Kylie was our server and was as attentive as she could be, she was serving tables inside and out and us at the bar. We ordered the pizza and it was ok at best. We had to ask for napkins and silverware that should have given before the food arrived. Also we were not asked if we wanted condiments, which in our opinion would have helped the pizza taste, it was bland. There was a second server, bartender working, not sure her name but she did nothing to make our experience better. We asked her for napkins and she said I'll have to get her (Kylie) to get them as her hands were wet. All she did was stand in the corner of the bar talking to two other patrons who she obviously knew and for almost the entire time we were there. She took care of their requests and whined about what she was going to eat. Very unprofessional. At one point I had to go inside and ask Kylie to get my wife a second beer because she had been empty for 15 minutes or more, all while the second bartender stood and talked. At that point there were only 4 patrons at the bar, us and the two she was talking to. We have been here many times in the past for lunch and this was our worst experience all around. Please get all of your staff in check to serve if that's what their job consists of. We don't blame Kylie, she did the best she could. read more

I so enjoyed hanging out here on a sunny Sunday watching football. The crowd was great,, bartender excellent and food even better. It also helped that there is a squirrel that hangs out there (aka iceman) who comes right up to you for some food. Haha that totally was the highlight of my afternoon for sure!!! read more

This wasa restaurant that is attached to Volusia top gun shooting range. Full bar and restaurant. You can get a drink and burger and watch people on the range and watch them shooting. Candyce and I started off with a couple beers. They actually Have a rule where you have been drinking, you can't go shooting. Candyce had the BBQ cheddar cheese burger with onion straws. Side was sweet potato tots I had a bacon Bleu cheese burger with onion rings. Pretty good service. They even had a band playing on the patio part of the restaurant. I am certainly known for enjoying a good burger and I'll tell you that the double barrel grill certainly not disappoint me. I got the black and blue burger with the onion rings and the balsamic glazed onion petals. It was absolutely fantastic and I would definitely put it up with other burgers of the area. Plenty of seating either at the bar or at a table depending upon your legal restrictions. Service is very quick and efficient and with a smile. Checked back regularly to make sure that I was okay. I should have taken a picture or two. We'll definitely be back for an evening meal at the outdoor bar and possibly take a few turns at some of the table games. read more

Oy, where to begin. The physical changes that were made are awesome! The outside bar is and TVs to watch are a great addition. However, if you are there for drinks "spirits" other than beer or wine, please beware! Ordered a cosmo martini and it was terrible, most martini's are "strong", this was weak. So ordered a shot on the side... and I swore this was mostly water! I let my friend taste it and she agreed that something was "off" , as it wasn't just Titos. So we both switched over to wine and beer. We were hoping there was no way you could water that down if you order it from the bottle! Food wise, it was ok. Maybe we went on an "off day"...but it was a Sunday afternoon! We are locals, so we will be back, but rest assured we will not be ordering any mixed drinks. read more

Although we frequent Volusia Top Gun this was our first time experiencing the Double Barrel Grill inside this gun store / shooting range. We grabbed a few seats at the bar since we were here shopping and not planning to spend anytime at the shooting range. This is a full bar restaurant so if you plan on having a few cocktails prior to firing your weapon beware they ID everyone if you're ordering alcohol don't be flattered it's a means of tracking who's been drinking and you won't be drinking and shoot thankfully. So have fun on the range than enjoy the full bar while try out some of their delicious offerings. We spilt an order of calamari and a French dip and fries - everything was great. The calamari was tender and fried perfectly it is tossed with fried peppers giving it a hint of spiciness. Our sandwich came on a very fresh soft grilled roll, the beef was full of flavor and very tender covered with melted provolone served with a great au jus and hand cut fries although I would of preferred thinner cut fries these were pretty good. The service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. We definitely will stop in again. read more

Giving this place 5 stars simply because of the service. The food I would give 3/5. We went shooting yesterday 6/5 and decided to eat after. The range and store were packed as expected with the weather and everyone had been stuck in their houses for months. We were one of the first tables to get seated. We had the fried bologna sliders, buffalo chicken pizza, and a burger. The sliders were awesome... the pizza and burger were just ok. Nothing amazing, burger was a little dry. But... it started getting busier... the poor waitress was the ONLY one working the bar and tables! But I was highly impressed with her skills! Our drinks were never empty, our food did take a while but I'm sure the kitchen was understaffed too and behind. So no big deal. She greeted everyone coming in and communicated the wait, while still attending to at least 13 tables and 6 people at the bar. I wish I would have gotten her name... but I hope the owner or manager reads this because this girl deserves a raise!! She was busting her butt to keep everyone happy!!! We found this great restaurant in January and we come several times a month. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The servers are friendly and attentive and it's a neat atmosphere. We usually sit next to the firing range (it's in a gun store/indoor firing range: Top Gun) and look at the people shooting or the big screen TV's. We've tasted all sorts of food and we enjoyed all of it. Over the past 5 months, we've eaten calamari (amazing!), buffalo shrimp (delicious) and those are just the appetizers! DH has eaten burgers, Philly cheesesteak, fish tacos, grilled chicken sandwich, and the list goes on! I've eaten their shrimp platter (broiled and fried). Their onion rings are delicious! I'm surprised that more people haven't left more reviews! We'll continue to enjoy the restaurant and continue to return! read more

On Saturday I ordered a Greek salad to go and added shrimp. When I got home I put the salad in the refrigerator. A few hours later I was going to eat my salad and saw there was no shrimp. I called the restaurant 3 times in a 30 minute time span and no one answered the phone. I was given the option to leave a message, which I did. I still have not had a return call and it's Monday. Great little find when driving down the highway. We were hungry for burgers, but didn't want to stop at your typical Applebee's or Chili's type place. A roadside billboard pulled us in to this place, but we were confused because this was a shooting range. After double checking several times, we boldly went in and in fact, this was a shooting ranging and gun store.... BUT we discovered a truly unique Bar & Grill inside. Not a huge place, but plenty of of seats for the amount of customers inside. The Double Barrel Grill provided a big window that overlooked the gun range with active shooting at the gun range. I ordered a burger, and it was one of the tastiness, freshest burgers I have ever had. I was very surprised and the quality of the other items were equally as great. Worst experience I've ever had. The server took 12 min to even acknowledge us. Then everything from there on was the same pace. She took forever to do everything. Food wasn't that great. She double charged for a Stella which took her 8 min to get voided off and run our cards. Great concept though having a restaurant in a gun range. I have eaten here 3 times but tonight's experience was awful. There was a drink special and we ordered it. The drink was not what was advertised. The waitress could not tell us what it was. We then ordered our food, also from a special menu. We ordered brisket tacos. After waiting 45 minutes, the server brought our checks before our food. The food finally came and we received pork tacos. We had already talked to the owner twice but he never came to our table. When he finally did, he argued with us about the drinks and the food. A group of us came into the restaurant after we went shooting and none of us were impressed with the food or service. Of the 4 of us who ordered onion rings, only one of the orders was still warm, the other 3 orders were cold to the point where none of us cold eat them. My burger was only slightly warmer then my onion rings and my friends burger was way over cooked. And to top it all off none of us are feeling all that great after eating there. I'll return to the shooting range there but I'll go eat at burger King before I ever eat at double barrel again. read more
