Ambiance is relaxing and laid back. It is dirty tho.... Very dusty. (Middle section was cleaned rest is not, so if servers are responsible for their sections only one section is cleaning properly) Kept sneezing. Bathroom is gross. My shoes stuck to the floor, can see fecal matter on the toilet seat and the base of the toilets obviously do not get wiped Food is decent but took awhile to get. Apple sauce was spoiled. Tasted rotten. Must be old. We were the first people in, sat and ordered yet we didn't get our food till multiple tables were served. Service was kind, polite, helpful, and efficient. If front of house looks like this what does the back look like I'm sure I can find more things dirty but I'm not searching from them. These are things that anyone can see with ease! Most the customers are older so they may not notice

BBQ time!

A solid 4/4.5. I don't know if it's because I was starving but everything was spot on. I can only leave my review for the pulled pork platter that comes with bread and 2 sides. PLENTY of food. I got beans and mac: The beans were full of flavor, mac n cheese was cheesin' (make sure to put them TOGETHER for the best flavor combo), pulled pork was tender & the garlic bread was devine. My husband ordered corn on the cob as a side and fries. Not very good- fries were cold and unseasoned & cob tasted like it was in a pot of water for hours. But he enjoyed the chicken and dumplings soup & salad. We would come back again. service was quick for us and the waitress was nice. Very homey.

Pretty standard barbecue fare. The turkey was plentiful. The beans were tasty. The garlic toast was excellent. The potato salad was flavorful but the potatoes needed to be diced to a smaller size. Our server was handling too many tables but did the best she could. Prices keep going up for meat.

Bad food, the worst BBQ ever. Bones in the pulled pork. The food is going home to the dog. Don't come here.

This place was absolutely beautiful. I attended an event during their bottomless brunch and the…read morespace alone had me in awe. The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

I chose the turkey pot pie as my one entrée and it was the most delicious thing I have eaten in a hot minute. The food at this restaurant is homemade. It's not just some like chef cooking in the back. This stuff is home made. I am a chocolate fanatic. I have never tasted a better chocolate cake in my life. I've been chocolate cakes, and I'm very proud of them. Cooks puts my chocolate cakes to shame. The decor is like being in someone's home. My waitress was amazing. Eat at this restaurant. Once you understand that this is a restaurant founded in 1959, housed in a former two story home originally built in 1951, you may come to appreciate the history and understand the vibe. It is truly amazing that this historic restaurant has survived in 2026. I happen to like the uniqueness and honestylye-feel, as if you're at someone's grandma's house. There is plenty of parking directly behind the restaurant and a small lot in ftont of the restaurant. There's parking along the side too. I enjoy the beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Honestly, they can make for a nice photo on a good day. Upon entering, if it's busy, like on Sunday afternoons, you'll find that you'll receive a little card with a number on it. After waiting and listening for your number to be called, you'll be seated. Check the website before you go... You'll be prepared for the hybrid meal service. Some things are served to you at the table and are not unlimited, like soups and desserts. Some things are self-serve and unlimited, like the old-fashioned salad bar and hot vegetables. A server will hand-carve your choice of meat for you. Just "know-before-you-go" by taking a quick glance at the website. Is it five star food? No. Is it just homey country style cooking? Yes. They serve lunch and dinner. They are supported by generations of locals. Lots of people like to celebrate their birthday here. If you bring at least 3 friends to help you celebrate, you'll dine for free. Contrary to many reviews, I've never experienced or seen rudeness. In fact, I've seen staff taking the time to be friendly to guests. When coming here, you can't be super picky about the food - it's not a five star restaurant. Yes, the green beans may be from a can. It's okay, you'll survive! Enjoy the unique experience!

We arrived just before noon and were able to grab a table inside, though the patio looked like a fun option as well. It was a Saturday, and had a brunch menu, but I opted for a regular lunch. Ample seating outside and inside. The menu itself has some really great options so it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering the clam chowder. It had a really nice flavor and really enjoyed it, not too many clams though. For my entree I ordered the bulgogi bahn mi.... And I get it "salted" is part of the name of this restaurant, but it was so so salty, almost inedible salty-. Overall really cute restaurant, vibe and concept, but I'd definitely order something else if I ever went back.
