The service here is great! It's a nice, cozy, outside restaurant with really delicious brunch and dinner menus. The cucumber lemonade is a really refreshing non- alcoholic drink, and I really loved it. The Fromage & and Fruit Board is a truest incredible mix of fruit, nuts, cheese, and even chocolate. We met up here tonight with friends we hadn't seen in years--between COVID, moves, and life just getting in the way--and honestly, we couldn't have picked a better place to reconnect. This spot has always held great memories for all of us, whether together or separately, and we were hoping it would still feel the same. It absolutely did. Since it was a Monday night, it was nicely relaxed--not too crowded--and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. We grabbed a table right by the bar in the open-air section, and everything about it was just perfect. The weather cooperated (low humidity for the win!), and the setting felt like a little tropical escape. Between the pergola, Bimini-style covers, and all the lush greenery, it honestly felt like dining in a beautiful garden. Our server was fantastic--patient, attentive, and genuinely kind--even as we got caught up in nonstop conversation and took our time ordering. Never once felt rushed, which made the night even more enjoyable. When we finally ordered, the food did not disappoint. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There are so many great options on the menu that everyone at the table left happy (and already talking about what to try next time). Last night had a relaxing outdoor meal at Third Wave. This is our go-to place whenever we get a chance while visiting central Florida. Started with the beet salad with strawberries and balsamic vinaigrette dressing shared with 3 of us. Entrees were Alaska King salmon, safe catch snapper and the special curry shrimp with blackened salmon. All three were cooked to perfection and the curry was superb. Service is always great and wait time is about what you expect even when the place is busy. You owe yourself a treat and make the trip to New Smyrna to experience this gem. On final note we had a simple Riesling with our meal, but the wine list is quite good and includes vintages from domestic and foreign sources with a good selection of varietals. I had the pleasure of meeting my niece here for a weekday brunch. The setting alone earns this cafe 5 stars. We walked into a lush entranceway and I enjoyed being greeted by the rooster. The patio setting is beautifully decorated with lush plants all around. It was hard to decide what to order since everything on the menu looked delicious. I ordered the frittata, which comes with seasonal fruit. While it was tasty, it could have used a bit more flavoring. The fruit was a nice addition. My niece ordered the garden crepe, which was delicious. The coffee options were limited that particular day (only drip coffee was available). The service was spot on and the staff were attentive. Another great experience in NSB this week was at Third Wave with Drew as our server. This was my first time here and it did not disappoint, I can't wait to go back when I'm there in August. We sat outside and there were plenty of fans and enough shade for it to be comfortable even in the July afternoon. I love that so many places in NSB have mocktails on the menu, but Third Waves cucumber lemonade took the cake. It was so delicious and not too sweet. For meals our table ordered the huevos rancheros, pancakes, and south west hash. It was all amazing but the winning dish was the huevos rancheros, it had so much flavor in every bite but those beans are drool worthy. Yum! read more

I always stop in the upstairs coffee shop when in town but this time decided to have brunch in the beautiful courtyard restaurant. As it was my birthday, we started with champagne and they had watermelon juice, which I LOVE and can never find. Both my friend and I had the spinach crepes. She added grilled chicken to hers and I added blackened chicken. It was absolutely delicious and though I tried my best, I couldn't finish the large portion. I came here solo for breakfast and sat at the bar. The weather was really nice outside. This place was busy and it is clearly a popular spot for brunch. The brunch menu had a little bit of everything. I opted for the basic breakfast and an espresso martini (or three). Drinks were great and food was well prepared and arrived in a timely manner. The service staff was very friendly and even gave recommendations of other places to visit during my stay (including trying them out for dinner). A repeat visit to what was our 125th Diners Drive-Ins and Dives stops last year...Third Wave in New Smyrna Beach. Last year was breakfast, today was a supper visit. Terri was thinking Chicken or a Burger and ended going for her second burger of the day...the Chefs Double Prime Smashburger...a good choice. I was struggling between either a Shrimp dinner or an Octopus version...at the recommendation of Hailey (if I remember correctly) our server (who was also there last year at our 125th stop) I went with the Galician Pulpo (Forno Oven Roasted Octopus) dinner and it was very good!!! The ambiance...outside. There are tons of canopy covers and lights and shade, but it is outside. This place could be in a backyard shed and I'd go back. The service was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable, BUT the food. The food was so unique and carefully constructed. We got some date night appetizer that was mascarpone and dates and this homemade bread with other stuff that I have no idea what it was other than delicious. I think my husband would have licked the bowl had we been at home. We also got the red snapper smoked fish dip with a chip/cracker that was similar to an Indian food I've had. This was served with jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickle chips. It was amazing!! Then we got a pizza that had burrata on top in the center, but it also had deliciously rich tomato sauce, pesto, and balsamic reduction. It was great!!! This is a Must-Go type of place. read more

