We came for lunch and honestly didn't want to leave. Our server Brooke was the kind of person who makes a restaurant great. Attentive, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we sat down. She had great energy and made our whole group feel taken care of without ever being intrusive. Ask for her if you can. The food was outstanding. We ordered the ahi tuna pizza -- a crispy flatbread topped with fresh raw tuna, avocado, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of spicy aioli and teriyaki glaze. It was stunning to look at and even better to eat. The blackened fish sandwich came loaded with fresh toppings and paired perfectly with the golden fries. The grilled chicken tacos were generous and well-seasoned with a mango salsa on the side that really popped. We also got the coconut shrimp -- beautifully fried with a honey mustard dipping sauce -- and our little one loved the chicken bites and fries. Don't skip the gator bites either -- a true Florida experience, perfectly crispy and served with a honey mustard that kept us reaching for more. Everything tasted fresh, like it came straight off the boat. We toasted the afternoon with margaritas on the rocks and honestly couldn't imagine a better setting -- salt-rimmed cups, ocean breeze, the sound of waves just a few feet away. Yes, the prices are a step up, but when you factor in that you're sitting steps from the beach with food this fresh and a view like this, it's worth every penny. As for the salad, Ceasar dressing with fresh looking romaine lettuce was great. The grilled salmon had nice grill marks but the flavor was flat. No real taste or seasoning on this piece of fish. Sorry but not liking this order. Then on top of that the service was lacking. Three times I had to wave down our server to get refills of drinks. Three to many times. This was recommended to us by our Uber driver. It has signs that it's the #1 beach bar. We sat outside on the little deck to enjoy the sunset. There was live music that they piped to the outside as well. Food was just ok. I had coconut shrimp. The main draw was the party buckets of drinks. A great deal to share with one or two other people. Wasn't very strong but was tasty. We only went inside to use the restroom before leaving and it is very much a dive bar. Came in on a Thursday night very late and as I walked into the downstairs area I was immediately serenaded by the lovely saxophone and dance moves of a live musician and band, jamming over "play that funky music". The fries were okay but after the first few bites they got cold and unappetizing. After, Gram asked if I wanted the check and I said no, I want the menu! On Saturday, I went to The Ocean Deck Restaurant and Beach Bar. This is one of my go-to spots. I usually come here about once a month to enjoy lunch by the beach while listening to locals sing karaoke. Everyone is always so supportive, whether someone can sing or not, which makes the whole experience even more fun. The drinks are always great, and the vibe is just perfect. As for the food, we always order the wings and fries, they're that good! I've never felt the need to try anything else because the wings hit every time. The best part, though, is that as soon as you step out, you have direct access to the beach. There's nothing better than finishing a meal and walking straight onto the sand. read more

We met friends here earlier this week, for drinks, and a later lunch. We sat in the downstairs/beach access area - you can easily walk out to the beach, feel the warm breeze, and hear the ocean. A few minutes after sitting down, we also noticed there was live music inside on the stage, which was really fun. Our server came over and took our drink order (I started with a margarita), which wasn't bad, little on the sweeter side, but what I would expect at a beach bar. For lunch, I had the fish tacos, which came with grilled fish, in flour tortillas covered with lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and fresh mango salsa on the side. There was also island rice as a side, and rasta ranch sour cream that was also on the side, and great for adding to the tacos. Highly recommend the tacos - they came three to a plate, and I was very full without finishing the entire plate. They were also very flavorful/tasty. I love ocean deck every time I have friends come visit me from Denver. They insist on going the ocean deck that our friends have told them about. The food is great. The service is great. Did a day trip to Daytona trip with two other girlfriends and decided to stop at Ocean Deck for lunch. It was a perfect day to sit outside and see the beach goers. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive even though the place was getting packed. The food was pretty good. We ordered apps and salad for our lunch! Portions were good. Every dish hit the spot for us! Salad was nothing special, but the seasoning on the shrimp was good, the grouper bites were fried perfectly (not dried at all), and the shrimp quesadillas was the best out of the three. We come here whenever we are in the area. I've been coming here from literally 40 years and they never disappoint. We happened to catch them on a Sunday afternoon in time for their karaoke afternoon. It had been raining so it was packed out, and people were having a grand old time. Our friend, that that has lived in Florida almost all his life had never been to Ocean Deck. So of course we had to share our favorite Beach bar. And come to find out are nationally ranked as number one now! Yay! His test of any beach bar is their grouper or mahi sandwich... He said it was cooked perfectly, although it would have been nice to have been able to get the bun toasted, and the french fries did not have a coating were thin, but not shoestrings. We got the crispy tuna which is our favorite appetizer. Used to be called tuna nachos and I think people couldn't wrap their hand around the fact that it Is not a pile of chips. Found two amazing restaurants on this trip to Florida and this was one of them. Was here Wednesday night of Bike Week 2025. Walked down here around 8pm from the Hilton nearby, don't stay there it's awful, and was able to sit at the bar with no wait. In fact we were the first to sit at the bar but it slowly filled in as we dined. The Yelp reviews said that the blackened mahi tacos were amazing but I couldn't find them on the dinner menu. They are on the lunch menu and they are happy to serve you from the lunch menu at dinner time so if you're looking for some items mentioned in reviews, ask for the other menu! Speaking of the blackened mahi fish tacos they were absolutely amazing and the mango chutney paired so well. But the star of the show was the gator bites! Get the friggin gator bites, I would get two order next time as my dinner. They were lightly fried, juicier than a chicken finger, and paired so well with the honey mustard. The fries were pretty good and the drink pours were big! Ask for Marianne as she was an amazing bartender and server. The ambiance is really cool. We couldn't see the ocean but we could see kids running on the beach. They have two all genders bathrooms, one close to the bar and the other by the door. Funny story people accidentally lock the door when they exit so if you're waiting and don't see anyone, ask the bartenders to check...they did in our circumstance and it was locked with no one inside! read more

I've seen great places going down just because the location is so great that owners loose interest in keeping up the menu, the kitchen or the serving. Probably the Ocean Deck will do good anyways, since there is quite a high turnover of tourists that crave for a beer while having the feet in the sand (or sorta). But the food at the Ocean Deck is fabulous. I got just the "Crunchy Tuna" (see pic) but it was ao yummy that I will come back from say 50 miles away just for this. The crunchy tortilla chips are so great... they will make my blood sugar monitor yell at me but... well worth it! Great cozy armosphere with dimmed lights (not to bother the turtles laying eggs I guess), with nice servers and great beer selection. And of course... unbeatable location! Love it! Ocean Deck is our favorite beach bar. We are part time residents and go to Ocean Deck every time we're in town, often more than once per visit. It's fun to sit on the deck and listen to music or come up from the beach for a drink and some fries.
