. I ordered the roast beef and Havarti sandwich and expected it to be well...impressive at $12.00 and no side. It came pressed between 2 slices of white bread (Texas toast) with grilled onions. I had to take 2 bites on the edges just to get to the meat. Oh yeah, it is served with a side of dry greens. The manager that was there obviously did not want to be there. He stood at the kitchen door and watched the female servers and the diners with an empty glass, which he showed no motivation to fill. I also ordered a side of tomatoes basis soup with saltine crackers (where were the croutons?). Unimpressed again. Thick, unsalted and blah. Upon paying my $20.00 tab for a sandwich, soup, and tea, the manager was at the cash register to take my card. Never even asked "everything ok sir, how was your lunch?" He was busy carrying on a conversation with manager number 2. Not a thank you, come again........guess what? I won't be coming again. Have eaten at numerous First Watch restaurants, especially in Arizona for decades...always a great relaxing, delicious and quiet breakfast & lunch expert.. This one in Daytona is SOOOOOOO NOISY, one can barely hear the person across the table speaking.. Who is designing thsese noisy new restaurants, must be a DEAF person.. Service was quite sad, even had to go up after TWENTY MINUTES waiting for a non-buttered bun for my ordered Turkey Burger, right at where the kitchen is located.. Stop ruining burgers & sandwiches with unhealthy butter that makes the bun soggy... or ask people if they want the heart atrack food option..UGH!! Breakfast potatoes cost almost $3 for a small serving and were burnt with meager amount of onions and no peppers.. Turkey Burger was tasty, but of course cold trying to get me a decent HEALTHIER bun... Spouse had the open faced chicken salad and said it was just OK.. Not sure if we will be back, but definitely warning friends and family of how loud the place is inside... And soooo many hard seat benches & chairs that kill ones bottom sitting, another negative.. Too bad this location is so noisy and have heard that from others before we tried it out.. read more

I never got my food. My waitress disappeared and I ended up walking out 30 mins in with no food. I watched people come in and order after me who got their food and I asked someone and they said the kitchen was backed up which is fine but how long do you expect your customers to wait without telling them it's a delay? Annoying since the wait staff seem to congregate by our table to talk. Also I was sitting less than 8ft from the Manager who was standing watching the floor. This place would so well to realize not everyone in Daytona is a tourist and a delay like that at lunch with no explanation is unacceptable. read more

The nasty lady at the front had the nerve to tell me to wait while she was ringing up customers to sit down. Keep in mind the line was long and plenty of seats. Me and my boyfriends first time ever eating here and we were very pleased with the food but more so by the customer service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and only waited about 8 min to be seated and we got to sit outside like we asked. After we were finished with our food our waitress seemed a little busy inside so we walked in to pay for our food and the man at the front said it was covered because we didn't get our check in a timely fashion. I love this place, very modern and eggcellent food. It's a bit pricy compared to an IHOP or Waffle House but what you get is always worth it, and I've never had a bad meal here. I have tried this place out twice now. Both times horrible service with incredible wait times. The food wasn't half bad however my date has celiac which was brought to our waitresses attention before the meal. After the meal my date spent the rest of the day throwing up because gluten had somehow ended up in her system. Very disappointed both times now with the service. read more

The food was not worth the high price and the staff was not as friendly as you would expect. They act a bit snobby, and for 4 people it cost us around $75 for breakast. The "Million Dollar Bacon" falls short about a million ways, overcooked and soaked in honey, barely edible. If you are a rich snob who doesn't care about money, this is the place for you. read more

She then brought out our drinks with NO straws, so I had to wave down another staff member for a straw. Got my food and the eggs looked like the were leftovers from someone else's plate. The eggs Benedict was on top of the hardest bread ever with the worst cooked bacon. Needless to say I was very disappointed and disgusted. The person checking me out could see I was disappointed and asked what was wrong and I told him. He obviously didn't care so I paid for my full meal even though I didn't even eat it. I do not recommend this place and I won't be back. I'd rather drive to Palm Coast for Metro Diner. read more

We have been to First Watch before in Tampa. Expected a little bit of wait being a Sunday. However after checking in, we watched as tables were slow to be turned and than sat empty for over 5 minutes waiting for the next guest. The complementary coffee was never refilled. We went to First Watch for our first time this morning and it didn't disappoint. Hubby loved the coffee and I enjoyed the juice bar. He got the special and I got the salmon Benedict. I didn't tell my waitress I prefer my eggs well done and when I asked for the eggs to be cooked it was evident that they made a new dish (I expected them to pop it in the microwave for a minute or two). The manager came by the table and wanted to make up for my mistake! I wish I could remember our waitress's name - she was delightful and had a lot of hustle going on (a very good trait in a waitress!). This will become our new go-to breakfast spot, especially since we saw they had a dog-friendly seating area outside. read more