All right, finally time to leave a review of this glorious place. Honestly, this has to be one of my favorite places to eat, and I am a total foodie. Every time, it is always cooked to perfection and the service excellent. They offer everything from brunch in the mornings/early afternoons to dinner at night. Last night, I was craving something refreshing with the hot/humid weather, so I asked for a Mojito and was pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed the light watermelon flavoring. My other go-to drink here would be an Espresso Martini or whatever the bartenders recommend because it's always fantastic. For food, we were in more of a "munchie" mood so we got the special, a board basically as a deconstructed Rueben, but so much more than that! The serving was huge, could easily feed a few people. Corned beef still on the bone, tender and juicy. Dijon mustard and thousand island for dipping. Along with Saurkraut and Rye bread, of course. In addition, they added some Red Dragon Cheese, which tasted buttery with mustard seeds, delicious pairing with everything else. I would definitely re-order this special if they ever have it again. Ah, and the service. Walking in we were greeted and sat right away, very unusual as this place normally always has a wait- especially on a Friday night. Our Bartenders got us drinks and put the food order in right away as well. Checked on us several times, and made one of those recommendation drinks that tasted really good. Great service - Hostess was wiping a table when we arrived, and someone else immediately addressed us letting us know she'd be right over. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Food - Excellent for the most part. My Garden Crepe was very flavorful would recommend. My side was a nicely prepared salad. My wife had the southwest hash, which was good, however I feel there was less care in the preparation as she ordered the optional half avocado ($2 up charge) and much of it was brown. The drip coffee is strong but high quality. We would have had an espresso drink, but the cafe is down for renovations. Fantastic shaded outdoor seating with fans. Bathroom could use a better clean inside and the doors. I realize they have workers there for renovations, but this can't be an excuse. Overall a great experience. 4.25 stars. read more

My daughter ordered ribs , received 4 ribs with barely any meat and 3 pieces of asparagus. for $48. Another family member, diabetic, was literally shaking waiting for food. No bread offered. Ordered lobster bisque soup, one all piece of lobster in the middle, $16. I don't mind paying for a nice dinner , but i do mind paying and waiting 2hrs for lousy food. We will not be going back. You feel like you are walking into a secluded hideout as you walk towards the back and become engulfed in all of the greenery. The vibe is super laid back, kid and dog friendly, both of which I adore. My food was amazing, I wanted to eat so many things on the menu but the ladies and I split the pizza Bianca which was delightful. We devoured in a quick fashion. This was our first visit to Third Wave for dinner. Their breakfast/brunch is awesome, though you may have to wait. The patio is so warm and cozy. It was a cold night, but they have plenty of heaters. The food was excellent. I only had one complaint--my husband I were out for a rare treat: date night, but in spite of other open tables, we were sat next to a group of men who were about 4 drinks deep already. They weren't rowdy, but were loud, making conversation, and our time, a little less intimate. But I could have spoken up, so I suppose I'm more frustrated with myself. Everything else was amazing. It was about 8pm on a Friday night. There was no wait, but the patio was about 95% full. So there were times when I just couldn't hear--the server or my husband. OK, a little context. We went here in January and it was uncharacteristically freezing in Florida and very characteristically raining! That said, we definitely didn't sit outside! We went upstairs to the dining room and were immediately greeted and seated. We were the only ones there at the time, and we found out shortly after that they had decided to close early due to the weather. But they welcomed us in and we had an incredible meal there! here's what we had: We started with the Char-Roasted Brussels - sprouts, honey, chili and cheese. How can you possibly go wrong here? Right, you can't. We ate every last leaf. Delicious. I got the Wagyu Short-Rib which is a bougie take on grandma's pot roast. Except that if grandma had made this, she'd be the chef at this place. SO GOOD. My daughter got the Creste de Gallo which is a seafood feast in a delicious veggie, butter and pasta pilaf arrangement - she didn't share it with us... My wife got a salad (the self named Third Wave Salad) that she loved and also got the Chef's Pastrami Pie pizza. DEAR LORD. That smoked brisket on there is 150% legit. Wow. That was some of the best BBQ za I've ever had. We all split a piece of their tres leches cake for dessert and rounded out an incredible meal.
