I was visiting Florida since my sister now lives there, had to take my niece, Koutney to one and she's loves fudge and this place had everything. Made a roadtrip out of it, only two hours, about the same amount of hours from Laredo to San Antonio, wasn't too bad. Of course, Florida is much smaller than Texas roads, we got there around 11am and ohhhhh boooooiii, that smell of brisket just had to stand there to take a moment of silent. Plus this was also a redemption on my banana pudding, because when I went to the Buccees in Tennesse, the TSA agent threw it away and I was hella sad, that was $5 down the drain and it was frozen, not liquid. (I placed it in the freezer before getting on the plane). That redemption bite of fresh banana pudding had me in tears okay! I just love their pudding and you can say all you want about Magnolia Bakery banana Pudding, I prefer the ones from Buccee's. Can't go wrong with any brisket sandwich from here, I ended up buying a couple of it since I never leave empty handed and even though my sister doesn't it, her husband will. Don't forget to grab some onions and pickles at the brisket station for your sandwich, it cuts the fattiness of the brisket or kimchi will do too. OMG I need to do that next time. Sound fire! I belived the nearest Buccee's for me is in Arizona and that recently opened up, can't go there just yet but I will. For me, I'm trying to collect all their Buccee's location teeshirt, its the cutest thing. This was my very first Buc-ee's experience. It's huge! It has several gas pumps and they even have a car wash across the street. Inside, it was packed with people. Many were in the hot food section buying brisket sandwiches, bakery items. They even had shirts and pajamas, and anything you might possibly need. Buc-ee's is always one of our go-to spots on road trips so we were looking forward to stopping here. Pros: clean bathrooms, great service, good brisket sandwiches. Cons: insanely crowded worse than I've ever experienced before with no organization in the store or the parking lot, questionable characters asking for money at the gas station. I still love Buc-ee's but if there is any way to bring some organization to the crowded chaos I think everyone would have a much easier and more pleasant experience. read more

I was so excited to visit Buc-ee's, but now that I'm here, I'm trying to make sense of what I'm seeing. There was so much going on immediately upon entering. The place was bustling with activity, like a crowded flea market. First, I was met with the sight of people standing in line purchasing tobacco products. A few inches down, there were men's apparel and Buc-ee's souvenirs on one side, and women's apparel and other merchandise on the other. When you get to the middle of the store, you're faced with a large selection of jerky in a variety of flavors, bakery items, fudge bars, and other quick bites. You can actually see employees making fresh tortillas and slicing and chopping brisket for the sandwiches. Towards the back of the store are organized aisles, setup like a convenience store stocked with packaged nuts, jerky, snacks, candy, and much more. The women's bathroom was large and clean, with adequate stalls that have lights above the doors to indicate vacancy. Outside was an enormous gas station with more than 20 pumps, and across from it was the large car wash. Keep driving. We love Buc-ee's. Not this one. I don't know what barrel was scraped to find employees to work here. From the lazy bathroom attendant - who snapped at me because I dared to use an adjacent sink whilst she wiped a mirror (that was nowhere near me), to Kim at the registers who snarked at me because I had the audacity to ask for a receipt- including flailing her arms and chastising me for not asking "loud enough", this is the WORST Buc-ee's we've come across. Dirty bathrooms which I did not think was possible at a Buc-ee's, long lines because they don't have enough rude people to staff the registers, and you'll be waiting 5 to 10 minutes for chicken sandwich. It was like fifty Key West style businesses jammed into one massive warehouse with a beaver named Bucky as the mascot prominently positioned at the front doors welcoming every visitor. Made it through hundreds of big bodies getting a few elbows on the way to the wall of World Famous Beef Jerky with ghost pepper, boheman garlic, teriyaki and jalapeno honey with prices ranging frim $5 - $15 per bag. Full operational kitchen serving hot plates of burritos, beef, tacos, chicken and pastry. Lots of Buc-ee's logo clothing and gift type attire. The parking lot was difficult to find a space so had to park a bit out by the gas station. They also offer a car wash. Spent about half an hour here but had to get back on the road. Fill-er up?? Need gas? Need food and drink? Gotta use the bathroom? Looking for souvenirs? Need snacks for the road? Really NEED coffee?? If your answer is a resounding "Yes" to all of the above, especially coffee, then Buc-ee's is your one stop shop of choice. My partner (who's been to a Buc-cee's in Texas)and I ventured to this location after disembarking