The restaurant has indoor seating with A/C and outside seating including a bar and grill area. Even a little gift shop inside. The views are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. It's a pretty large property in case you have a large group. The service was ok and the food was even better. We started off with the "Hatch Calamari' which came with an interesting sweet Thai chili sauce. I've never had it with black olives and pepperoncinis. It was also much thicker than I'm used to, but it worked. The calamari were excellent. Thin batter with the calamari perfectly fried and not gummy. I highly recommend them! I had the "fried shrimp basket" which was ok. It's your standard semi-soggy fries (even after asking them fried crispy) and the jumbo shrimps were just ok, they were a bit too hard. My wife had the "She Crab Soup" which might have been the star of the show. Looks are deceiving because it surely tastes better than it looks. It's a light brown color and really thick consistency but tasted great! The taste sneaks up on you. Seasoned perfectly and I would definitely recommend it. Billy's changed ownership and the restaurant was closed for quite some time while renovations were being done. We had had dinner many times in the old Billy's and always had great meals. We finally had the opportunity to try the new Billy's and we weren't disappointed. Service was nothing short of excellent and we were happy to see the new Billy's retained the historic look and feel of the pld Billy's. We had the Beet Salad, Grilled Porterhouse Pork Chop, Crab Chowder, Fried Shrimp, Cavatappi Wellington Pasta and BTR Chicken Marsala. All of our selections were excellent. My Grilled Pork Chop was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The crab chowder was excellent and will be ordered again on our next visit. For dessert we shared the Bomba Gelato which was great. The new owner just happened to stop at our table to chat. He mentioned plans to bring back the Prime Rib shortly which we had a few times in the old Billy's. Can't wait to go back to have the new Billy's Prime Rib. We wish the new Billy's much success and now between Billy's and Alexander's there's really no reason to leave Ormond for extra special dining.

We waited about 5 minutes after being given menus before a "server" came over. This man seemed to think we were there for entertainment. Everything that came out of his mouth was loud and somewhat irritating. He wouldn't stop with the poor humor and refused it seemed to just act professionally. Placing our order was uncomfortable. We ordered a burger and salad for my wife and 12 wings for myself. When ordering, the server kept saying "AND" after we would state what we wanted. He was trying to push us to order more? He continued to a point that we almost got up and walked out. What he failed to realize was that we were out for a simple and quiet late afternoon meal, not a Gong Show audition by him. Almost 35 minutes passed. Yes, 35 minutes. The server stopped by and believe it or not, grabbed the table side ordering device and had to check to see if HE actually put in the order. He left and returned about 5 minutes later with the order. The wings were inedible. The first thing I noticed is they were dried out. Not even warm on the outside yet somewhat steamy on the inside. The sauce was dried out on most of them. And then came the taste test. Have you ever eaten wings that were old? The wings were so salty I almost spit them out. I held back due to being in a public area. The worst. Salt beyond understanding. I tried a second and the same thing. I had my wife try part of another and she gagged. My wife's burger was tasteless. It fell apart, all 1/4 inch thickness. Nothing better than a low end Walmart frozen patty. When I attempted to get the server to raise the issue, he was too busy socializing and cracking jokes with a table a few feet away. He and another server were telling all sorts of stories with people at the table. It took us around 7 minutes to finally flag down a bus boy to go get his attention. When the server came over, he addressed me initially as though I was making a mistake, almost questioning my concern. He asked to replace the wings and I said no. What was served was awful. The items weren't prepared with the wrong sauce or undercooked, these were "off". It took the server over 10 more minutes to remove the item from our bill. As we were moving out of the booth to leave, the manager came over and couldn't care any less. She made a non-serious gesture by asking if there was something she could order for us, AS WE WERE LEAVING. She demonstrated no concern, no apology, no empathy etc. She never came over to even ask for our input from the original issue. She didn't care, plain and simple. She dismissed us as though she was wasting her time even talking to us. I have a gift card balance of around $14 that will forever go unspent. I'm not sure what happened to this place but it's a complete mess when it comes to food and professionaiism.
