We Love the Deleon Bar! Great local spot. Small restaurant and small team. They do a great job with what they have but do not plan on going with a large group or if you are short on time. Cool bar and grill where you can sit outside and watch planes and skydivers. We came here for a bite and some drinks and it was a really cool vibe. Small planes were taking off right next to the bar! Cool outside patio with a bar and hi-top/table seating. We got the wonton cheese balls and they were delicious! The tuna salad was also fresh on a croissant, and the drinks were all delicious. Not you're in the area and looking for a bar and grill with a fun atmosphere - I would definitely recommend Deleon's! read more

Absolutely yummy food! Went here for lunch and I'm so glad we did. It's a little place but very clean and nice inside. The waitress was so sweet and all by herself! The fish sandwich was delicious. Tried the crab poutine fries and they were ok. The onion rings were a solid winner. Would gladly go back here anytime. read more

After seeing their FB post of what looked to be great food-we were excited to try out the restaurant, especially being they advertised LA oysters-so we jumped in the car to check it out. When we walked in, didn't really know if we just sat ourselves at a table or what so we seated at the BAR and waited. After a bit of time the server told us she would be with us shortly, we waited and after some time she breezed by quickly handed menus to us and said she would return..we said sure ok, no problem...so we waited some more-when she finally returned she asked "what are you having"? I said well "we would like a drink first"-she said "you didn't look at the menus"? No not really..we wanted to order our drink first. And she copped a smart tude right then and there. Said she was working by herself and scoffed that if we were in a hurry and had to be somewhere, well then their place might not be the place for us and walked off. Well, having a drink first does not equate to being in a hurry to eat and we were sitting at the BAR, that would have been a good start to having our meal no??? After she walked away, I responded with Say what????? I told my husband "she really didn't just say that to us right"?? Who would not get upset about that kind of service! My husband then noticed she seemed to purposefully serve others that he guessed were local patrons and even serve a few who arrived after us. He told me to be quiet, which I did.. but she knew I was not happy. So she finally came up and my husband ordered our drinks. We were waiting for our drinks while looking over the menu and witnessing the server continuing to checking people out, talk to the person who walked right in and strode up beside me to order a to go order and walked to the other side of the bar taking other orders/checks etc. ..still no drinks...We sat there but decided whenever we FINALLY got our drinks we would go ahead and place our order right then. Then she came up and told us she would NOT be serving us and to have a good weekend and took the menus-I didn't even know what had just happened! My husband said we were being asked to leave. For what?? He said let's go and we did. I know the restaurant biz personally and how stressful it can be, but that is UNACCEPTABLE. If that hurt your feelings honey, you need another profession. And if your boss allows that behavior they are no better. Deleon Springs is a small town and I assume everyone in there knew we weren't locals, so if that's how you treat people go for it and if a diner out there wants that kind of treatment and dining experience, here's your place! We will NEVER go back. We headed right down the road and had a very nice meal at the DeLand Fish House which was equally busy and were greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome by the servers and hostess. Drinks arrived before our seat got warm and the food was excellent-Deleon Bar and Grill needs a lesson on how to treat patrons, And your server needs an even bigger lesson in customer service! One of the worst experiences I've ever had. We ordered buffalo wings hot and mozzarella sticks. wings were barely edible - soaked in sauce. the mozzarella sticks were inedible - complimented by refrigerator temp tomato sauce. then.... we both ordered the French dip which is usually my "mainstay.". the meat was "mystery meat/ the color of pink/grey not usually associated w beef. the "special sauce" was all horseradish and the sandwich- gristle on a roll that fell apart first bite. meal was $80 for a handful of fries and 2 beers. I cannot blame the lack of concern from the waitress who was the only server on staff running the bar and tables. take a hard pass on this one! read more

This place is great!! The food was amazing! It's run by a couple so they have limited hours because they can't work all day and all night but make a plan to stop in when they are open! The Buffalo chicken sandwich is loaded with delicious chicken and cheese! The waygu burger is juicy and delicious! Truffle fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked and crispy! We also ordered the pretzels and beer cheese which was top notch as well! Amazing in every way! read more

This very small restaurant has excellent food. We have been twice and enjoyed it immensely both times. Our friends had a couple of seafood dishes and we had a burger and the grilled cheese. Delicious! The service is very friendly. Highly recommended! read more

This gem of a restaurant needs to be on your list of places to eat! We spent the day at DeLeon springs with a big group and needed somewhere to get dinner. Deleon's bar and grill is just a few mins from the park entrance making it very convenient. Inside, the bar is the most prominent feature, with only 2 booths and a two-top table. The owner said he is restricted due to occupancy regulations. He even has 4 picnic tables that they won't let him use outside! But, I digress, we saw the two booths with their checks and to-go boxes and only had to wait a few mins to scoop up both booths. The menu has everything from burgers and wings, to seafood dishes, and they even had kids menus with pictures to color and crayons! The restaurant itself is clean, modern and looks recently renovated. They have a few games like darts, pool, and a quarter machine to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. The food was by far the star of the show, as everything was fresh and delicious! My son got the fried shrimp kids meal with fries and hush puppies. My husband and I shared a dozen chicken wings with medium buffalo sauce, a side of tots, and a side of some of the best dang coleslaw! Was it apple cider vinegar? Ginger? Carrots? I may never know but it was a prize winner. The hush puppies added to almost every dish were such a delightful surprise. You get a hush puppy! And you get a hush puppy! Everyone gets a hush puppy!!! The dishes used were so beautiful and everything just came across as being very intentional. The bill was actually reasonable and didn't make us flinch at the pricing. Overall Deleon's Bar & Grill was a wonderful discovery and we will make it a must-stop when visiting DeLeon Springs! read more

Just wanted to add my thoughts, This Little bar/restaurant is most likely the cleanest place in Florida.. They performed an incredible task of a changing a worn out location and building into a beautiful well designed bar. Bartender is a wonderful gal and I guess? (the owner) is the chef... which sadly the kitchen is in another building in the back. They do an almost awesome on on everything they serve.. For my thoughts the menu should be tweaked a bit in order to come together a little better... Sadly their location (Deleon Springs) is not the best .. This business anywhere else would be a solid winner!!.. I would get rid of the pool table and figure out some kind of entertainment venue.. Guitarist?, duet?.. something to create the ambiance the place deserves... pool table is not it!... They (teh owners) have a hard road ahead of them .. but they have done a lot of the hard work already, They are going in the right direction and hopefully will find their place. They are completely upscale and will find their way.. Give them your support, they deserve it, and have worked really hard to earn it. Music will be their key for creating an evening business.. TV's are Ok for the day and afternoon, but music is the key to an evening venue. I wish them all the best, they chose a tough business... Late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Jalapeno poppers and French Dip were outstanding. Service was great and the atmosphere reminded me of a comfortable neighborhood tavern from the good old days. We will be back often to work our way through the rest of the menu. read more

Some friends and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday (President's Day) only to find out that they were closed. They are normally closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we made plans to stop in Thursday and they were closed again. I emailed the owner and said that I was disappointed they were not open.