our cruise ship in Port Canaveral; it was about a 1 hour drive North. Interestingly enough, we discovered this location via YouTube vlogger/channel, "wrightdownmainstreet". She regularly posts vlogs about Disney World, and while looking thru her videos we found a posted vlog about this location. As expected, this location is enormous. Really, it is. I think this is probably the largest gas station I have ever been to. I thought it was pretty awesome they basically had all the needs a driver would want, aside from gas: coffee, drinks, snacks, sweets, warm food, souvenirs, clothes, etc. The snacks and products are their own, and I was impressed with the wide variety of snacks/chips/candies, etc. We took our time perusing the store, as we couldn't check into our Disney World Hotel (Old Key West, see my review!) until later in the afternoon. I estimate we spent over an hour browsing and just carefully looking throughout the store.....especially the snack section and hot food (grab and go section). In the end, we got snacks for the road and room, soda, water, coffee, and brisket wraps. **OVERALL REVIEW** Over the course of years since this location opened, I have visited Buc-ee's numerous times, stocking up on food, t-shirts, and miscellaneous paraphernalia doning the logo featuring Bucky the Beaver. Tangeant note: The most popular t-shirt from Pro-Wrestling Tees is a charicature of Bucky the Beaver featuring Ruby Soho (a.k.a. Ruby Riot). Throughout those years visiting Buc-ee's AND being a Yelp Elite, I have not written a review on them... until now. It is evident by my high-recommendational tone, this location is going to get five-out-of-five-star rating. Let me detail you, why. Though an address is provided, Buc-ee's located in Daytona Beach is one exit north of the exit that has the Daytona Speedway just eastward of I-95. Their sign, a side-view of Bucky the Beaver, is easily viewable from the road. You'll know to make your exit along with the numerous billboards leading up to it. At one time, this Buc-ee's was "the biggest in the United States." That claim can no longer be said, but it should be known that whenever a new Buc-ee's location opens, it always seems to be "the biggest" until the next one opens. On the outside, Buc-ee's lives up to its roots in Texas, because "everything is bigger in Texas" right? There are 104 gas pumps for civilian drivers as commercial trucks are no longer allowed to stay at Buc-ee's thanks to the number of disrespectful truck drivers causing a ruckus. And plenty of people can enjoy Buc-ee's as there are 700 to 750 parking spaces. With all the meat you'll be eating, it should be fine to add a couple more steps sitting afar from the store. If you never been to a Buc-ee's before, you'll be greeted by the strong, delicious scent of brisket. Buc-ee's will go through up to 200 whole briskets a day. That is a lot of briskets sandwiches. And that is just the brisket. There is chicken, beef, and other kinds of cooked meat made into sandwiches and tacos and such. Kolaches are of numerous flavors including a dessert one. Let's not forget the nuts and fudge and everything else in between. In short, there is so much Buc-ee's branded food, freshly made from their deli, bakery, and meat departments or pre-packaged in their grocery section. Sidenote: do not sleep on the Buc-ee's Nuggies and Beaver Nuggets. And to end this review, I have to push their claim of having the cleanest restrooms of any gas station ever. Buc-ee's lives up to their name as the restroom always has at least two janitors on staff for each restroom to clean the over 80 restroom stalls. Those janitors are like ninjas. Once you step out, they swoop in to clean. It also helps each stall has a red light/green light letting people know when one is occupied or not. I could go on-and-on-and-on on why this Buc-ee's gets a five-star rating, but I will simply give you my personal positive insight. The food was always delicious, the service was always kind, and I have bought so many physical items here, specifically t-shirts. And guess what? I will continue to add more shirts to my Buc-ee's collection. The only thing I can see changing is the frequency I go here. "If" the rumored location in Indrio Rd. opens up, it takes me less time to drive south to Fort Pierce than it does for me to drive north to Daytona Beach. Still, that does not take away that Buc-ee's in Daytona Beach is the first Buc-ee's I been to, and it made such an impact that I would purposely make the drive north just to go here. read more

On our weekend getaway to Georgia, my family finally checked out Buc-ee's at the Daytona location after so many of my colleagues told me it was an absolute must-stop on any road trip. The best way I can describe Buc-ee's is that it's a gas station on steroids--or maybe the Costco, Sam's Club, or BJ's Wholesale Club of gas stations. It has just about everything, including some amazing-looking BBQ that everyone raves about. It definitely exceeded our expectations! We didn't try the food this time because, honestly, we just weren't hungry. I'm almost ashamed to admit I forgot to take photos. I was so overwhelmed trying to take everything in that I completely forgot. There was just so much to see! We did fill up with gas and went through the car wash, though. I have to say, it was one of the best car washes I've ever been through. We'll definitely be stopping at Buc-ee's again on our next road trip--and next time, I'm trying the BBQ! read more

