I can tell this spot is very popular with the locals because during our visit, there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick-up carry-out orders. We ordered a lot of food, so I had a Rum Punch while we waited. The menu warns that you just need one to feel it, and let me tell you, it puts the PUNCH in rum punch! Very strong, very potent. I ordered the Fried Catfish meal with collard greens and mac and cheese. I had Miss Pam's Sweet Tea as my drink. I was disappointed by the size of the catfish filets (3), because they were more like tenders, but the flavor and the fry on them was 10/10! The collard greens were cooked well and well-seasoned and the macaroni was super cheesy and creamy. My husband ordered the Pork Chop meal with the same two sides. He was concerned that they pork chop would be too thick, but based on the pictures we saw here, I told him that wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The pork chop was so thin, that once it was fried, it curled up and onto itself. We also ordered the 6 wing/5 shrimp meal, and because we asked for it to be packed and prepared for an hour of travel, they opted to fry them a little hard but that ultimately dried them out.
