Tried to get in several spots but there was no parking, or at least it was full on the beach side and seemed like no spots on the condo side. We finally got there one night and found a spot, and was told a 30 min wait. 12 mins later we were seated inside, in front of a huge projector showing body surfing. The waitress seemed pissed the entire time, and I think it was because she was running around non stop. Every refill or other request took 5 mins and then dessert was a 10-15 min wait. I got the hurricane Mac n cheese and it was amazing. I think 90% of people got crab legs so that's probably the thing to get. We tried the key lime pie and it was terrible. I came with my mother and we split two appetizers, the portions were very large! The two apps were enough for us and then some. The food tasted great, especially the jerk chicken on the salad!! Their drink menu was also very large so I'm thinking of returning for drinks some night soon. There was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and everything was very clean. They also had a daily surf report which I thought was cute. Our waiter was very nice and so was the host, he didn't miss a beat. Sat the bar and enjoyed some food & drink NYE afternoon. Overall the experience was ok, there aren't a ton of options in Ormond Beach. Restaurant is large & has two bars, place was clean. I wasn't thrilled with the bucket cocktail or margarita I ordered, but the garlic parm oysters were SO delicious! I would go back again for those 100%. Fish & tortillas of my fish taco were overcooked & a little chewy. Food & drink service was slow, we had to ask for silverware long after our food arrived. The staff said it was a very busy day for them. Staff was a bit rough around the edges & clearly didnt want to be there, and we could easily overhear the manager scolding his waiters to check on their tables. Although you would think of this place as a tourist magnet... After all they do fly a banner over the beach every day advertising live music and all you can eat shrimp... It usually has a good mix. As vacationers in ormand beach, we live to put a stop into Riptides every time. We have never been disappointed. Catch of the day was grouper and it was wonderful and plentiful. We came here this time because we had a coupon for All you can eat crab legs. What? OK, we will get our money's worth. The parking situation has changed a bit. Valet for everyone. The other dish has 5 clusters of crab legs. WOW. My wife went to town on those legs immediately. She tore up the first cluster before I got into my meal. My god. My meal was so filling and rich. I was halfway finished, and I was full. My wife was through the 3rd cluster and still going. I finally finished my meal and couldn't eat another bite. 4 clusters down and still trying to finish the order. Just then, another crab leg order shows up. OMG. There's just no way to finish all this food. They were not kidding. All you can eat is real. Well worth the price. Everything was fantastic. My grouper was big and flavorful.
