SoNapa has become our Christmas Eve destination for the last couple of years. It is always a special treat and continues to be. Sean, our server, met every detail with precision delivering delicious meals. The fettuccine made in house is extraordinary and a favorite. The pork chop and grilled chicken was well prepared. The lime martini and old fashioned matched well with our entree selections. And of course Christmas Eve dinner would not be complete without a decadent chocolate mousse cake. Reservations made it easy but the staff kept on task with seating and clearing tables without missing a beat. The inside is so what you'd expect when going out to eat at a nice restaurant- inviting, lots of chatter amongst the tables and waiters/waitresses who know the menu and ready to help you make up your mind! lol! Had the Filet with riostto. It was good. Probably wouldn't order it again but loved the blue cheese risotto. I prefer the chicken marsala better. We saw our tables after we ate but we didn't get bread. Would have loved to have some. Service was much better the last time we went here. We felt rush and they didn't go over the specials us. So good! I feel that I'm pretty hard to impress with food but I was very happy with my dinner. I had the carbonara with the scallop and shrimp add on and it was 10/10! This was the first time here and decided to stop by because of the good Yelp reviews. The food and service was very good. We were there during happy hour and ordered the smoked tuna crostinis which were excellent. I got the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side which I was glad I did because it had a strong fishy anchovy taste. The lettuce was crisp with shaved Parmesan cheese that I enjoyed. I also got the Alexander/margarita flatbread which was very good. My husband had the smash burger which he thought was good but not excellent due to the pickled onions that were on the burger ( he's a plain white onion caramelized kind of person). It had a very nice bar, covered outside patio area, nice inside area with a private sitting area if you had a large group/party. I will definitely be back. We went here with my mom and friends for dinner as we were in town to visit. We had heard great things about the menu especially with the gluten-free options. Overall, it was disappointing with the cuisine, while the service was solid and accommodating. The interior showcases a Mediterranean rustic ambience that radiates a couple of restaurants located in Napa Valley that I have frequented when over there. Warm and inviting, SoNapa does generate good vibes in that regard. Our server was friendly who knew which items on the menu were gluten free or could be made gluten free without cross contamination, which my wife was appreciative. She came by frequently enough in between taking our food orders and ensuring we had our food to make sure we had refills on water and cocktails. I enjoyed the Doctor's Orders cocktail that was gin-based and very refreshing served with lime and a cucumber garnish. Food-wise, we ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops and edamame pot stickers for appetizers. The former were tasty but a little overcooked based on the chewiness and the shrunken size. For what you order, I felt the portion size should have been larger, not good for sharing. The pot stickers were very tasty on the other hand. I ordered the carbonara with grilled chicken for my main dish. While the chicken was juicy and fresh, the noodles and cream sauce seemed more like you had egg noodles and butter that you make on the fly, with little indication taste or appearance wise that it was carbonara. You didn't get any indication from the taste that there were any prosciutto or other ingredients used that you find traditionally in the dress. I tried some of the meatloaf that my mom ordered and found that underwhelming with the sauce providing minimal taste to complement the meat blend. My wife ordered the pork chop that was very good with the mustard rub used, very flavorful. My aunt ordered the donut cake bread pudding that was quite decadent, not too sweet but definitely served for shared servings, I wouldn't recommend ordering it just for yourself unless you want to be wheel-barreled out of the restaurant in a food coma. While the service good and the ambiance was warm and inviting, I thought the menu was disappointing based on what I ordered and tried. For an establishment that seems to focus on having cuisine that you would find in Napa and Sonoma Valley restaurants, I felt that it currently misses the mark. read more

Been here several times and it's always good. The service last night was very slow and our waiter was not the best. That along with the fact that they don't give you bread or anything (for free) despite the moderate pricing brought this review to a 4 vs. 5 star. We decided to order the Asiago bread appetizer since they don't provide bread and it was fair. I'm not a fan of asiago and would have preferred just plain bread with butter. If they aren't going to provide that for free then they should have a $5 plain bread and butter option. Onto the good: the key lime martini, which I've had previously, was excellent. My husband and son got the lamb chops dinner special which they both loved. I got the Thai coconut curry mixed grill which was so tasty and good. My son ordered the special soup of the day "cream of crab" but the waiter came back and said they were out of it. Disappointing and it was only 6:45 in the evening. He got the lobster bisque instead and liked it. Overall a good meal despite the fair- service. read more

