I was staying at a hotel in Ormond Beach just a few blocks from Stonewood Grill and Tavern. I found them on Yelp and headed their way for dinner. It was only a 6 minute walk. The weather was great so I sat outside on the patio. I was greeted within a few minutes by my server Luke. I told him I was torn between two menu items and he suggested the grilled salmon. I started with a New England clam chowder which was hot and packed with tender clams. I love when it's served with the oyster crackers! My entree included grilled salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I don't eat mashed potatoes very often but I'm glad I ordered these as well as the green beans. This was the perfect pair with the salmon. I also had a glass of house cabernet which was tasty and reasonably priced. Luke was very friendly and checked on me regularly. I had a lovely time joining friends for a Sunday afternoon late lunch! Upon entering, we were warmly greeted. The entrance was spacious and inviting. The day was cold and rainy (in January), but on a giant screen, in the lobby, there was a very beautiful live-motion video of a cozy, intimate, inviting space in a gorgeous winter chalet with a crackling fire in a fireplace. I loved that because it immediately took my mind off the inclement weather! We were seated and began to peruse the menu. There definitely was enough variety on this menu to satisfy the individual tastes of everyone in our party of four! Some of the dishes that were ordered included the crab stuffed salmon, bruschetta chicken, bourbon bacon jam burger, and chicken tenders with fries........ But the big hit was the dessert! The four of us shared the CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING! It's their signature dessert and "twist on the great classic cradled by a warm bourbon sauce and topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a housemade chocolate cookie crisp"! I was looking for a good steak without breaking the bank. A friend recommended Stonewood Grill and I'm so happy they did! I started with the french onion soup. It was massive, cheesy and delicious! It's a must-have. If I was local, I'd be a regular just for the soup. For my entree, I went with the bistro steak medallions. The cabernet demi-glace sold me. They were tender and the sauce was delicious. It was closer to the end of the night and my server was still wonderful! I highly recommend Stonewood! read more

We very much enjoyed our dinner on a Saturday night. We waited a few for a booth in the bar area as we arrived with no reservation. Our server promptly greeted us & got our drinks. We were in a burger mood so we each got a cheeseburger & fries (mine without the bun). They were very good as were the fries. Our only gripe is that the fry serving was very small. Stonewood Grill and Tavern never disappoints. I hadn't been here in about 3 years. My husband and I were visiting Daytona and he wanted a salad and I wanted a burger so we decided to stop in. It as very busy on a Saturday night. The hostess said that they had one booth available in the bar area; which was fine for us. The circular bar was quite packed and literally every seat was taken. We could also watch quite a few football games so it was perfect! Our server, Tom, came over almost immediately to get us started. They have a very extensive menu: apps, salads, burgers, and entrees with steak, pork, chicken and seafood. They also have a full bar with all kinds of specialty cocktails. I decided to sample a blueberry beer and was surprised that the "sample" was about 1/2 a glass! It was good, so that was I ordered. ($8.99) My husband had the Stonewood Salad which was $14. He said it was delicious and full of lettuce, tomatoes, sharp red opinions, cranberries, roasted walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles. I had the original cheeseburger, $15.50, and substituted for the pretzel bun for an extra $2, and added a side salad for $2.50. The side salad was a good sized portion full of lettuce, tomato; onions, and some really delicious croutons. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, plus the pretzel bun was a great choice and added to the deliciousness. I was only able to eat 1/2 of it. Overall we had a great meal with excellent service from Tom. Our food was ready quickly, and everything was as expected. This will definitely not be our last visit to Stonewood Grill and Tavern. read more

We had a nice experience here overall. It's a cute little place--we sat by the window while it rained, which made for a cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. We started with the spinach crab dip, which was delicious. The chips were a bit over-fried and darker than expected, but the dip itself made up for it. For dinner, we tried the chimichurri steak. The steak was cooked really well and had good texture, but the chimichurri sauce was underwhelming--lacking flavor and overly salty. Still, the overall meal was enjoyable. Tonight was our Anniversary and wanted to go to a nice restaurant that had outdoor seating. We wanted to try Stonewood Grill & Tavern. Well even though outdoor dining looked great, when we asked for outdoor seating we were told "no we don't have enough servers" so we got a table inside. Our server Adam was good. He took our drink order which was 2 house margaritas on the rocks with salt and 2 waters. Margaritas were great. Adam came back to take our dinner order, which was very easy for him, we both ordered the exact thing...Delmonico Steak med/rare with baked potato. Steaks were absolutely delicious, flavor was great and simply melted in your mouth. Baked potato was very tasty too came with butter and sour cream. We had a terrific dinner and Adam did a great job! FYI- Went there for outdoor dining (which I dressed for) A/C was a bit cold for me inside since I thought I would be eating outdoors. read more