Buc-ee's is a must stop anytime you pass by. It's is truly a retail wonder but has something for everyone. First, if you're traveling, it's a great place for reasonably priced gas. There is always a great place for pets to stop, and the bathrooms inside are the cleanest you'll find anywhere. This particular location in Daytona has a car wash as well. They are masters at promoting themselves and have brilliantly themed gifts. Whether it's clothing, hats, toys, decor, it's all immense fun. The food is not gas station food. They actually have some really nice BBQ, sandwich and bakery items along with their own candy and snacks. While driving back to New Jersey from Miami, we kept seeing Buc ee's billboards all across Florida. My co driver (aka my wife) looked it up, and we both decided, "Why not check out another famous highway attraction? Turns out--it's a big deal in this part of the country. The place is huge. They have 20+ gas pumps, a car wash, and a massive general store meets fast food setup. Inside, you'll find everything: tourist souvenirs, merch, clothes, toys, magnets--you name it. The whole store felt lively, busy, and well-run. Food Section : Honestly, their food area alone could compete with any major fast food chain. So many options, and everything looked fresh. I tried their fries, a chicken burger, and a burrito. All of it was hot and ready on their warming station, and items were flying off the counter quickly. The burrito was really good (or maybe we were just starving!), haha. We also picked up a Buc ee's groundhog soft toy and a shot glass. Filled up the tank and were ready for another 300+ miles. It took a little drive from Orlando but pretty cool to see. The one side has all merchandise from them and the opposite have various items to buy. I did by a cute keychain and seatbelt cover . They have food that is prepared in the middle already packaged. The actual center of the store has a famous brisket sandwich area where they are actually cutting up the meat and making the sandwiches they call out about the sauces and sandwiches when being made in a country way. I bought a brisket sandwich and it was pretty tasty. They have fudge for sale and a bakery counter to choose from They also sugar coat nuts of various kinds pecans, cashews, almonds. I bought the cashews ones but think I prefer almonds and pecans when sugar coated ate them on the way back to Orlando . They have a counter to purchase jerky meats of various kinds too and sauces on a rack . The gas station prices seemed the same as the others even though people say it is cheaper. One could spend a long time there looking at all the merchandise and eating . A good stop if passing by and if you are up for a ride you can travel to it from other places. I'm a Texas native so when I saw we were going to pass by buc-ees we obviously had to stop in. My number one item I always get is the pulled pork sandwich. Everytime. Ever since I moved to Florida I have been craving some good BBQ and this hit the spot. The food is cheap, gas is cheap (especially right now!!!) and the service is always fast. I know people complain about how many people are in and out of this gas station but you have to admit for how many people there are, you aren't waiting very long to check out. We had never heard of Buc-ee's - they don't exist in Northern California. But my sister-in-law was adamant that on the way to Saint Augustine we would pass right by a Buc-ee's an and it was not to be missed! When we reached Daytona Beach Buc-ee's was right off the highway, we needed a break, so we stopped by. I can't stand crowds and lines - Buc-ee's on a weekend was kind of my kryptonite. It was mobbed with people, it took bobbing and weaving just to move from one area to another. Lots of lines too. To add insult to injury it was flat out pouring going in and coming out! A high point was the food: the sweets and pulled pork sandwich were wonderful. My wife felt the brisket was a little too gristley for her taste. They certainly have a wide variety of inventory, mostly at low prices - obviously a big attraction. And the bathrooms are certainly amazing! They had visited one in San Antonio, but reveled in the more massive scale that the Daytona location offers. I kind of went crazy myself, buying way more than intended. It's easy to do. From so many tempting food items, snacks, apparel to housewares, things can really get out of hand spending-wise. I can rationalize a lot of it though, because individual items, for the most part, are priced reasonably. This time I grabbed a Brisket & Egg Taco. That brisket is amazing! Enjoyed having it without any BBQ sauce slathered on so I could purely appreciate the meat's glorious fatty flavor. Their tortillas are made fresh at a devoted station. Everything is well-maintained from the restrooms to merchandise displays. My cashier was another bright spot. She engaged me in conversation and made me feel valued as a customer. Daytona Beach was very busy this Memorial Day weekend so it was not a good time to try the Buc-ee's on LPGA Blvd. Kept seeing those funny Buc-ees billboards on the side of i95. Took a while to find a parking spot then got a picture with Bucky the Beaver before going inside the store. Checked out the clothes and the food area smelled wonderful but still too crowded to have fun. Interesting store and will visit the other one in St Augustine after the holiday. read more

