Our servers name was Greg; he knew everything about the menu and gave honest suggestions. We opted for the chef's 5-course tasting menu ($85). The portions are smaller, each dish is thoughtfully crafted and surprisingly filling. The drinks are easily some of the best I've had. Sitting at the chef's table added a unique, interactive element to the evening and felt like great value for the price. The only area that didn't quite match the rest was the ambiance, which could use a bit more effort. Still, the quality of the food and overall experience more than make up for it. I ate breakfast at the Cast & Crew a few mornings while staying at the renaissance. Sitting on the patio overlooking the water is a perfect way to start the morning. We dined here on a Tuesday evening, so there were not many people at the restaurant. Our server was very attentive. Food was mixed. We started with the bread and dip & the harissa dip was very good along with the grilled bread. I had the Braised Airline chicken breast which was very salty and a very small portion of chicken. For $33 I should have received a full chicken breast and the cabbage was very hard to cut (I think it was meant more for decoration than eating). I was disappointed in my meal . Others had the founder and short rib entree which they liked, but also thought they were overly salty. I do not remember the dessert name, but it was a take on a chocolate eclair - it was awesome. The menu had a small selection . I'm glad I tried this restaurant but doubt I will be back since there's better food and values elsewhere. read more

Im gonna start right here with a 10/10 rating. Note....my husband is not a fan of hotel restaurant dining...but being we were in Daytona and upper scale dining is limited (IMO). The bartender from the hotel where we were staying for the week recommended we go here for dinner (she is a server there and we love her - sadly cannot recall her name) Sat at the bar with Brandon. Ordered 2 glasses of Fontanafreda Barbera (yum). We werent starving but ordered the burrata, just to kick things off. While waiting our bartender/server brought us over a sampling of the salmon mouse on a wonton sitting on a butternut squash puree. That, that is where it started. The burrata was equally outstanding accompanied by a tomato espuma, interesting "delicate glass like" basil crisp and surrounded by sliced figs. Heaven on a plate. Next up we had to get the mussels...best, I repeat BEST Ive ever had. Brilliantly nestled in a green coconut curry sauce that I finished off with a spoon (after I devoured what I could with croutons - yes that good. (warning a lil spicy...FYI if you arent into that) next up was the curry risotto - could have added protein but chose to eat just just as it was with perfect little mushrooms, butternut squash and zucchini slices. Again, a weee bit spicy but I was here for every bite of it. We shared it all and sadly no room for dessert (Brandon was disappointed). Regardless, next time we are in the area, we will stay here and eat every meal here! First of all, this restaurant is located inside the new Renaissance Hotel on the beach side, which is absolutely gorgeous. They did an amazing job with the decor and styling of the hotel, but this restaurant is amazing, especially the patio area looking out over the ocean. We had breakfast here on Easter Sunday morning after we attended a sunrise service on the beach and we were transported to some other, much better place. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it. The food was good, the service was awesome And the ambience and views of the ocean can't be beat. read more

Wonderful experience eating dinner here while visiting Daytona Beach! My wife and I were staying at the Renaissance Hotel and figured we had to try the Cast & Crew restaurant. All of the food was amazing. Our waitress, Angel was a joy. She informed us the chef is from the Netherlands. My favorite had to be the cream puff dessert. We went for breakfast and were expecting ho hum hotel food. The restaurant is attractive with a nice view of the ocean. Our server Alejandro was very attentive. I had the avacado toast with smoked salmon (excellent) and my husband enjoyed the eggs Benedict (best that he has had). The main takeaway: I can't wait to come back!!! If you are looking for an upscale place with friendly and attentive staff (shoutout to Savannah and Sam) and a great atmosphere, this is it. I was a bit hesitant since it is attached to a hotel, but the food and drinks are phenomenal and totally reasonably priced for the quality and portions that you get. We had the bread & dips and the seared ahi tuna (we devoured the tuna before I could take a photo). There was live music which was also a huge bonus! They do brunch on the weekends and I can't wait to try it. Overall I would highly recommend! We're lucky to gain a new gem in the area. They want to be an upscale restaurant but are not. Had breakfast and dinner. Dinner was ok but not great. Got a $15 cocktail and made the mistake to tell the bar tender I was going to the take it to the room. I got my $15 drink in a plastic cup like a beer tent would serve. I am not in restaurant business but if I were, I would make sure tables were bussed and cleaned. I would also train staff to say "my pleasure" vs. "no problem". Not very upscale . I guess I am glad I was not a problem for the staff . Am a Marriott loyalist, as a Platinum elite it includes breakfast, but only two choices . You cannot pick how you want your eggs cooked or it costs you $15. If you don't expect fine dining you should be fine. Lower your expectations and give them a try. The issues I have are all with management, not the staff. They worked as hard as they could and did the best they could, understaffed, no body bussing and I bet, little to no training. read more

Just GO to this place !!! Just Go !!!! Everything about our meal was excellent. Service from Kodi and the whole staff was great. I dropped my napkin and it was immediately replaced with a new one. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was very good if not great. I had the scallops which were great but what was that sauce they put in the cauliflower?? Citrus and something that made it great. Bad service and aptitud. I felt discriminated in my experience here. First, I included breakfast in my rate. But my issue was the experience in the restaurant. First the menu separates de "complementary" vs paid breakfast. My breakfast was not a member complementary, it was included in the rate. The manager of the restaurant, told me they were not Marriott and as a separate company I had to deal with Marriott and she could not do anything. The portions of the breakfast were not complete but half of the regular paid breakfast. Even when I was paying, my breakfast was less than other tables portions. Even with Marriott training the behavior of the restaurant manager is not Marriott caliber, specially for platinum members. Look for other options that want your experience for long term, vs a transaction as this restaurant. read more

WOW, WOW, WOW! 5 Stars are not enough. This place is amazing. My wife and I live nearby and went here to celebrate my birthday. Jane, the hostess, greeted us at the door and instead of just taking us to a table she gave us a tour allowing us to meet the bartender, the chefs, and see the whole seating area. Once seated, Theresa was our server, and a 5 star server she was. Her attentiveness - without hovering - was perfect for our dining experience. The food was spectacular, we started with the bread and dip, and I had the ahi tuna while my wife had the scallops. We highly recommend both. As an over the top experience, they gave me a birthday card in which all of the staff left special words. Attended the wine and dinner pairing on April 30th and the meal was simply exquisite ! The wine pairing complimented each dish perfectly! The ocean front setting is heavenly! Each person we came in contact with just made us feel welcomed. The food was a 10 out of 10. The chef's butter cake was absolutely delicious. I could literally just eat the butter cake and want nothing more. The fresh caught snapper was seasoned to perfection and the watermelon beet relish really elevated the flavors of the dish.
