Very disappointed with our visit. Came in with two elderly people and sat inside. Service was terrible. Bartender and waitress didn't work for us. Waited an hour for the food. French fries were cold but the sandwich was done perfect. I wonder if service inside is worse. We usually eat outside and never had this kind of service. It's now 8:30pm and trying to pay my bill plus it's empty now inside. I love the Fish Reuben here but with cold fries wasn't a good combination. We had a good meal at Off the Hook. The house smoked brisket was great and served in a taco worked well. The trigger fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned just enough so it was not too spicy. Our waitress was great and was there right when we needed her. My only criticism is that the hostess was moving a bit slow and had an attitude. There were at least 6 clean tables open, no line, and she was very slow to get people seated. Used to be my favorite place. Food was SO late (about an hour to get our food) and cold. We had a party of 8 on an early Thursday 5:00 pm sitting. Party of 10 came in 30 min after us and got served way ahead of us. Same thing for another party of four after us getting served way first. Then the real kicker was the automatic tip of 24+% on our bill already included - you might not see it (if you don't calculate it yourself you would never know it's 24%). Waiter was just fine but not an automatic 24% fine! Then an additional 3% if you use a credit card. Manager knocked 15% off our bill for the slow service and gave us some extra warm fries (too late), but that didn't really fix things, especially my cold and tiny grouper sandwich that I didn't eat. I loved the patio and island vibes at this restaurant! The menu had good variety, I got the House Salad with Grouper on top which was tasty. If you sit on the patio, WATCH OUT FOR NO SEE UMS. We stopped in for a late lunch and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere overlooking the inlet--it was the perfect spot to unwind. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We tried the crab and shrimp dip, which was definitely different than expected--it had more of a chowder-like consistency--but the flavor was great and surprisingly comforting. The salsa was on the runnier side and had a unique sweetness to it, which added an interesting twist. All in all, it was a pleasant meal with a beautiful view. We live in the area and really used to enjoy this restaurant. Had lunch there today- our server was very kind and efficient, waterfront atmosphere is amazing, food was less than impressive, and there was an obvious increase in food prices. The restaurant was not at all crowded, no one had food on the deck where we were sitting, and we waited about 35 minutes for food. The ladies restroom was disgusting! This place has been hit or miss since the new owners took over from the original Inlet Harbor. But tonight took the prize. We tried to place a take out order and the receptionist said they were too busy and said it might take 45 minutes. Before I had a chance to say ok, she said they wouldn't take the order. When I expressed my shock, she passed me off to a "manager", who was even more rude and he said that "it's the new policy" that if there's more than a 20 minute wait they aren't taking any take out orders. RIP-OFF !!! we ate there in July. Grandchildren had drinks in a souvenir , keepsake memento monkey head glass. Waitress charged $ 12 per refill of sprite. Refused to take any off bill. Recently went to grab a cocktail and drinks as a peaceful end to a great day at the beach. We came in around 4 and were seated quickly out back by the water. We were greeted quickly and shown the specials for the day. The waited had little ideas about what to get and the beer options were slim beyond regular colors light or miller light and the like. He made no other drink suggestions and we never saw a drink menu, which I thought was very odd because they are a waterside bar and restaurant. Our drinks were cold, the calamari and fish tacos were good, so we were overall happy. The nice surprise was the live music. Two ladies set up and we actually stayed longer to listen. We spent a nice morning at the beach. This is near, just three minutes from the inlet park. We love the fresh calamari. The option to seat outside along the river or a nice clean quiet inside seating. Our waitress was very attentive always checking in on us. bring fido told us about you. it was awesome, you brought our dogs water, and a biscuit. they loved it. we had this fabulous fish reuban. OMG it was delicious. onion rings, and also boiled shrimp just because. a couple of local friends said this was one of their spots they like to go to. I can see why. A giant blue heron stood not far and watched us dine. the staff was so friendly, and seated outside on a deck in the shade next to the bar was perfect. this is a big deck. After doing some touristy things in Ponce Inlet, we enjoyed a tranquil lunch with a table indoors in the cool A/C and a beautiful wide water view! Sadly the weather was gray and rainy so the usual treat of sitting on the deck and enjoying the intracoastal was not happening. Instead we focused on cold beer, super good oysters and some reds and fish for dinner. Server was super friendly and attentive and we enjoyed sitting indoors where it was DRY! Best around for fresh oysters.... Prefer the IROC's... fresh fish for blackened fish sandwich is a strong choice... steamed clams are also great. Cold beers and great rum runners with live music, make this a can't miss stop when in Ponce or by boat. read more

Waited over 10 minutes without being served, and a bartender noticed us and went to notify the hostess that we hadn't been waited on. Eventually a tall fellow in a green shirt showed up and took a drink order, and we ordered an appetizer of conch fritters. A few minutes later he returned to notify us they were out of the conch fritters (this was at 5:30 PM). We tried to order some fried oysters, but he informed us that the oysters could only be ordered raw (despite the menu featuring a fried oyster basket and a fried oyster po boy). So, we declined any appetizer. He returned a few minutes later with our drinks, asking if we wanted to order. Since we weren't able to order any appetizers, everyone in our group decided to rethink our orders, so we asked the server to give us "a couple of monutes". When he finally did return over 10 minutes later, we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. Throughout our interactions with the server, his attitude and demeanor were distant and disinterested. We couldn't comment on the food since we never got any. I ordered a sangria and asked the bartender, who was a very hateful woman, if she had white wine SANGRIA, she snorted at me that she had several then in a extremely hateful tone, asked which one I wanted. This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I ordered the seafood boil, which was supposed to include crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. What I got was a major disappointment--there was no seasoning, no crab legs, and the crawfish was absolutely disgusting. Since I was still hungry, I ordered a burger and specifically asked not to have fries. When the bill came, I was charged for fries anyway. I asked about it, and the waitress told me they charge for fries whether you get them or not. That makes zero sense, and it's something that should've been explained when I ordered. To top it all off, my total bill was $51, and I paid by card. I was planning to leave a cash tip, but they charged me $53 without telling me--before I even had the chance to leave the tip myself. The bathroom was dirty, the place was not well-kept, and the waitress was rude with a terrible attitude. Honestly, I was so mad I wanted to say something to everyone in there--but I'm working on myself and decided to walk away instead. Would never go back. 0/10. Avoid this read more

Off the hook is hidden back off the road off of the inlet which makes it accessible for boat's. I am always on the hunt for great local seafood restaurants that give me that at home local feel. Entry was a little odd and not overly welcoming. But that's okay we sat outside under a covered deck which was loud. I was hoping for some live music but there wasn't, could have been the time of day we went. The weather was perfect even in the middle of July. Service was quick and our server was great no complaints. I wish we would have had more of the view of water instead of the corner of the bar and the exit door. Mahi sandwich was good but I'd probably skip on the fries next time. My boys seemed happy with what they got but I'd recommend the peel and eat shrimp over the grilled. Flaming colada was delicious!
