Brickyard Lounge and Grill has been a Daytona Beach mainstay, but recently they announced they will be closing this location. Hopefully, they will find a new address soon enough and continue to be a part of the Daytona landscape. I have always enjoyed the Brickyard Lounge and Grill. It was a good place to gather with friends for a few cold drinks and just chill. The service was always friendly enough and i will miss here. We stopped in 2 weeks ago around noon on Sunday for lunch. The Brickyard has been on our "must try" list for quite sometime. We ordered the cheeseburger (medium rare) and some wings. The burger was definitely a little too much on the rare side but the wings and fries were cooked to perfection. Little did we know, this classic Daytona destination, would be closing/relocating 2 weeks after our lunch. We hear they're on the lookout for a new location. Perhaps going into Mr Dunderbacks when they relocate to Beach St in March 2026 may be an option? No matter what, or where, we'll be going to their new location and trying the burger again (medium next time) and some more wings and fries! I've heard of this place for years. I finally go for dinner and guess what? They are closing for food. The place was full. Not a seat available after we were seated. The burger is the thing here. There were all different kinds of people there. Young, old, race folks. Many of them looked like regulars. We were 4 people in our group. We had a great waitress. She took good care of us. She took our order. We all ordered the Brickyard Burger, with fries. I ordered onion rings. Everything came out pretty quick. My burger was good. I got it with cheddar cheese. Everyone said that their food was good. The price was right. The service was excellent. Everything was better than expected. It's too bad that this was the end of the road for this place. Ok so after our first visit and no so great experience we chose to give them a second try after all the fries are great and the ambiance is nice. Burgers were cooked as requested but the meat just had no taste to it and we both felt that way. Service was great but I won't drive out of my way for their burger for sure. Oh parking can get touchy at times but I wish them luck on finding a good tasting burger. read more

So happy to see this local icon reopen! Walking inside, we could tell the new owners took great care to keep the Brickyard true to its roots. The interior is well lighted and clean. We sat at a high top for four and had plenty of room. We ordered drinks and nachos as an appetizer. Our four meals consisted of two Brickyard burgers, BLT on Rye, and a new item, a Philly Cheesesteak. We all enjoyed our meals and found the portions to be well prepared and very generous. This place is very unique. It is an a frame building on very narrow. Bar and kitchen was on side and seating tables on the other Place is known for its burgers. Candyce tried the burger. There is single patty 1/2 lb or double patty full pound. Comes with fries cole slaw and pickle. I got a pastrami rueben and upgraded the fries to onion rings. What was great was candyces pickle and coleslaw came on my basket. She doesn't like them. I told the waitress this when we order Place is unique. Service great. Went as a party of three on July 20, 2024 at about 7pm. Two adults and one five year old. Ordered the $20 burger and chicken tenders with mac and cheese . The two adults would share the big burger. The restaurant was less than half full. It took a long time for food to be cooked and served. The burger was well done but I ordered it medium. It was good though. The fries were hot as they should be. The chicken tenders were pretty basic but were ok. The mac and cheese looked and tasted like the Kraft box mac and cheese. With all the talk about the Brickyard I was not impressed overall. Our biggest concern was that we were followed in by a party of four adults about 10 minutes after we were seated and they were served appetizers long before we saw our meal. When we arrived at the Brickhouse after a recommendation for lunchtime burgers, we first didn't know what to make of the place. Was it a Sports Bar, a Biker Bar, or a Burger Joint? First thing through the door we were greeted by the scent of charred beef, and in the dim light we could see that the walls were lined with large big screen TV's all featuring different sporting events. As we took our seats at the counter and we could see what the people around us were ordering, hamburgers. Surprisingly, despite the crowdedness of the place it wasn't a loud place at all and after we ordered we could easily see why. The server was warm and friendly, cheerful even. We all ordered the hamburgers which came with the cheese of your choice, French Fries, and under the pile of fries, a small serving of Cole Slaw. My seat faced the grill and I could see the flames shooting out behind the counter. Our orders came quickly, a very nice touch especially during a crowded lunchtime. I also ordered a side of onion rings. Once the food was on our table the place got quiet, like real quiet because in front of us were large burgers, perhaps a third or half pound of nicely charred beef, excellently cooked as mine was exactly as ordered medium rare. From the first bite I could tell right away that this was no ordinary burger, but a juicy; melt in your mouth kind of burger, dripping with juices, as savory as could be. Thankfully there was a napkin holder strategically placed for each of us. After three or four bites, I dove into the French fries. They were hot, not scalding hot but almost, crispy the way I like them, and very well-seasoned. The onion rings were also well done as we all quietly noshed on the food before us. 15 minutes later we all came up for breath and all we could say was "WOW ~! The word we had received on Brickhouse regarding hamburgers was very spot on, in fact, I have to say that Brickhouse easily makes the best hamburgers in Daytona Beach if not all of Florida, it was that good. Brickhouse is a hole in the wall place with parking in the back. Don't be put off by the lack of outside ambiance, because once you enter its doors you will be very well rewarded. read more

Brickyard Lounge and Grill was good! We ordered a burger, a cheeseburger quesadilla and the chips and queso. Burger I thought was super juicy and flavorful, but my fiance said it was just ok to him. The fries that came alongside it were kind of gross and soggy though. I also found the tortilla chips to either be too fried or raw and oily in the middle. My quesadilla was good, but not revolutionary. The server was really nice. Quick with refills too. This feels more like a bar that serves food because the seating is limited to small two tops and a huge bar. I don't think I'd return but I don't regret the visit. read more

I love this place but I would avoid it if I was hungry... ... because I got there hungry, and the food took 45 plus minutes to get to the table! Matter of fact, the table next to me got up and left. I really had no other place to go, no plan B, so I waited a bit more and got my food, which ironically was a burger and some chicken wings. 45 minutes to make a burger? And the place is almost empty? Now, hear me out. I love places that employ senior citizens and teenagers, but at least have someone with common sense and customer service experience managing the place. Then again, it adds to the dysfunctional appearance and vibe of the place because this lounge is a whole experience, beginning with a tiny stretched out building that is tilted to the side like a leaning tower. Inside, it is dark and rundown, and everything looks like they got stuck in the 70's, man, I didn't know Nascar was that old. The service is pretty good but those waitresses are firecrackers. There's lots of touching and leaning on, laughter and screaming, you actually have to be part of the act and go a little crazy with them, if not you are going to feel out of place. Kids may be scared, they would probably confuse the staff with characters like Ursula or Maleficent. No kidding. If you have a fragile mental state, just call in and order to go. Which is a way better idea than waiting almost an hour for simple food. Oh! Yes! The food... I must say that even if the food doesn't look picture perfect, it is really good. It had lots of good flavor and it is edible... of course, with some hiccups... like getting a well done burger instead of medium burger, which the waitress was ready to snatch but I had to hold on to the plate and politely tell the waitress "I do not want to wait another 45 minutes". Yes... weird place, a joke, a nightmare, a warning for kids that do not want to go to school or enroll in college, and a good reminder to not do drugs and to put that bottle of liquor down. All I kept hearing in my ears were my friend's wisdom words "You're in Volusia County, Julio, you're in Volusia". I may visit again though... read more