We came here to enjoy a more formal type restaurant. We came with a large group and they sat us right away and got our drink orders and check on us right away to take our food orders. I probably should have ordered seafood, but the burger picture on the menu looked amazing and that was what I chose to order but unfortunately it was not good. I asked for it cooked medium rare but it came well done and one side was burned and the meat pattie was very small and the fries were not fresh. My friends ordered seafood and they said that their food tasted ok. The atmosphere was cozy and seating was comfortable. Parking was free and many spots to park. This restaurant experience was not what I was hoping it to be. With all the restaurant choices in the area and I wouldn't come back here. read more

My husband and I made a trip to Florida for a jeep rally, staying at the grand Floridian this restaurant was in walking distance so we gave it a try. The server was very nice ,appetizers came right out , dinner not so much the server kept coming by saying it would be right out and well. I had the clam chowder it was really good and just enough my husband had a hamburger that was supposed to be medium rare came out well he said it was still good . When we lived in Orlando we would often go to Stonewood. Where we live now there isn't one Imagine our surprise when there was an Ormond Beach location. A group of nine went. We had a wonderful time. Our waiter was "Chris" he was great, he was attentive, gave great recommendations, and answered any questions I had in regards to the menu. We started off with the bruschetta. It was fresh garlic bread, stacked with tomatoes, seasoning, cheese and balsamic dressing. I'm not sure if the balsamic dressing is homemade but it tasted HOMEMADE it's nothing like I've had in stores; I drenched my bread in it, it was so delicious! I had the Cedar Plank roasted salmon - it had apricot mustard, jalapeño glaze, sautéed green beans, and poblano rice $24.80. My guest had the Blackened grouper with baked potato and upgraded to the Mac and cheese (which Chris recommended). That Mac and cheese did not disappoint; it was packed with flavor and so cheesy! The grouper was well seasoned and the baked potato was good as well. The whole dish was a 10/10 for sure. $MarketPrice The Cedar Plank roasted salmon had a unique presentation on an actual cedar plank! The salmon was cooked to perfection, the glaze was sweet and salty, not to much jalapeño though. The green beans and rice were a good side, but next time Im opting the rice out of that yummy Mac and cheese! This meal was also a 10/10 I HIGHLY recommend. Carbs am I right? Very good experience with friends from Cincinnati and others. Both the A1A location and the LPGA locations are equally commendable as to quality of service and food. Wife had an issue with a tough, overcooked pork chop. They apologized, offered to replace it, and we needed to leave so no thanks. They totally removed a charge for that meal. A rare occurrence that they immediately addressed. Good business that we enjoy when in the area... we live 20+ miles away! read more

We dined with Stonewood on a Tuesday night after a long absence from this restaurant. I'd estimate it was about 20% full in the dining room and, maybe, 10% full in the bar. Service was very good and attentive. Food, not so much. Bruschetta appetizer was nicely done with an oil/vinegar dressing. Many times bruschetta is overly spiced. Stonewood did a good job with theirs. The tomatoes and herbs were fresh and delightful. We ordered soup and two entrees. The French Onion Soup was tasty but, unfortunately, only barely warm. If served hot, I expect it would have been excellent. The bow tie chicken pasta was well presented but didn't have much flavor. Pretty to look at, not so nice to eat. The second entree-- bone in Peach Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop--had an excellent glaze served over mashed potatoes. The pork chop was cooked medium, as ordered. The pork chop was tasty but very, very tough. If it was prepared to my order, I would have said it was a very old stock. Desert was key lime pie with a raspberry drizzle. It was excellent. Sadly, based on this experience, it will be another long period of time before we dine at this Stonewood again. read more

Had an amazing dinner here on 10/31/2025. Our server was great and made sure we were taken care of. All the food from appetizers to dessert were delicious as were the drinks. The restaurant wasn't too busy for Halloween but still had a great ambiance and atmosphere along with some decorations. I will definitely be going again to this or another location. read more

Sarah was a great waitress. Really attentive and informative. It was our first time in. We had cocktails- cosmo, old fashioned, a dirty goose and wine. All were spectacularly made and delicious. For dinner, two of us had surf and tied, one had the special crap crushed mahi mahi, another had filet mignon, and lastly the chicken salad Cesar.
