Lucky we were able to get a spot last month during the 4th of July as there is quite a bit of a wait for over 15 minutes. The seafood platter which included crab cakes, special oysters with cheese and sides was delicious. The Cruzan Rum house drink with cherry on top was excellent. Bonus tip: You can refill it with the cup on each visit for only $8 bucks. Shoutout to the staff for being so accomodating as it really was a busy time as customers were all securing a spot before the fireworks began. 4 1/2 Stars easy!!! Crabby's - We Kept Coming Back! Crabby's was one of those places we enjoyed so much that we went back several times during our stay in Daytona Beach. There is plenty of seating, and you can choose exactly the atmosphere you want--inside in the air conditioning, at the outdoor bar, or outside in the dining area. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and really knows the menu. They were happy to accommodate requests, the espresso martinis were excellent, the beer was ice cold, and the service was consistently great. And the food! Everything we tried was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and so tasty. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Even the lobby is fun to browse, with probably 20 different T-shirts to choose from, all reasonably priced, along with coffee mugs and other souvenirs. Overall, just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I can't wait until we come back to Daytona Beach because Crabby's will absolutely be on our list again! read more

This place was absolutely amazing! I'm not really much of a fish person, but the food here was so good. Honestly, probably some of the best seafood I've ever had. I'm from Arizona, so we don't exactly have the best seafood over there lol, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Our server was amazing too! She answered all of our questions, was super patient, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place and would 100% come back. First time ever trying a lobster roll and I'm glad it was here. Sat at the bar alone so service was fast. Other than taking my order, bartenders didn't interact with me since I wasn't drinking. We have historically come to Crabby's every year while on vacation. In the past it has been one of the dining highlights of our trips. The Old Bay seasoning on the crab is excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the view of the beach from the deck is something you can't get at most other restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This year, though, our experience at Crabby's was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time- anywhere. The biggest takeaway is this: if your meal starts going off the rails, don't assume it will get better by being patient and polite. Ours certainly didn't. Our table of seven was there for over two hours, and the problems just kept piling up. A guest was enthusiastically told they could substitute grouper in a combo meal, only to be told later that they couldn't. Another guest ordered the lobster, only to be told later that the restaurant was all out. That would've been OK- restaurants often run out of fresh seafood, it happens. But watching other tables get lobster afterward was off-putting. If that was all that happened, I'd say we were living charmed lives. But the hits kept on coming... Two different guests' cocktails tasted like they contained no alcohol whatsoever. One of those two had to send their drink back twice and eventually just ordered something else entirely. Stick to bottled beer, folks. One guest never received their salad, another received the wrong side, and one of the children's meals didn't arrive until the adults were already well into their meals. Isn't it common knowledge in the restaurant world that you always serve the kids first? One guest told the server that onions make them sick and specifically asked the server to "treat it as an allergy." Despite that, onions appeared *three* times: on their salad, on their first steak, and then again on the replacement steak. That's the kind of mistake that should never happen. If you have a serious allergy, I wouldn't trust Crabby's to honour your allergy request. One guest ordered a medium rare filet, but it arrived well done. They sent it back, and the replacement steak also came out well done. The expediter insisted that the guest cut into the second steak immediately. Ok, that's not unusual. But his tone wasn't "we want to make sure we got it right." It was "I don't trust you not to eat half of it before sending it back again." I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to treat your guest like that. A restaurant is a *hospitality* business, not a *hostility* business. The pièce de résistance was what happened next: the server, Dan, made a special trip to the table to tell the guest, "We probed that steak, and it registered medium." Apparently arguing with the guest was a better solution than acknowledging the obvious problem. If the overcooked steak had been the only issue with the meal, that comment would have been unwelcome. But after the litany of problems, it was downright insulting. That, and the fact that a manager never visited our table to apologise or try to make things right. Not once. Every restaurant has an off night. It's just part of the business. And most restaurants could have recovered from these issues with a better service mindset and proactive management intervention. Our experience wasn't ruined by a bad drink or a bad steak. It was ruined by a comprehensive failure to recover from one mistake after another, capped off with a direct insult. Crabby's entire staff effectively told us to f*** off and never come back. We'll do just that. read more

We wanted to eat like a king and queen tonight and that's EXACTLY what we did. Our server, Lynn, was EXCELLENT (please make sure she is acknowledged for her great customer service and up charging). Now let me tell you something important -- we have a tradition of trying calamari everywhere we go. We've lived in Florida for 7 years... and this was hands down the BEST calamari I've had in those 7 years. Crispy, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Terrible experience. Came tonight and got lucky with bar seating. I truly don't know how or why this place has an 1hr + wait. Sat at outside bar. 4-5 bartenders working. Took 10 mins to be acknowledged by any of them and order a drink. I got the chubby mermaid and it was awful. We finally get the menu and aren't expecting anything over the top, we got the fish and chips and the coconut shrimp entrees. The fish and chips (husbands order) was inedible and he tried one bite and pushed it away. The fish was falling out of the batter and mushy. Ketchup on bar was rotten and foul tasting. Coconut shrimp was okay, but it came with a side salad that I watch sit at the bar for 30 minutes and the bartender tried to serve it to me at the very end when I asked for the check. I couldn't get their attention to let them know the fish and chips was disgusting or order another drinks. Went Nextdoor to land shark and had much better service. Will not come back. My favorite of all the beach bar/restaurants in the area. I usually come here once a month but more during the spring and summer months and sit outside at the bar. We almost always get the same thing so I can't speak to many of the menu items. Their peal and eat shrimp are Royal Reds and are my favorite. Compared to many of the other local restaurants that serve frozen cheap shrimp imported from Asia which is insane considering we are on the coast. My favorite entree item is the grouper tacos but blackened (come as battered and fried I believe. Service is usually great but there have been times where there were bar staffing issues leaving the outside bar to serve there and the restaurant but they usually can overcome. Other items I recommend include the fish dip app, Bairdi crab, mac n cheese as well as the cheese grits sides. read more

I will say the young girls who greet and take you to a table need a bit of polishing.. and patience. The calamari was some of the best we ever had but the conch fritters left a lot to be desired.