Getting in and out of the parking lot can be frustrating, and it feels like an accident is waiting to happen. As a veteran with little patience for unnecessary chaos, this location can be overwhelming. One positive is the car wash, which I recommend if you're already stopping for fuel. If you're just looking for snacks or the Buc-ee's experience, I'd suggest the St. Augustine location. It has all the same offerings with a lot less chaos. I think the crowds here are mostly due to families traveling to and from Orlando. If you don't mind heavy traffic and busy parking lots, you'll probably be fine, but I prefer St. Augustine. read more

I chose the sliced brisket and it does taste yummy. I bought a stuff animal for my dog and shirts for the family. Okay, yes Buc-ee's is a phenomenon, and rightly so! Some love it, some don't care, but me, while it's not the greatest palce on earth, I do love coming here form time to time. My cardiologist is only 3 minutes away, so I do stop by after my appointment. Yes, the place is massive, it's like Walmart merged with a truck stop. But what they sell is more fun than Walmart! My favorite things to get here is their beef jerky and the fudge! I stock up whenever I visit. They have so many types of jerky and they will let you taste any one you want. There are many food choices, yet I have not eaten anything, but plan on it one of these days. This is a fun place for a visit at the very least. I recently went on a day trip to this Buc-ee's location - at least 1 hr drive each way. I honestly thought I had been to this location before, but I guess not. This was on a Sunday, and both the lot and store were busy as an angry beehive. It took me maybe 20 minutes to get gas due to the lines and waiting...and some waiting because some people parked at the pump and then went inside to "shop first" as the gas at Buc-ee's is pay-at pump only. Afterwards, I parked in a normal space and went inside to peruse the store. After some fun window shopping through the clothing, home goods, etc. I purchased some food. My objective was to spend my gift card, and I already knew that I wanted to get some of that famous brisket. I ended up with brisket, some spicy garlic jerky and a beverage from the cooler section. I'm still amazed that I can easily spend 1.5-2 hours in a gas station. I still enjoy perusing through a Buc-ee's and hope the novelty never wears off. Maybe next time, I'll try the car wash just to see how it compares to my local station. I stay stop by and see for yourself, but I am clearly biased. read more

From the moment you walk in, you don't even know where to look--they have absolutely everything, whether you need it or not. It was really crowded when I went there. I decided to take a quick break when heading to Daytona. When I exited to the road that leads to Buc-ee's, it was pretty high in traffic. It was a bit hard to find parking, but I was able to park in the back and walk to the entrance. The store was pretty crowded, with some rude people shoving others as well. I didn't try to their prepared food or drinks, but I did visit their restroom, which was really clean. I did buy 2 bars of chocolate for a little over 4 dollars, which was decent enough. I did see the souvenirs and other good, but decided against buying them. The staff was pretty friendly and surprisingly quick for a crowded place. There was even a Buc-ee's mascot where people were taking pictures with it. The store was pretty clean with a little of people. It was a bit of challenge to get in and out of the parking lot due to the traffic, but it was easy to get back to the interstate. So, was this place worth it? I would say yes if you never been to a Buc-ee's before. It's a nice rest area with various food, drinks, and souvenirs to buy. They got a very large gas station, which could still have a wait, and even a large car wash, which could easily count as a dark ride. So I would say give this place a visit if you haven't been. Buc-ee's is more than a rest stop. It's a full-blown shopping bonanza. First off, the most important, bathrooms are spotless. They have a light system similar to Disney which shows you which stalls are in use and which are available. Makes the bathroom experience seamless. Once you're done there you can explore all they have to offer!! They offer a bunch of food options, and everything is made fresh. This time around we tried the pulled pork mac and cheese and the brisket