Fun place on Flagler beach . Started off with cocktails and fire cracker shrimp. The shrimp had. a delicious glaze not too spicy. Then off to a Cobb salad enough for Two. No need at add any protein . Between the hard boiled eggs, bacon and blue cheese there was enough protein. The portion was large. . When the key lime pie arrived our eyes widened at the size and presentation. This truly was enough for 4. Please try Tortugo's. You won't be disappointed Ted

Great food and service as usual. We sat outside in the sun, which made it just perfect weather to enjoy the beach across the street. Calamari is always delicious with the jalapeños in the bottom of the dip. Grouper sandwich was very nice and was actually ordered by the people next to us because they saw what my wife got and fell in love with it. I had these Flagler salad with the salmon and it was very filling and delicious. BTW the WiFi password is Tortugas16

Stopped in during our ride home from Orlando. Places look original FL so we stopped in. Excellent choice. Very attentive service. Drink menu was plentiful and selected ones were tasty and large. Banging ship appetizer was tasty and plentiful. Cobb salad and cali chicken sandwich were large portion and delicious. Dessert of key lime pie was higher and filled with flavor. Great view, good service and food... nothing more to ask.

I was driving home from Orlando via A1A and decided to stop at this place for a late lunch. It was a great decision. It is about a block south of the Flagler Beach pier and has a great location. There is a big outdoor seating area on the ground floor as well as an outdoor bar, and an upstairs seating area. The host asked me where I wanted to sit and I pointed to one of the nice blue outdoor tables. He said they were usually reserved for four people but because it was a slower time he would seat me there. I appreciated the gesture. My waiter, Jonathan, quickly came over to get my drink order and offer menu suggestions. He told me the firecracker tacos were his favorite item on the menu. I had already been considering this item so his recommendation solidified the deal. They were fantastic. The menu also offers plenty of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. Everything sounded good. This was my first time visiting but based on the food, service and ambiance, it probably won't be my last.

We stopped by Tortugas for lunch and everything we ordered was so good! We had the bacon-wrapped plantains, waffle burger, the Pauly Melt, and their fresh catch tacos--every single dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they put love into their food. The service was great--friendly and attentive--and the ambiance had a relaxed, coastal vibe that made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

We have been here several times and enjoyed ourselves. The bartender recognized us each time. Food is good and atmosphere is beachy.

Showed up 45 mins later, right at the time the food was supposed to be ready for pickup. When we arrived, they had not even started our food and said it would take another 15 minutes. Since we'd already paid, we decided to wait . 25 minutes it was finally ready. When we got to the hotel, it was apparent this was not authentic Jamaican food from the appearance alone. What was supposed to be red beans and rice was plain rice with a handful of green peas in it. The oxtails were tough and tasteless, the rice a mushy mess and the macaroni and cheese a gooey and bland. The sorrel and ginger drink tasted like gasoline- I have on idea what was in it. After paying a hundred dollars for two plates and two drinks, I was highly disappointed. I never expected to get this level of low quality food in Florida. The service was already bad - I would have forgotten that if the food were tasty. Instead it was just insult added to injury. What a waste of time and money!

Terrible Customer Service & Repeated Disrespect…read more Unfortunately, after multiple experiences here, I can no longer recommend or support this establishment. Being that Deltona does not have many Caribbean restaurants, my mother has continued trying to support this small business despite several issues with incorrect or incomplete orders over time. The biggest issue is not even always the food, it's the customer service from the man working the counter. Every single time we've had to address a missing item or incorrect order, he has been rude, dismissive, and disrespectful instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally. Today was the final straw. My mother waited over an hour for 3 orders, only to realize that part of the food she already paid for was missing. She then had to drive back to the restaurant to get the missing items. When I explained that it was unfair for her to wait an additional 25 minutes after already spending over an hour there, the employee immediately became defensive, cut us off while speaking, raised his voice, and was once again extremely disrespectful. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. This has become a consistent pattern every time there is an issue with an order. Customers should not be treated poorly simply for asking for the food they paid for or trying to correct a mistake. I truly wanted to support this business, but repeated bad experiences and unacceptable customer service have made that impossible. I will no longer be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Years later, and the food is still what keeps bringing us back!…read more My husband is on vacation this week, so we headed to El Pollo Colorao for lunch today as a party of four. We've been eating here for years, and while we love supporting local, enjoy the atmosphere, and have always found the staff friendly, let's be honest -- the food is why we keep coming back. We arrived around 1:30 and had two groups ahead of us at the counter, but the line moved quickly. In fact, there was a pretty steady line the entire time we were there, right up until we left around 2:30. Their takeout business was hopping too! Despite how busy they were, we had no problem finding a table in the dining room. I decided to branch out this visit and tried the #14 Pernil Sandwich with yellow rice. The sandwich has roasted pork and potato straws on their delicious bread, and my first comment after taking a bite was about how flavorful the pork was. It was tender and juicy, and I loved the contrast of the crunchy potato straws with the pork and that soft, slightly sweet bread. So good! Two people in our group ordered the #2 Tripleta, one with yellow rice and the other with yuca. The Tripleta is actually the favorite sandwich of all three of my family members. They love the combination of meats along with the crunch from the potato straws. My husband is normally firmly on Team Tripleta too, but decided to branch out and order the Mediodia this time. We were told when ordering that it would take about 30 minutes and were given the option to change his order, which I appreciated. He decided to wait and was glad he tried it. He enjoyed it, but since he tends to prefer savory over sweet, I have a feeling he'll be right back to his beloved Tripleta next time. And, as always, he got his favorite side -- the maduros. Yum! When everything was ready, they brought our food and drinks right to the table on a tray. The gentleman who took our order was very personable, and Abel came over to our table while we were eating. He recognized my husband and remembered his name -- which really impressed me considering it has probably been about a year since our last visit. And can we talk about the value? We spent about $60 for four meals with sides, three drinks AND a bag containing two loaves of their bread to take home. Yes, we buy the bread every time. It's that good. Even better, the portions are so generous that everyone took about half of their sandwich home for dinner. They definitely don't skimp on the meat here, so you fill up quickly. The dining area is comfortable and has some fun, whimsical artwork that gives the place plenty of personality. They also have a nice assortment of drink options and seating by the windows for customers waiting on takeout orders, which seems to help keep the dining tables available even when they're busy. After all these years and multiple visits, El Pollo Colorao continues to earn 5 stars from us. Great food, generous portions, good value, friendly people, and a locally owned restaurant we're happy to continue supporting.
