Solid throughout. We went on a busy night, sat at the bar and had a nice Pina colada during a short wait for a table. Seated outside, but that was ok on the overcast day, and not hot at all (and lovely views, of course). Waitress was very good, friendly and everything got served right and well. Small tip if you are into the fruity drinks--- they had special mugs and change-color plastic glasses for extra $.....but the drink amounts in those is larger than the regular. I paid an extra buck for the color-changing class and got a bigger drink. On to the food: we had clam chowder (good taste, according to the eater), fried calamari, peel and eat shrimp, and "crabby bites." I liked the taste of the small crab cakes, but the crab cake aficionado in the group did not (she has rarely said GOOD to any crab cakes outside of Maryland!). Peel and eat shrimp was quite good-- plain, without much spice added, but bigger than the shrimp at many places around here. Key lime pie was fine; not very tart but thick texture and filling, for sure. We thought/feared it might be more 'gimmicky,' given the name, but it was a solid seafood meal, for sure. Would gladly go back, if there weren't so many other great places along the coast! read more

Beautiful day out so we decided to go to Caribbean Jacks. Our server Caitlyn who we also had our last visit, was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We ordered the house margaritas which were very tasty. My husband ordered the jumbo fish sandwich blackened with fries. I ordered the jumbo fish sandwich fried with fries. My fried fish was huge so delicious! My husband said his was good but he tried mine and said the fried was better but thought he was eating healthier with the blackened. We sat outside on a beautiful Easter Sunday. Weather was perfect and love music was fantastic. First time visiting this restaurant and we will be back on our next trip to Daytona. I couldn't decide on what to get because there were a few that caught my eye. Appetizers- pretzel and ahi tuna. Both great but that tuna was yummy! Mahi BLT Fried fish and shrimp basket Grouper dinner with jacked potatoes and hush puppies. (This was mine and it great!) Shrimp Alfredo Dessert- banana foster Now, this is the first time I've had this dessert so I have no comparison but it was delicious. Odd thing to add but the vanilla ice cream was really good! We stopped by Caribbean Jack's in Daytona for lunch. Got immediate seating out on the deck with a great view of the Intercostal waterway. We ordered a couple of fish, Rubens with coleslaw and hush puppies. They were absolutely outstanding. I had a sweet Arnold Palmer and the server was very attentive checking on us and keeping my glass full. The sun was shining and it was 78°. This is a nice spot at the marina with good outdoor seating. The indoor decorations are nice as well, even the bathroom. The server was attentive, but several mistakes were made with our orders. It wasn't a big deal. It just seemed kind of like the attention to detail really wasn't there. And we were there during an afternoon lol so it wasn't like they had a lot going on. That being said, the food was decent, the portions reasonable, and it wasn't overly expensive. I think we'd probably come back and give them another try at some point. read more

Service was good and the waiter did a great job taking care of us. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich with a side salad. The salad was very fresh and yummy! The chicken sandwich was really yummy too, and the chicken was pretty juicy! I have mixed feelings about the large piece of chicken on the smaller bun, but that wasn't really a big deal. The only thing I really didn't like was how expensive everything is. I avoided getting most of the items on the menu because they were at least $20. 5/5 this restaurant was amazing from the online waitlist, to the service everything was incredible. EXTREMELY gluten free friendly. Our server was especially knowledgeable in ensuring our food was not cross contaminated with gluten as my boyfriend is celiac. The drinks were great and atmosphere and live music even better. Joey made my time an absolute delight! Excellent recommendations, a wonderful attitude, and really took care of me--especially in navigating the menu, which has so many unique dishes and options. I normally say "give me the works!" But I had a few specifications for my meal and Joey was so kind to tell me how to modify my meal to meet my dietary needs. He was not impatient with me but took the time to explain the different options and ensured that I had plenty of time to look over the menu and all my options and recommendations. I ended up with the scallop and shrimp with cavatappi pasta, which was delicious! The shrimp and scallops had a great texture to them, and the pasta and vegetables were a great match. I added the gator bites and they had some spicy seasoning and sauce that really hit the spot! The texture and flavor was really interesting and I enjoyed it tremendously! It paired extremely well with the different components. Finally, the bananas foster was absolutely, as Joey put it: "out of this world"! For one person, even as dedicated as I was, I couldn't quite finish the ice cream but I loved the depth of the hot syrup on the sides, the bananas, and the puff pastry worked together so well! I think 3-4 people would be just right for this dish . Great seafood restaurant in north Daytona Beach. wonderful selection of fresh seafood in a fun and festive setting on a marina. All of our generously portioned food was delicious and cooked perfectly. My wife had the salmon dinner served with dirty rice and perfectly cooked vegetables. I had the grouper sandwich with a generous portion of fishe served on a bun with again, perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. For dessert we had one of the best key lime pies I've had and gigantic split chocolate brownie with four scoops of vanilla ice cream in between the layers with whipped cream cream chocolate drizzled on top of the dessert and on the plate--needless to say it was out of this world and could easily serve 4 people! The service was warm, inviting and professional. This is the place that we go whenever we're in Daytona and we'll definitely be back. read more

I had seen this restaurant from the bridge on prior drives through Daytona Beach and decided to give it a try today for lunch. The outdoor space is great with wonderful views of the water. The menu offers about a dozen appetizers, four salads, burgers and sandwiches, tacos, and entrees. I chose the coconut crunchy shrimp salad. It came with six delicious coconut shrimp. The description on the menu also mentioned mixed greens topped with mango pineapple salsa, toasted coconut and house made croutons. However, there were no croutons on my salad. Got a delicious margarita for $7! I also have to give some huge applause at the peel and eat shrimp appetizer! Nothing makes me happier than when the shrimp is already deveined. When we arrived, the kind hostess said it would be a ten min wait, and we waited maybe two min. We were seated and given an exact amount of time to figure out drinks and our waitress Joy arrived. She is clearly a pro and did not keep us waiting, nor did she pester us. Drinks we had modified arrived promptly and our appetizers not long after. We had the pretzels and the gator bites. My daughter had never had gator and it was great! We both had pasta, the Jerk Chicken and the Chicken Alfredo. Pasta was al dente and chicken fresh. Jerk chicken had a little too much sauce and I was getting full so I didnt eat all of it but it was still great and Joy took it off my bill, we didnt even ask! Tried a new seafood place in Daytona!! We sat near the marina in a booth that swings and gives the impression you are on a boat! Super waitress, very helpful with menu choices!
