They also have local honey, elderberry syrup, spices, sauces and olive oil direct from a farm in Italy. They have lots of superior cuts of meat from local farms. The animals are fed grass and other feed but not soy or corn. While I was browsing in the store, customers kept coming in to buy the milk. Apparently the cows are calving and can't be milked for two weeks so they have a temporary halt on selling milk. That is kinda sweet. Another lady was saying she could not get over the taste on the chicken breasts. I do remember the chicken comes from a farm near Dover, Florida. So I bought a dozen eggs which were large sized and had a brown shell. While more than organic store brand they were very fresh. I also bought a couple pieces of chicken and it did have a great taste. The Burlap and Barrel spices I love were the same prices I pay online without a shipping charge. This is a cute clean store. The owner told me the building is older and was previously a duplex and a pawn shop. I said I wondered why you had the bars on the windows "like someone is going to make off with your steaks." Haha. If you are what you eat, this store helps you invest in your health.

For a bucket of raw oysters makes this place the most affordable place to get oysters. With your oysters. You get a bag of crackers and your own personal shucker. We've had the same server the last two times and I'm kicking myself for not knowing her name. But she is awesome. She does a great job of getting all of the oysters out of the shells and record time and she is always chatting with us. In addition to the bucket of oysters, we have also tried the fried oysters and the seafood boil. Fried oysters but the seafood boil was delicious. If you want they also have other menu options if you're not craving oysters. Our last visit I found a big Pearl and one of my oysters which is a rarity. So I felt very lucky. Lucky that I didn't chip my tooth from chomping on it. LOL They do have two types of hot sauces and can give you butter if you'd like some. They also give you horseradish to go with your oysters. Sadly, they did not have any soy sauce. Don't judge. If you're craving oysters at a reasonable price, head down to Lee and Rick's oyster bar. And get there before the rush from the tourists who go to the parks nearby.

I contacted Eric on the recommendation of my Aunt and am sure glad I did. I had been trying for months to get a catering company that would listen to what we needed and make a custom menu for under 5k. These guys did just that. What we ended up with was three entrees (salmon, alfredo, and jerk chicken), roasted veggies, salad of our choice and rolls. When I had reached out to competitors, the most we could get was a salad and chicken. That was of course before up charges and requiring things such as a buffet lead server per hour which put it most times in the $4500-5500 range when the dust settles. E and A did all that was mentioned for the out the door cost for meal, serving, and bartender of $3200 and we had plenty of extra so the relatives could take home. Another option they let us take care of is the purchasing of the alcohol and the garnishes. This was wonderful as we knew exactly what we wanted for our custom bar menu and this saved us again at least 2k in costs compared to others. Looking at my costs for it, we spent $900 for all of the needed components and not one catering offered for us to do this for less than 2k and that's before the hourly charge for the bartender. E and A didn't do this nickel and dime like tactics and it worked out great as we were able to get a bulk discount through Total Wine. Now the important part, the day of food, service, bartending, and communication throughout. The crew arrived early and were on top of it from the get go. If you ever want to feel stressed, plan a wedding. Our venue gave us a quick set up time before the downbeat of the ceremony, however, this didn't phase them. I could tell from the get go they were confident in their own abilities and got to work. Upon arrival Aaron told me that his Jerk Chicken was the thing of legend. Now most times, you hear that sort of thing and think, "Ya, sure!" But let me tell you by the end of the night, it was. My family is still talking about it weeks later. During the event both of the guys made sure both my wife were at ease and well fed through out. This was a concern coming into the day and it was a non issue, they checked in with us multiple times throughout the night and made sure we were well feed with food, appitizers, and drink. This was a game changer and I cannot thank them enough. Then enter stage right, Ms Karina. Karina the bartender was great and a great sport all night as I'm sure my family reminded her, "Did you know that the bride's name is Katrina, that's almost like Karina!" i digress though were she came in was in her mixology. Karina knew her stuff and made wonderful drinks for all and took every order in stride to our multiple mixed drink menu. However, this is not where that story stops, towards the end of the night Karina was cleaning up and my groomsman and close friends all wanted a picture with the married couple as well as doing a shot with all. Karina could tell we were excited and offered to pour the drinks for us but also volunteered to be the defacto photographer for the moment as our photographer had already left. What resulted was one of my favorite group of pictures from the night and I'm forever grateful for Karina being up for anything. Last but not least Chef Eric and Chef Aaron provided the highlight of our night and surprisingly it didn't involve the food. About midway through the night as the dancing started to die out a bit, Aaron and Eric took maters into their own hands. They had the DJ queue up a song and led upwards of 50 people in a dance. It kept the vibes high and is something that was no where in their job description but is something we'll always remember. If you don't believe me, please check out a short video of this happening in real time provided by our dj. All this is to say if you need catering, look no further. Now I just need to get some more of that Jerk Chicken come Christmas time for 10-15 of us. Thank you E and A crew! https://youtu.be/daJ4BnJifCw?feature=shared

Now we wanted to get the day started early for my birthday so we can go to all the excursions we had planned. It was a little confusing because it's no instructions and it wasn't anyone standing to assist you by the counter so we asked customers on how to be seated? They instructed us to choose a table and then someone will come out to help you. So we decided to sit by the pool area so we could view the beautiful water because we were on the beach side. The wait wasn't long after we all sat down. We started off with a cup of Starbucks coffee and fruits. We then ordered the American Breakfast which consisted of of 3 eggs , bacon , sausage, potatoes and toast. When I tell you the eggs were cooked to perfection. The bacon was cooked just right and not over crispy and it had like a maple taste. The sausage links were good but if it was my choice I would have had more bacon. The toast was sourdough bread which I love the taste of toasted sourdough with some cream cheese. The breakfast was really good. The price range was very decent for a hotel restaurant because they usually overcharge you but it was around $8-$19. They also had apple, grape and grapefruit juice. Will I try another hotel restaurant yes because I gave the experience a second chance which turned out to be very good.
