On Friday , during bike week we stopped by the tavern for a quick lunch. My friend had a chicken wrap and I settle on a Caesar salad with chicken. Our bartender/waiter, was quick with our service and food order; I must say that was probably the best Caesar salad I've eaten in quite a while. Their dressing was outstanding! My friend John said his wrap was great too! To drink, I opted for a Bailey's with Coffee and my Buddy had a dark lager beer. The beverages, certainly hit the spot! The restaurant is clean, spacious and the lighting is decent; for a sports bar /pub. Prices were outstanding considering we were in Daytona during Bike week! I will definitely come back to the MCKs tavern. read more

Love to go here before a Tortugas baseball game. It's across the river in the downtown strip. There is outdoor and indoor seating as well as a large bar area. We like to sit outside as there is normally a slight breeze and there are ceiling fans. There is a daily happy hour with drink specials. The spinach dip is very good and creamy although the homemade chips were overcooked. The wings are really good and the tater tots were perfectly crispy. Our servers have always been super! When we started planning our day trip to Daytona Beach we did not think that we would stumble on such a gem. Now don't let the fact that my name starts with MCK affect my score. Albeit a factor to initially picking this Irish style pub. We had read a few things about the mac and cheese egg rolls and we had to give them a try, and boy were we glad we chose them!! If you're a fan of mac and cheese bites then these are a new but familiar twist for you to try. Outside of the food there is also a white selection of beers and even a couple of ciders available at the tavern. Including multiple beers that were brewed by McK's Tavern, we had to try something local... Upon asking about the ciders available I was told that there was a more traditional one and also an apple pie in a can of which I had to try. Safe to say I was not disappointed and really enjoyed the unique flavor of this cider. As someone who is from the UK I appreciated the decor and nostalgic options on the menu, with the additions of some American dishes too. read more

My wife and I love this Irish Pub. The service has always been great. The spring rolls are excellent but our favorite is the Rachel Sandwich, it's a Ruben except it has homemade coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. It gives the Ruben a whole new taste, a little sweetness and crunch from the coleslaw combine with the classic Ruben flavors. We spend a couple months in St Augustine every winter and ride our bikes down a few times just to get them. We will definitely be back read more

We took some out of town guests to McK's on the 4th of July. Service was great, our meals as well. Our server made some great recommendations as we ordered drinks. And again when we ordered our entries. We shared a pretzel for an appetizer. Warm with a soft interior. We ordered fish and chips, Fiesta Chicken Salad, and our friends shared a Boom Burger. The fish and chips were perfectly battered and fried. The salad was so large half of it came home in a carry out box. The Boom Burger is definitely large enough to be shared! Have eaten and drank here several times, first review. We were so hungry waiting for food truck event to open, we came here for drinks and apps. We ended up here accidentally, when our first choice was only taking reservations. This was a pleasant surprise. Great beer selection. When I asked for an opinion on two IPAs, server quickly offered two samples. I opted for the Bay Cannon. We had a hamburger and fries, Mac and cheese egg rolls, chicken tenders, and strip steak with salad and broccoli. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only reason for the four stars is the acoustics. It's loud and sometimes hard to hear each other. They do have outside seating, but it was raining so that wasn't an option. I got the Buffalo chicken flatbread. It was delicious and well cooked. It was so big I could only eat half. This is your standard Irish pub. My husband and I have been there twice both times we enjoyed our food. I believe the last time we tried the Reuben and it was great. My husband has also eaten fish and chips there and thoroughly enjoyed them. There is more on their menu than just Irish fare but since it's an Irish pub, we will continue to order Irish dishes whenever we go there.
