We stopped in for a few items, while staying in the area for several days. We were particularly appreciative of their soups in the deli; especially their chicken wild rice offering. The facility is well-maintained; with the usual selection of items, from which to choose, one expects at a Publix. The staff, we encountered, were friendly and accommodating. And if one is fortunate; the selections one is seeking, will be BOGO (or on some other sale promotion). All and all; this location is a solid representative for the franchise. read more

I went to Publix this morning about 930 10 o'clock to the butcher shop they had whole sirloin tip in bag. I asked the gentleman the butcher to give me some steaks in a roast. He had no problem initially they were all too big. You found me one that was more soothing to my size since I am one person single he did an excellent job steaks are nice. Roast is nice very very friendly very courteous. I think I'm gonna start going when I go on Sundays, awesome I'm sorry I did not get his name. read more

Pitiful!! Pitiful!!! Pitiful!!!! Worst Publix in the entire state of FLORIDA. It starts with the LEADERS/MANAGERS and trickles down to the baggers. The deli is probably the worst of the worst (other than the MANAGERS that allow the employees to be down-right-pitiful). The deli manager is truly nonexistent. The pitiful employees have no respect at all for this manager. They do as they please. Ignoring customers and bitching about other co-workers is a regular occurrence. Just plain pitiful!! If you need lunch meat sliced, you better call it in two -three hours before you plan on heading that way. Oh yea I forgot, they don't answer the phone. Pitiful!!! Being a beachside store it's always going to make money no matter how PITIFUL they are. New tourist coming into town every week will shop there however the pitifulness will damage the Publix Brand. I know nothing will be done to correct Pitifulness of this beachside store, however I feel better just putting this out there. Thank goodness they have just built another Publix in our neighboring town (Ormand Beach) only little over a mile away. Its like night and day from top to bottom. read more

Really nice store and convenient to most hotel and resorts on the sandbar. Unfortunately you pay the price. Literally! This place has some of the worst grocery prices I've ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to ALDI. Much better prices for similar food options! Wouldn't recommend, their pricing doesn't make sense and their prices are the highest in the business. Also they always have huge lines and not enough staff to run the check out lanes. This place needs a complete overhaul on pricing and staffing. 2 stars only bc of convenience and it is clean and maintained we'll probably due to the high prices from those who shop there. read more

Tell you a little secret, where you can find the best seafood in Florida? No not in a restaurant, they are all mostly overpriced, yes indeed, Publix! Especially in a place like northern Florida, not that many good places around town, but Publix is just amazing everywhere. Seafood are extremely fresh, and cheap, if you want to spend $50 at Joe's stone crab, that is great too, but $3 for a couple of claws at Publix is just as fresh, and you can have it every meal! We are from California and too bad there isn't even a upscale supermarket that come close, Whole Food, Draegers, etc. I am of course not talking about price but freshness, hell you can even have fresh caviar for half the price at Publix, if it seems not upscale enough for you. And bakery, soup, fruit, all so fresh and delicious! We were just wondering when will this chain expand to California. read more

Love coming here for Pub Subs they are delicious just hate that it's whole 30-45 minute process because they are understaffed and the poor lady is scrambling between the 3 deli station lines. It's ashame. read more

The Store Manager lacks - all I was trying to do is buy a lottery ticket and he was operating the lotto machine. I waited behind three people and by the time it was my turn, he asked me to wait a minute. I told him I just waited 10 minutes in line. All I want is a lottery ticket. Then he seem to not be able to figure out how to operate the lottery machine, he had just helped three other people. Then I gave him a winning ticket to cash and pay towards my new ticket. It took him five minutes to figure out how to do that. Then he tells me he's the store manager. You would think the store manager would know better or have someone operating the machine that knew what they were doing. All I wanted was a lottery ticket buy some yogurt and fruit and get out of the store. This is the worst service I've ever received at a Publix. Go elsewhere, I will. read more

This store is convenient to Ormond Beach where we were staying. It was clean and easy to park and access. I found what I needed and was able to get in and out. It was nice to get what I needed without paying high prices or having to search while on vacation. Publix always has fresh items and a good selection of organic items. read more

