My family absolutely loves Hulls and stop almost every time we go to Ormond. The oysters are always on point as are all the dishes we've tried. One of these times I'm going to take something home from the tempting seafood market that we walk through on the way out.

Me and husband had a early dinner after church food was fresh and filling, waitress was friendly with a smile, restaurant was clean and airy, not crowded, love this visit and definitely recommend to all seafood lovers!!!

Hull's has lots of options to choose from. I was visiting from out of state and was rollicking forward to trying some local fish. I tried the featured fish-golden tile with some collard greens and coleslaw. The fish was mild and although I ordered it blackened, not spicy at all. The coleslaw had a varying taste-maybe a little sweeter- and included some green peppers. Entrees came with hush puppies too. Our waitress was friendly and service was quick on. Later Monday afternoon in early May. Parking is very tight and limited and if you can't find a spot you have to try and turn around or back out as there is only one entrance. I'd recommend parking elsewhere and walking.

We were seated quickly and chose to eat on the deck. It was decorated with fish and fishing decor. The waitress was quick to get our drink order but then it got busy it took a bit to get our food order. Prices are fair for fresh seafood! The meals were delicious. I'll be back!

This place was recommended by a friend who is from the area. So, parking is a little precarious as there is a small lot. They offer valet parking, but we just parked across the street and walked over. It was very loud which made me feel like I was shouting during conversations. The waitstaff was friendly. The food was good, but if you're getting your food blackened, take the waiter's advice and get light seasoning. There was SO much seasoning, you couldn't taste anything else. No one had any complaints about the food, but I can't say we'll make repeat trips on future visits. There are just other places we enjoy more. So give them a shot! They may be to your liking!

Ahi Tuna - a fun appetizer, but I probably would not order it again.

Definitely a fun experience! The restaurant feels more like a local spot than a huge tourist trap and it is just minutes away from the beach. I loved my drink a lot - I cannot seem to find it on the website, but I have uploaded a picture. The food was solid. I enjoyed my fish and chips, even though I wish the fish had been served to me warmer. The fish tacos were a little dry, but I guess that is to be expected with Mahi. I did try some of the seafood boil and that was highly recommended - I would get that if I went again!

My in-laws have brought me here twice already and both times the food was amazing. We ordered the gator bites and the pimento cheese wedges for appetizers and I ordered the blacktip shark dinner for my main dish. This was the first time I've eaten shark and I definitely would come here again for it. The provolone cheese wedges and gator bites were fried well and came out in a hearty serving. The service was attentive and friendly. The decor inside and outside was well thought out. I would recommend sitting outside if the weather isn't too hot. Overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone in the area.

This place never seems to disappoints and tonight was no different. The only bad thing about sitting inside is the noise level. Inside on the bar it's covered in fishing polls like you would be sitting in the back of a boat. Tonight the service was pretty good even though he brought the wrong drink and forgot to put in the correct seasoning for the shrimp. Other than that he was good. Now to the food. Went with the parents while they stay at the beach. Dad got the lobster roll and it was packed full and he said it tasted really good. Mom got the rock shrimp, she is not big on spice so asked for light on the blackening seasoning and they barely put anything on it. I got the crab cakes and they were tasty and pretty thick which was nice. And the hush puppies were delicious. I could have gotten an entire basket of those alone. Always a must when heading over to Ormond Beach

Had a good experience at the seafood restaurant. I was disappointed because I came for the blue crabs. They have a dozen on their menu for only $29.99, but unfortunately they were not in stock. But they did have everything else under the sea! The crab legs were outstanding... fresh and well seasoned. The sheepshead fish was fried to perfection. The blue crab soup was tasty and packed with crab meat. This is a very large restaurant with both indoor and out door seating. They also have a large, full bar with plenty of beer, wine and cocktail choices. A cosmopolitan is only $8 here. Kitchen area was very clean. Restaurant was quiet. The lady who seated me wasn't very friendly, but the servers were phenomenal. Kind, professional and knowledgeable about menu. I would definitely return... hoping for the crabs next time. Happy travels y'all!

