We were seated straight away. The host was cheerful and polite, she was all smiles. The restaurant was clean and well lit. My associate had a fish sandwich and he said it was well prepared and tasted fine, was just a little "dry". I had the fish and chips, their daily special. The coleslaw was great, their fries where hot and crispy, the fish was so-so. The fish was so thin in was overly crispy and had areas that were hard to chew. The flavor was there, maybe not the best cut for fried fish. The server keep our tea full, which earns her accolades for sure. She was on the ball and most helpful. When I return, I will try a more sophisticated dish...they had some that looked wonderful.

It was a full house, so there was a bit of a wait to get in. The server was good and the food came in good time. The calamari was a bit salty but tasted fresh. The oysters were great and fresh also. It's a little way out from Orlando but give it a try.

While passing through Deland, we decided to stop for lunch and stumbled upon a local gem serving local, fresh seafood. We enjoyed the lunch-sized portions of grilled grouper and a shrimp po-boy, both of which were tasty and generously served. We took home a slice of carrot cake and key lime cake, I couldn't resist a couple of bites before taking a picture. The owner made a point to check on us twice, a rare and appreciated touch. The atmosphere was inviting and laid-back, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

This was quite an unfortunate experience. I understand that it can be a little busy and chaotic on Mothers day, but upon walking in the manager was quite rude to the employees in front of all the guests which is extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. We sat down to order and I was excited about trying their stuffed mushrooms, to which our waitress came back to inform me that they were out of, so I got the fried fish reuben sandwich. This sandwich was incredibly unstable as the bread was greasy and soggy, and bland as all hell. They have their tarter and cocktail sauces in bottles at the table, which seems kind of gross to not be refrigerated. Even the tarter sauce was bland and might as well have just been mayonnaise.

"Git yerseff on dan heah rat nah!!" is what I tell every one who asks about Deland Fish House! When you walk in, you immediately spy a case full of fresh fish and as you head back to your table toy pass a tempting assortment of desserts like their famous Key Lime Pie!! We had the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer along with Fried Okra and that was plenty for a meal in and of itself. Shrimp were spicy and tender and the okra was fried perfectly. We had blue cheese and ranch dressings to dip. Beer and Wine are the libations they serve and of course sodas and delicious Iced Tea! We had the Fish Reuben and The blackened Mahi sandwiches with Cole Slaw and fries for our mains. The fish is as so yummy and the breads they serve with sandwiches are hearty and fresh! I'm just glad I don't live near by because I would eat here all the time and be as big as a house!

    Very soupy shrimp and grits.

Smell of fish at counter was a bit off putting. Food and service made up for it. FNC was decent, frog legs, slaw and hush puppies were good.

Recently I had dinner at Lighthouse Seafood Market & Cafe and it was my first time there, but…read moredefinitely not my last. Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

Let's start with Morgan because WOW. If customer service had a Hall of Fame, she'd already have a statue out front. She was super nice, fast, on point, and somehow knew what we needed before we did. Shrimp & Grits: one bite and just sat there in silence and awe! Fried Shrimp Basket: Crispy like it just graduated from Crunch University. Not greasy, not heavy, golden perfection. These shrimp had more balance than my checking account and more flavor than most people's personalities. This place didn't just meet expectations--it body-slammed them! Highly recommend.

Quite the yummy dinner in Deland, FL. I didn't had…read morereservations but was able to snag a table after an hour wait. The wait was worth it! We ordered the short ribs, piccanha, and prime rib. All three dishes were well thought out and executed. I want to go back soon! The atmosphere was very cozy and modern, service was attentive. Kinda feel back I forgot to take more photos before tearing into my meal...

Reservations very strongly recommended, we didn't do that. Quoted a 45 minute wait but seated in about 20. Service was outstanding, even given the fact that the other members of my party are rank Philistines. Bartender, server, chef, runners, literally everyone was as impeccable as anyone has ever uttered the words "impeccable service." The food was very, very good. I had a salad with ahi that had exactly the right proportions of every ingredient. Everyone else loved their entrees, however which I won't get into since the menu changes frequently. Scratch kitchens like this make what they can with what they get, and this one is shining example of how good that can be. Dessert was one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had, and a gelato flight with some insane flavor profiles. It was, in a word, outstanding. 4 (extremely good) martinis, app, two entrees, two dessert, clocked at a reasonable $140 pre-tip. Go here and eat a succulent meal. Worth every cent.