Had a drink and appetizer at SoNapa, in Ormond Beach, tonight. Molly was the bartender, tonight. we ate, at the bar. She provided excellent service, she was personal and accommodating. I had martini and a house salad, both were excellent. I ordered the lollipop lamb chops, off the appetizer menu. The first ones that came out, were a little undercooked. So Molly wished them away, and the manager came out, and assured me, they would bring me, another order. Joe, the expeditor brought me, another ordered, that was excellent! SoNapa is my favorite restaurant in all of the Daytona metro area and every time I visit, I have to scold myself for not coming more often. The happy hour is amazing but you need to get here early. I haven't had one thing on the menu that is even mediocre, everything is great. We celebrate a birthday today and everything and everyone was amazing from start to finish. A special shoutout to Sarah for taking great care of us and going above and beyond. We spoke with Jason twice (2nd time was to tell him in person how happy we were with the experience.) I also want to compliment the wonderful bartenders and the greeters and everyone else. I went to dinner with 3 friends last night and just had the most wonderful dinner. We all got something different and everything was absolutely delicious. The menu is very eclectic and creative. So many choices it was hard to decide. We wanted to order everything. Meatloaf was a very sophisticated version of an American favorite. Flat Breads were so good! We also had a custom Caesar Salad seared Ahi! Wow the portion was amazing. We finished our meal with the Key Lime martini. Such a delicious cocktail. Tasted just like a Key Lime Pie. The restaurant was lively on a Saturday might but not loud. Our server was outstanding, Her name was Ry. The other thing that we loved was the great Wine list. We shared a bottle of Caymus. First, the service was excellent! A very well trained staff served us an amazing meal. Great clean decor greets you and sets the mood. Cocktails were delicious with a generous pour. Asiago bread appetizer melted in your mouth and the pesto/herb butter/oil & balsamic were very well presented and delicious. The Korean spareribs with shoestring fries fell off the bone and the sauce hit you with a great flavor and tang. While the price is steep the Wagyu beef entree was worth every penny! We just walked in not really knowing anything about this spot aside from Yelp reviews. The food was excellent! My husband had the special triple tail with he loved; I had the mushroom ravioli with short rib and it was flavorful and delicious; my daughters had the cavatappi with bison bolognese and the Central Valley flatbread. Both were excellent. Only note on the flatbreads are they are very small, more of an appetizer than a meal. The desserts were to die for - the bread pudding OMG. Unimpressed. Between the "Presidental Trump Burger" and the "MLK Mac n Cheese" the experience just got progressively worse. Our waitress blatantly ignored our attempts to get her attention several times. You could just tell she was in no mood to be at work last night. The food....was so flavorless. We had the goat cheese + prosciutto appetizer, and everything was smothered in hot honey which ruined the taste. I ordered the smashburger and fries. This was our first here and it was very late after 9:00 pm when we walked in. We sat at the bar, the bar tender was very busy chatting with the locals but another server didn't catch her name saw us come in & sit down and was quick to help us get in our order. They have a very nice wine list. The menu has a lot of steak options. I ordered the steak salad it was delicious. I really loved the dressing. My husband got the burger and he loved his food. The fries were great and I don't like fries. A very sweet lady next to us ordered the pork chop she was very happy with it. This is a very nice place. You can see the locals hang here at the bar. My best friend and I went here for dinner to celebrate our birthdays and it did not disappoint! I had the Berryessa cocktail, Ahi tuna entree, house salad and flourless chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely amazing. My friend had the Sonoma chicken entree, bread appetizer and a margarita. She says all her items were excellent too. Also because we were celebrating our birthdays, they gifted each of us with a bottle of their house seasoning! Only negatives were it was loud in there and it was pricey. $56 for mine and $42 for her, both before tip. I will say the serving size of ahi tuna was nice and I had enough to take home another meal. Let me begin by saying that every year while on vacation we have made it a point to eat at So Napa Grill. We always found the food, service, and ambiance to be elevated. This year we brought our daughter and son-in-law for the first time. Unfortunately our expectations did not match the reality on this visit. Food: On the positive side, my daughter and son-in-law enjoyed their meal but, I had requested my steak to be medium rare...somewhere along the way the medium part was lost. The steak was practically raw. My wife's dinner was on the cold side. Luckily our other family members were very pleased with their meals, so we didn't complain. Service: On past visits we were always highly impressed with the waitstaff and the attention to detail. They were friendly, efficient, and attentive. On this visit, we ordered an appetizer and before we had finished eating it the waitress brought our salads. No big deal except when we were done with the appetizer and salads, she didn't remove the empty plates until we asked. We also had to request water but she never returned to see if we needed refills. She did ask if we wanted more from the bar, but again walked away leaving empty dishes on the table. Some people would not be bothered by uneven service and, in some restaurants it might even be the norm. When I patronize a business that is upscale, with prices that reflect a higher level of service and food, I expect to have my expectations met. Based on our prior experience at So Napa, this visit was underwhelming. read more

They don't even offer to push two tables together, which they had room to do. Wouldn't recommend if this is their idea of service. The food is ok, but why pay their prices for crappy service.