mac and cheese. Both were amazing. The mac itself is super cheesy and indulgent. I also got the chicken salad which is so yummy and the cookie dough is a must for a sweet treat. They have a huge counter where you can order some jerky and also sample it. If you prefer the pre-packaged bag, they also have that available. They also have a ton of merch with clothes and household items. They even have their sauces and seasonings available for purchase. It's always packed but don't let that deter you. The cashiers work fast and efficiently, and it doesn't take much to get out. Suggestion to Improve Traffic Flow at Buc-ee's Gas Pumps I would like to offer a suggestion that I believe would improve the overall customer experience at Buc-ee's, especially during busy times. However, one issue I have noticed is that some customers leave their vehicles parked at the gas pumps after they have finished fueling while they go inside the store to shop or use the restrooms. It was great! We visited on our way from Orlando to Jacksonville and on the way back as well. It's not as nice as the other ones I've visited, but it's still got the allure of the others! I didn't see any kiosks where you could order. Plenty of bathrooms and nice and clean. I love their seasonal selection; they had a few swimsuits for sale and some fun sun shirts. I was tempted to pick up a black button up set with neon sign print (with the Buc-ee's mascot in them), but I ended up just picking up a bumper sticker of which they had several cute designs. We got a cheesesteak burrito and the chicken and fries box. The burrito was just okay, but the chicken and fries was delicious! It also came with two free sauces of your choice and a ice cream bar. We tried the blueberry cheesecake and it was yummy; just missing the crumbly graham cracker crust. We also got our classic favorites: beaver chips, the baked skinny cheese curls, chocolate covered espresso beans, the roasted sugary nuts, and some of their jerky (overpriced, but tasty). What can I say..... the best road oasis around. The bathrooms are super clean, food is amazing and they have around 100 gas pumps and more than 60 Ev Tesla chargers. I don't know how they do it but there's a lot of people there yet somehow it flows. We tried their brisket mac and cheese and bought a ton of stuff to try. Definitely worth the stop and to take a break. read more

Is it even a trip to Daytona Beach if you didn't spend your life savings on beaver nuggets, brisket sandwiches, Texas cheesesteak burritos, and bohemian garlic jerky? This is a mandatory stop for me whenever I'm in the Daytona Beach area. No doubt about it. The staff is fantastic, the food is delicious (a bit pricey, but worth it), and the bathrooms are spotless...and I mean spotless. There are tons of employees throughout the store ready to help with questions or recommendations, which makes the experience even better. On the way home from visiting family, I stopped at the Buc-ee's in Daytona Beach. Buc-ee's is a bustling place--not only for fueling up but also for shopping inside their store. They offer a wide selection of drinks and snacks that you might typically grab during a rest/fuel stop, but they also have a full store with gifts, clothing, and food items. There are endless gas pumps available, so there's never a wait to fill up. The bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen, which is a huge plus. The freshly made food is delicious; I particularly enjoy their brisket. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to purchase it by the pound, so I opted for a brisket sandwich instead. They also have a variety of desserts, including popular options like fudge, cookies, and brownies. It's quite impressive how popular Buc-ee's has become, with souvenirs that are now in high demand. If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Buc-ee's, I recommend visiting. It is not just a stop - it's an experience. read more

Road trip win. We were on our way to Rockville and completely forgot there was a Buc-ee's in Daytona--once I saw it, I immediately pulled in. First thought: this place is massive. The parking lot alone is wild, with what feels like endless gas pumps. Walking inside was a whole experience because I genuinely didn't know where to start. It's like HomeGoods and Wawa had a giant, chaotic, beautiful baby. I made my way through section by section, and there's a little bit of everything. I grabbed their BBQ brisket sandwich and Beaver Chips first--absolutely worth it. The brisket sandwich was ridiculously good, and they're pumping those things out fresh every few minutes. Their hot food menu isn't huge, but honestly, that works in their favor--simple, focused, and done well. I also tried the triple meat sandwich with brisket, turkey, and sausage. It costs a little more, but it's loaded, super filling, and definitely worth it if you're hungry. One of the coolest parts? The jerky section, where you can sample different options before buying. Somehow I even left with beard oil... because Buc-ee's is apparently the kind of place where that makes total sense. Loved Buc-ee's.