Got take out from here during a recent week in ormond and it did not disappoint! There are some tables to dine in at if you aren't looking for anything fancy. But I like the take out option! We got a seafood boil, a dozen garlic crabs, peel and eat shrimp and some soup. Everything was very good. The dozen crabs were quite small which they did warn us about so I probably wouldn't get those again but overall everything was tasty! This place has been around for a long time and it's clear why.

Had a great takeout experience at Hull's Seafood! We placed our order of 3 baskets and walked over to the market to grab some fresh seafood to cook back at our place. We ended up coming back another time to grab more rock shrimp and scallops! The service was friendly and our order was out within 10-15 minutes. Everything was super fresh and light and not too oily at all. They have a great selection of fresh seafood to offer. Seating is available indoors and outdoors as well for dine-in!

The clam chowder was rich, hearty, and loaded with clams and other delicious ingredients. We also took advantage of their happy hour special with $1 raw oysters, which were fresh and delicious. The fried fish and fried shrimp specials were both excellent--lightly battered, perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy. We paired everything with a couple of beers and sweet tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Lauren, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian and Mama were also so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, the clean restaurant (including the spotless restroom), and the background music, which was at just the right volume. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Macker Seafood if you're looking for fresh seafood, great service, and a relaxed dining experience!

We had chowder, raw oysters, lightly blackened mahi-mahi and peel/eat shrimp. No complaints with any. Peel/eat shrimp came with potatoes and corn, too-- nice surprise. Mahi-mahi came with tasty fries. Just a simple little place with basic menu; I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety and different dishes, this being the 3rd day of seafood fest! No complaints at all, but there are other places in the area with very good seafood, full bar, seating on the water, etc. (I thought this place could probably charge much more, being just as it is, if it were anywhere near the actual beach or waterway).

I chose to sit outside (something I normally don't do) since it wasn't very humid. River Grille offers a diverse menu that mixes a bit of Cajun influence with southern cooking. I placed an order for the Bayou Hurricane, some gator bites, and Citrus Bourbon Salmon served with my choice of two sides (red beans & rice and garlic mashed potatoes). As I was enjoying my refreshing cocktail, the server brought out the gator bites. It was my first time trying them, and they were actually the best thing I've ever tasted. The Cajun remoulade complemented the texture of the alligator, which was fried perfectly and wasn't chewy. The deliciousness continued with the salmon. It was grilled nicely and topped with a tasty sweet citrus bourbon bbq sauce and onion strings. The red beans & rice was cooked to a soft consistency and the mashed potatoes was creamy and flavorful. I would describe my outdoor dining experience as pleasurable --that is, until a squirrel appeared and started going around the tables as if it were a regular patron. It was all smiles until the squirrel climbed up the chair, propped itself on the table, and looked straight at me as if to say, "Hey, you gonna eat the rest of that salmon?" I knew it meant me no harm, so I didn't freak out; however, I wasn't sharing my delicious salmon with it. I slowly grabbed my cocktail with one hand and the plate with the remains of salmon with the other hand as the squirrel scurried toward me. Luckily, two servers saw my predicament and came to shoo the squirrel away. Well, that killed my appetite. I asked for a container for the leftovers and ordered dessert to go. Don't get it twisted, I'm not deterred from coming back, it will just be indoors next time.

The hostess was friendly and immediately showed us to an inside table (at our request) Our waiter shall be nameless, cause everyone is allowed to have a bad day. We asked if the calamari or gator bites were better, he said the calamari suckedl. So gator bites it was. We had the stuffed flounder with hush puppies, jumbalaya, aforementioned gator bites and shrimp and grits. The beer was iced cold, which was appreciated on a very hot day. Iced tea and sodas are refilled at no charge. The food was underwhelming, and nothing stood out. I honestly wouldn't eat here again. We did walk down to the river behind the property after dinner. It was beautiful. You can feed the fish in the river for 25 cents. We also, watched squirrels yelling at each other, and saw a few cute lizards.
