Bowl clam chowder

Chowder like a salt brick. Service beyond slow. Hoping at night slow in afternoon . So disappointing they have gone down hill

The food is always amazing and fresh!! The hush puppies were fried to perfection, popcorn shrimp was very flavorful, and the coleslaw I actually really did enjoy. Fries were good but still okay, a little hard but wasn't terrible. The only thing I would change was the service. I ordered a Pina Colada and never got my drink the whole time I was there. I told the waitress to just forget about putting it in since she wasn't that attentive anyway. Great food though

Absolutely amazing. Food was outstanding. Our waitress Juliette was fantastic! Thank you for a great visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by Riptides. We go to New Smyrna Beach almost every weekend and see their advertising on the plane. But it's farther north than we typically like to travel. Today we were on an adventure and realized how close we were to the restaurant and took it as a sign. Where is parking is limited and expensive they have plenty of free parking across the street. We sat in the porch area and it could not have been better. Tyler was our server. He mentioned he was new but had he not mentioned it we would have never known. He was great! Just attentive enough and made sure we had everything we needed. We order the mild wings and the conch fritters for appetizers. Both were fantastic! The wings had a great grilled flavor and the fritters were just chewy enough. The dip that came with the fritters was delicious too. We shared the beach platter fried. It was really hard to determine which was our favorite. I said the conch fritters my husband said the shrimp crab cakes. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed all of it! The outside area was perfect. We sat in the sun and it was the beach day vibe I was going for. We are local-ish 1 county north but it felt like we were on vacation. It was just what we needed today and we certainly be back! Oh and even though almost everything we ordered was ''market price" we felt like everything was reasonably priced. Thanks Tyler!

Went to Riptide's tonight. Great choice! We got a table in the covered seating. Our server took our drink order which was margaritas. When he brought our drinks we ordered our dinners, I ordered the jumbo shrimp platter which comes with coleslaw, hush puppies and my side of onion rings. My husband ordered the fried fish which also comes with coleslaw, hush puppies and his side of black beans and rice. Drinks delicious and my shrimp I think is the best I've had! Onion rings were so crispy, hush puppies delicious too, very unique! My husband loved his fish dinner, fish was mild and lightly battered. Very good choice for dinner!!

Potato Wheels

Nice bartender, cold fresh beer. Food meh. We were going to going to get dinner but changed our minds. We got the potato wheels which came really burnt and late. I asked for a do over and that was better but still not great. Photos below. For ambiance- this is a beach bar that's not on the beach. Beer comes in 16, 20, and 32 ounces. There are also 32 ounce cocktails available. No happy hour.

Lunchtime!

We came here a little after noon on Sunday. Buffalo Bills are the team that gets the big screen with 7 or so smaller screens surrounding the bar. Steelers/Vikings were already on the big screen since they were playing in Dublin on this Sunday. Anyway, it wasn't very crowded since the NFL kickoffs didn't really start until 1 pm. So we started with a half dozen oysters that were a good size (there were actually7!) but things went downhillfrom there . We also ordered a cup of the Surf and Turf soup. The soup came out lukewarm at best. We asked the runner that brought the soup out if he could take it back and heat it up. He did and returned saying the new cup was from a "fresh batch". The 2nd cup was piping hot however there was one piece of "Turf" and a miniscule amount of "Surf." Next up were the main courses. We had the Steak Tip Salad (the server didn't ask how we wanted the steak tips cooked but they came out medium) and the Cedar Plank Salmon (the server did ask how we wanted the salmon cooked) and it came out the requested medium). The vegetables served with the salmon unfortunately tasted like they were sitting a while and we're less than lukewarm while the fully loaded potato was still lukewarm. Anyway, the runner brought all the food and the server took our orders and brought the check but never asked how ANYTHING was or if we wanted desserts. The place was slowly filling up as we left after the 1 pm kickoffs so business is good. We had this place on our list to try due to the good reviews and the crowds we see when we drive by on weekends. Unfortunately it's a one and done for us. It could have been an off day for the food and server but obviously there's plenty of other options available

As many of you locals know, these events can last anywhere from four days to almost two weeks which allows multiple opportunities to visit annually, hang out with friends, see all the great shows and have some awesome food and drink. If you have never been to the Full Moon during a motorcycle event you should definitely give it a try. All the concerts are free, the beer is relatively cheap and the girls are beautiful! If you only have a chance to see one band while your here, mark your calendar for Rockit Fly, they pull the biggest crowd and it is always a blast. Rockit Fly is a local favorite and all of the members are personable and easy to talk to. Twisted tea is $3, Bud and Bud light is $4, Yuengling is $5. There are multiple food vendors on site providing items like: large turkey legs, sausage and peppers, chicken on a stick, funnel cakes, french fries, loaded fries, loaded nachos, corn dogs, large pork chops, Philly cheesesteaks, brisket, ribs and much more. Note: it can get loud in here so bring earplugs as a precaution. There are times when I have no problems at all but if I've been listening to bands all day it's nice to know that I have them if I need them. Additional Note: There is minimal seating at the Full Moon but there are bar ledges on the perimeter of the entrance off Main street where you can lean, take a partial load off and watch the bikes go by. The main stage is outdoors with tons of room for large groups. There is also an indoor bar in the back (by the food vendors) with another stage where secondary shows/contests take place in the air conditioning.

Daytona Beach didn't just stumble into its ranking as the #4 city for nightlife on the planet--it earned it through the sheer, electric legacy of spots like Timmy T's. This isn't just a nightclub; it's a legendary MTV-era cathedral of sound and light where the "Daytona Dream" was born. But look closer. Beyond the 50,000 watts of bass and the ocean-view VIP decks, there is a new frequency vibrating through the salt air. In a city where the sun never sets on the party, the Daytona Dream Center is proving that the "girls of the nightlife" aren't just part of the scene--they are the scene's greatest untapped potential. The Vibe: Imagine the raw, unfiltered energy of 90s MTV Spring Break fused with a modern, high-glamour sanctuary. We came for lunch and honestly didn't want to leave. Our server Brooke was the kind of person who makes a restaurant great. Attentive, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we sat down. She had great energy and made our whole group feel taken care of without ever being intrusive. Ask for her if you can. The food was outstanding. We ordered the ahi tuna pizza -- a crispy flatbread topped with fresh raw tuna, avocado, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of spicy aioli and teriyaki glaze. It was stunning to look at and even better to eat. The blackened fish sandwich came loaded with fresh toppings and paired perfectly with the golden fries. The grilled chicken tacos were generous and well-seasoned with a mango salsa on the side that really popped. We also got the coconut shrimp -- beautifully fried with a honey mustard dipping sauce -- and our little one loved the chicken bites and fries. Don't skip the gator bites either -- a true Florida experience, perfectly crispy and served with a honey mustard that kept us reaching for more. Everything tasted fresh, like it came straight off the boat. We toasted the afternoon with margaritas on the rocks and honestly couldn't imagine a better setting -- salt-rimmed cups, ocean breeze, the sound of waves just a few feet away. Yes, the prices are a step up, but when you factor in that you're sitting steps from the beach with food this fresh and a view like this, it's worth every penny. If you're passing through Daytona, make a point to stop in -- you won't regret it.

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. It wasn't the best it was OK. I don't think I would have it again, though the ambience, excellent this place is adorable. It's like a diamond in the rough. I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.
