Poured that one out and tried the dark Cuban Columbia which I don't really like and it actually had a little flavor to it. Bitter. But at this point I just wanted to get my coffee and head out. The place was a little dirty could use some cleaning but you know it's Daytona. So if the manager reads that I would suggest checking who is making the coffee they're making it way too weak.

The restrooms were closed completely due to a plumbing issue; several areas of the store (especially the coffee area) were dirtier than we would have expected especially since it was slow. The coffee also wasn't very good; it wasn't strong enough, almost like drinking coffee that was brewed through a previously brewed batch with new grains on top. I hate that flavor, it's almost worse than old coffee that's been sitting on a heater for hours. The situation with the coffee put a damper on our vibe to order sandwiches, so we just made the coffee taste as good as we could and moved along. Other than the issues we experienced, this store is your typical Wawa convenience store with many of the great offerings other Wawa's stores provide. We will most likely pass this location up for a Circle K or Race Trac next time we are driving through Daytona Beach and craving coffee.

The staff just isn't the friendliest in town. The interactions often feel very transactional: you're here to buy a product and I'm here to hand it to you. No greeting when entering, no real warmth when leaving -- just neutral service. It's a bit surprising when you learn the businesses are owned by a local pastor. You would assume making customers feel welcomed would be a top priority. That said, during today's visit we did see what great service could look like. A regular customer walked in and one employee greeted her enthusiastically while another double-checked her order because it wasn't her "usual." That was wonderful to see -- I just wish that same energy was given to everyone walking through the door. Now for the reason we came today. Each day they post a "name of the day" on Facebook where someone with that name gets a free donut or ice cream from their sister shop. I follow along and love letting friends know when their name pops up. I've even redeemed one myself before. It's just one of those small things that makes people smile. On Sundays we usually grab breakfast somewhere on the way to church. Last week I saw their March specialty donuts posted and one looked like something our daughter would really enjoy, so we made a detour from our usual (and cheaper) breakfast spot to stop here. And to give credit where it's due -- the donuts themselves are fantastic. They're creative, fun, and genuinely delicious specialty donuts. Not your average donut shop offering. On quality alone, the donuts are easily 5 stars. Clearly a lot of people love this place, and I can understand why -- the donuts are excellent. We went here about three times during our vacation and had a pretty mixed experience overall…read more A few tips: I would definitely avoid going around 9:30-10:30 AM. They get extremely busy during that time, and the process can feel pretty chaotic. We placed mobile orders each time, but the donuts aren't placed in the mobile pickup area, so you have to get someone's attention to get them which can be extremely difficult when they're busy. Unfortunately, we also had an issue with one of our sandwich orders. It was made incorrectly, and we called the store five times with no answer. We eventually went back in person, and it took almost 30 minutes to get a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement was still made incorrectly. As far as the food goes, the donuts were good, and I'd give the coffee about a 7/10. The sandwiches, however, were a no for me. Overall, the coffee is worth trying, but I'd recommend going outside of the busy morning rush and double-checking your order before leaving.
