We wanted to eat like a king and queen tonight and that's EXACTLY what we did. Our server, Lynn, was EXCELLENT (please make sure she is acknowledged for her great customer service and up charging). We started off with not one but TWO appetizers. The alligator bites and coconut lobster bites. My favorite of all the beach bar/restaurants in the area. I usually come here once a month but more during the spring and summer months and sit outside at the bar. We almost always get the same thing so I can't speak to many of the menu items. Their peal and eat shrimp are Royal Reds and are my favorite. Compared to many of the other local restaurants that serve frozen cheap shrimp imported from Asia which is insane considering we are on the coast. My favorite entree item is the grouper tacos but blackened (come as battered and fried I believe. Service is usually great but there have been times where there were bar staffing issues leaving the outside bar to serve there and the restaurant but they usually can overcome. Other items I recommend include the fish dip app, Bairdi crab, mac n cheese as well as the cheese grits sides. read more

The perfect location right on Daytona Beach. We sat at a high top table by the bar and out of the sun. Joe was our server and he was great.. I will say the young girls who greet and take you to a table need a bit of polishing.. and patience. The calamari was some of the best we ever had but the conch fritters left a lot to be desired. Still my favorite stop on the route heading north; no matter what you find it's always a treasure to head to a guaranteed place where the food hits and view is calm. I appreciate the honesty of the staff sharing that they have no control of the parking that is strictly enforced; you'll notice the two yellow building that are neighbors offer the pay by meter parking for visitors. If you don't and the yellow vested patrol observe your beach walk from the location, they will tow. (Just sharing the procedure). Things that stand out, it's so clean here! They got this cute lawn area to let kids run around and little tables for outside sitting. During the summer I also noticed they have live music playing at 5pm with a variety of musicians too. To my surprise, when I opened the menu, it said that the chowder was homemade. I decided not to order it. I'm quite the "clam chowder snob." My girlfriend did order it and said it was good. She also had a salad and said it was tasty. My other friend ordered chicken fingers, (Lol) and loved them. I had fish & chips along with a side of coleslaw. The breading on the fish was PERFECTION! I love a thin crunchy breading on my fried food. This was perfect, but could have of had more flavor. Salt?? Coleslaw was creamy and had a great combo of sweet vs tart. Fries were fries! Although the drink menu was extensive, I normally find these crazy cocktails to have very little alcohol and lots of sweet syrups. I opted for an old-fashioned. Pretty darn good. My friend did partake in one of the "bucket size" drinks and she enjoyed it. This is a great restaurant if you want to hang out on the patio and enjoy the amazing ocean views. Unfortunately, our enjoyment was cut short when we had someone sit next to us that had poured an entire bottle of stinky perfume all over her body. That ran us out of the place pretty quickly. We didn't even finish our meal, sadly. Yes, it was beyond obnoxious, even sitting outside. This definitely was not the restaurant's fault. We waited about 20 minutes for a table as we wanted to sit outside. And it was worth the wait. We were seated right by the beach. Incredible views and sounds of the ocean. Exactly what we wanted. Best seats in the house. We sat for some time watching people around us have their orders taken. Someone finally came over and asked if our server had been by and we said no. She apologized and said she will make sure she knows we are here and can she take our drink order before she comes over. We also placed app ordered. She brought our drinks back shortly after but we still waited some more time for our server to come take our dinner order. The hush puppies were cooked perfect but lacked flavor. The kids enjoyed them though. The crab/spinach dip was good for spinach dip but lacked on the crab. Children's portions are huge for the price. The boys enjoyed them and their frozen banana drink. My sister hot the crab cake dinner and enjoyed it. My mom and I ordered the stuffed flounder we both enjoyed it as well. That put the worst taste in my mouth- and really set the tone for the night- I get it we all have bad days but take a break and come back when you're ready. (Tall blonde with cowboy boots). Moving on- they were out of 2 things we wanted- crab cakes, stuffed flounder. Which was a bummer. We ended up with the Cajun chicken pasta and added shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, onion rings, side of Mac and cheese, and coconut lobster bites. The Cajun chicken pasta was actually really good- portion was huge! The Mac and cheese despite how small the side was- was really good too! I was pleasantly surprised! Onion rings were good- fresh and lightly breaded, and the coconut lobster bites were some of my fav! It came with some sweet/tartar sauce- it was a different flavor but went well with the bites. Initially I ordered the stuffed mushrooms but they lacked in flavor and our waitress Ireland was so sweet to offer us something else- which we got those lobster bites. Our waitress was really sweet- the ambiance outside was also nice being Oceanside. I would have rated this place 1 star- after the initial interaction with the hostess and being out of the two dishes we wanted; but Ireland saved the day along with a few other good options on the menu. read more

Drove to Daytona for an early dinner with a view. Dining al fresco at its best with the Atlantic Ocean just steps away from where we sat. Even though it was cloudy, the views of the ocean waves were so beautiful!! Our waiter was so friendly and felt so comfortable with us that he sat in our table to explain the menu and took our order. A first for us but we did not mind. I have to say that this was the first and only restaurant to date that really cooked shrimp to perfection; however, the oysters were overcooked.