I like this location when I am on the beach side and want to pick some things up. this is a fairly large Publix with a great array of items to choose from. Everyone I have run into inside the store has been great. Going at 8am also negates running into some of the less savory people that sometimes linger in the parking lot in the late afternoon/evening. Now that the timeshare sales group is closed you do not get accosted in the parking lot by them any more either. I have never had a bad experience inside. The staff has always been helpful and polite. willing to help me find something when I am looking for a unique item as well. read more

This is a good Publix. It is just about the ONLY good thing in the shopping center -- other than the Starbucks. It is amazing that such a well stocked store with such friendly staff is located in a very touristy area. Normally, associates of businesses heavily patronized by tourists tend to be mean, rude, or persnickety. Like many other businesses on the beach, my one point of contention is with the lack of thought put into parking and flow of traffic. read more

This grocery store was near my hotel. So, I stopped in on vacation. They had a good selection of tanning lotion and pool supplies. It was nice and modern inside. There were lots of sandwich and fruit options. I was able to get a bottle of wine which saved me money on dinners out. There was a nice selection of snacks and soft drinks. Big grocery store. It had everything we were looking for. Cashiers were extremely friendly! And the associates on the floor was busy stocking merchandise which only means they are busy and needing to be stocked up at all times. Their price is fair and does not require membership card. Which is useful for tourist like us who does not need to open membership card for one visit. read more

I bought a couple of items today and inadvertently, left some at the cashier area of the service desk. My initial contact was pleasant as has been my history with most Publix shopping centers. Today, upon my return to reclaim my purchase at that same "service" desk, I had a chance and disappointing conversation with a rather tall female who, in the middle of our conversation, ignored me and assisted someone else (filling out a employment application?...not sure). This "service" associate was rude and condescending and, she appeared to training or supervising a young male employee who was considerate, kind and a credit to the Publix brand. I hope she doesn't ruin him and train him in the fine art of rudeness and disservice which she showed me. Best of luck to the young (and new?) employee. Perhaps you will get a worthy supervisor in the future. Interestingly, I have been a Publix shopper in Ormond for the past 15 years; the Trails-based, the Granada beachside and the Granada inland are filled with polite, respectful, enthusiastic employees....don't know how the beachside "service" person has held on so long. I ordered a birthday cake from here for last night while on vacation. Publix in Tennessee is set apart from other grocery stores as far as the bakery goes. The cakes always taste so much better. You know when you bite into it it's a Publix cake. That was not the case here. The cake was decorated nice but tasted nothing like I am used to. Nothing better than a Walmart or Ingles cake. Never seen so many unhappy people working together (barely) in the deli. Every time l go in there I hate going to that deli because while they are preparing my food l know how many divorces they are or have went through and all there problems.. complaining about working and definitely not working together. This is a near perfect supermarket. They have an excellent layout, good lighting and abundant selection of everything. I'm from CA, where they have lots of gourmet and organic products. Publix offers a big selection of the cereals I usually get at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, Pirates Booty (is a vacation a vacation without that?), dozens of Boar's Head meats , sliced at the thickness you want, to order. Excellent produce, and a large department with beach toys and a whole aisle of suntan / sunscreen products. This is the place to shop for groceries on the beach, and as a bonus, there is a blockbuster in the same plaza. read more

Best find if you want to picnic on the beach last minute. Head over to Publix for everything you need - its located right across from the beach so it's super convenient. They even sell beach floats and sand chairs and ice. They have an ATM outside and the salad bar is reasonable. Nice people work here. read more

Newly constructed store opened 11-23-14. It's about 20% larger than the old one and very nice. Highly recommend.

Publix is my favorite grocery store. The staff are always helpful and willing to assist in any way they can. The stores are so clean you could eat off the floor! The selection of items is vast and you'll always have a lot to choose from. I really love the produce department, everything is fresh and well stocked. The bakery has some of the best bread!! Just moved to area, this is the closest Publix to me. I love this store! Staff very friendly and helpful. Store is very well lit and clean. There is a wide variety of Vegan products, which is wonderful !! The avocados are great!! It also offers vegan products at a lower price than specialty markets! This is my store!! read more
