Oh My Yum! The oysters are absolutely delicious!!! I love oysters, and unfortunately, good oysters are hard to find. Needed to take off the tummy burn and decided to stop in here. I've had so many disgusting oysters up here in the northeast Florida area, it isn't even funny! I did have some trepidation about trying them here, but what the heck? Let me tell you...it was love at first bite! Those Chargrilled Oysters are over the moon delectable! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I highly recommend them!!! Oh my goodness! OK, so there is more than just the Chargrilled Oysters, they have several different oysters on their menu. I'd like (and plan) to go back to try a few others. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, and although they were decent, I can't recommend those. Please note: I like the traditional Oysters Rockefeller, and I completely understand places putting their own spin on the recipe to make it their own. These had too little cheese and spinach and too much breading (or panko) or something on them that was just not what I/we expected, and it was a little tasteless (to us) and dry. But hey, it may be your thing, it just wasn't mine/ours. If you are like us and expect them to be a certain traditional way, pass on them here instead of being disappointed. In addition to oysters, they have a wonderful menu with several other options to fit anyone's palate. Shrimp, burgers, steaks, salads, etc. There is also a bar, and they have happy hour. The cheese curds were pretty dag gone good...and they heat the marinara as it should be (cold sauce is gross)--simply perfect! I almost forgot to mention they have awesome sweet tea too! The inside is very welcoming. It's a sports bar, but it's like a sports bar on steroids. There are monitors everywhere, and every booth has its own monitor as well. How groovy is that? The service was wonderful. Our main server, Jenna, was delightful. However, there seems to be a team that attends to you. The ladies who bring out the food and refill the drinks are always on top of things. They definitely have their groove on when it comes to your needs. I/we never had to ask for anything, nor go on the disappearing server hunt. Great experience. The prices are fair and the portions are ample. The Oyster Pub is our go-to for both raw oysters and chargrilled oysters. (Note: I don't eat them, but hubs, sister-in-law and granddaughter have all declared them delicious!). This is definitely a sports bar - LOTS of TVs and on game days it can be a bit too noisy for deep conversation but...it IS a sports bar so that's to be expected. Good selection of beer both on tap and bottled. The buffalo shrimp and coconut shrimp are also good. Dear Jeff was back behind the bar as in previous visits. We began today with calamari...I included the picture from today as well as that from 5 months ago when last we visited. Quite honestly we were both appalled and mentioned it to Jeff as well as showing the pictures. GM Mary was mortified upon viewing the pictures too...so she took it off our tab. So after perusing the menu, my dear Maine-raised Queen Bee finally chose to have a dozen raw oysters, which we split. Well: it ain't the GROUPER Pub or the SPAGHETTI Pub, after all. Man alive, if I were headed to Old Sparky or the gallows, this would be my appetizer, and I mean it. Even before the oysters got here and Jeff put out the ice tray...wow! That briny bouquet and the real deal horseradish...then came our bivalve bounty! This stuff slapped on a saltine is better than winning the Irish Sweepstakes! Keeping with the shellfish theme: QB then ordered firecracker shrimp tacos, and I a shrimp platter. The latter is a dozen freshly floured prawns with slaw, fries and a pair o' pups. I didn't even get a bite of hers; she loved 'em that...damn...much. Highly flavorful with a bite, she said. My shrimp platter was also quite nice: well fried, delicate and totally fresh. Fries prepared as I like: no salt. Even the hush puppies were nicely done. Slaw was not too sweet with a crisp texture. I was initially gonna give this outing a generous 3 star rating and have done with it. However after Jeff and Mary took ownership of things, I figured I should hold off a little. Well once you get past the miserable older lady at the tshirt shop you will have an enjoyable visit. The foods good and so is the nice waitress. Unfortunately the miserable lady at the T-shirt shirt booth for some reason mumbled profanity as she seated my family and me. Wow I asked her if she had a problem and she confirmed to me mumbling explicit words my 7 year old ask why she was so angry I said she needed anger management. our waitress wasn't mentally unstable so good to us I asked her why she treated us so bad she said if I had a dollar for everyone who questioned her why the T-shirt lady cursed her customers she'd be rich she's crazy. Updating my review from almost 10 years ago, and the oyster pub has just gotten better with time! With a refreshed, clean makeover the inside is now perfect for families, date nights and even parties (they have a huge room for rentals). The chargrilled oysters have stood the test of time and we've tried from locations all over Florida and none have topped these! All of their food is delicious, but particularly the wings and seafood. Came in with a large party unannounced and they said they were able to accommodate us, while it was quite awkward our server said there should be two people on this party and her being to busy to get a candle for my sisters birthday at the end, she did get us all the food and everything worked out, we had a great time but it was super awkward at some points where the restaurant said we were good to come in but then made us feel like we were a bother, oysters were great, hush puppies were outstanding, but paid for a side of brussel sprouts and got 6 brussel sprouts cut in half aka 3 full brussels for a premium side of like $7 that was ridiculous, wings were alright server asked grilled and we said sure and it was a $2 upcharge ended up being $20 for 10 wings, i don't think it was the servers fault what so ever she did everything she could but if management accepts a party that is going to be spending a very large amount of money they should accommodate for it. read more

There was plenty of 2 hour parking on the street, near the beach, in front of the restaurant. The place is HUGH, so lots of seats, booths and barstools around the bar. Plenty of tvs, including at your table. We kicked things off with a dozen plump oysters ($23 mkt) to start. The Fried Shrimp Platter ($22) had big shrimp and was not saturated in batter! We also tried the Impossible Burger ($17) which was a good size burger that filled the bun. Stopped by The Oyster Pub while in Daytona and wow -- the charbroiled oysters were on a whole different level. They're topped with Parmesan cheese and cooked perfectly... rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Easily the standout dish for me. I also tried the raw oysters. They were fresh and not fishy at all, but I'm just not a fan of the "snot" texture -- that's a personal thing, not a quality issue. If you're on the fence, skip straight to the charbroiled oysters.
