Latte and tomato pasty
Angelina M.

I noticed that the team was flowing with each other well, the cashier was very kind and had beautiful energy, I ordered a tomato olive pastry so yum, and a golden iced latte the ambiance is nice and calm, people can talk and hear each other, there isn't music playing now it's about 12:18pm the art on the wall is enjoyable

I have been a long time customer of coffee shops at this location and after 1+ years under new ownership, it has only improved on all fronts - the shop, the service and the food. The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back. And it's still an affordable spot and, MOST IMPORTANTLY dog friendly and welcoming.

What a cute coffee shop. The pumpkin latte was great; the breakfast sandwich was very yummy and Maria was very friendly and helpful. I have walked by this place several times and never went in. I'm so glad I tried it and definitely would recommend this place to everyone.

Very nice place coffee and muffins BUT we try to set outside such a beautiful day except one person SMOKING on the patio . bummer AND even after ordering over $20 worth of coffee it was an ack of congress to get the bathroom KEY . Comprende.

I loved the cozy atmosphere of this local coffee and pastry shop. The vibe is welcoming and relaxed. Service was quite friendly and personable. I enjoyed gazing at the glass case showcasing delicious looking pastries while I waited to place my order. We ordered an oat milk latte, which was lovingly customized with honey and cinnamon and a chai tea latte. Prices were reasonable and we were soon on our way. If you need a break or a quick pick-me-up, stop by.

Found a little gem in the heart of Daytona Beach, Rick, and I stopped in and Rick had coffee and an egg cheese and sausage sandwich on Portuguese bread. I had a blueberry muffin with a green tea. We split a Portuguese nada which is a puff pastry cup filled with custard. Everything was delicious. Very nice, quaint place. The service and food definitely worth coming back. Relaxing atmosphere.

Listen $4.90 for a large cup of coffee and no refills is bad business or was the refill $3.90 lol regardless that's not acceptable..,

Let me start with what I loved... THE CREME BRÛLÉE coffee is amazing!! I also loved the ambiance! It has a very cozy and chill vibe! I love that there are chess games set up on several of the tables almost like it's inviting you to get comfortable. Now for my gripe... I can't stand when I walk into an establishment and am standing at the counter in front of one of the workers and they don't acknowledge me. No, hello, good morning, be right with you, nothing! I think that is extremely unprofessional! That being said, my son and I are standing at the counter and the young lady is moving around and doesn't acknowledge us at all. Her manager or perhaps the owner comes from the back and says she'll be with you soon! A couple minutes later the other girl asks what we want to order and proceeds to take our order. Again, I loved the atmosphere and the coffee was amazing! However, the workers need some training in professionalism!

Very cool space in downtown Daytona. The staff was really nice and it was a great space to sit around and check out the decor. I had a black iced coffee snd it was strong and delicious

Can't believe all the times I passed by Sweet Marlays' Coffee on my way to McK's Tavern or the cigar shop and never once noticed it. What a really cool place to hang out, grab a coffee and a sweet treat. I had a regular coffee on this visit with a ham Quiche and a creamy rhubarb tart. All was great. When I first came in, Nodah greeted me, and it was all downhill from there. Got to add this place to my list of favorites. If you are paying with a card and you want to tip, bring cash or they take cash app or venmo. There was no way to add a tip paying with a card.

Super cute coffee shop in the historic Daytona Beach area. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff working was so friendly and helpful. They offer a variety of coffee, tea, bubble tea and yummy eats. I tried the large Beach Day iced coffee $5.63 total cost. I had just had dinner or would have loved to try some of the sweets available. Perfect place to grab a drink and read, meet up with a friend or just relax. If you are in the area, check them out!

Amo Brazil, excellent coffee and premium beverages, pastries, fine service. Centrally located, Serra Doce is safe a haven on Beach Street, Daytona Beach, Florida.

This is definitely the kind of place that the locals frequent and that's exactly what my dining companion and I look for. The decor is very simple and welcoming, and there are monkeys, racing memorabilia, and other tchotkes that adorn the shelves on the walls. Service is very prompt and friendly. We definitely felt at ease here. I ordered the two egg breakfast which included two eggs anyway you want, toast and one side item. I substituted a biscuit, which was definitely worth the change and requested hashbrowns. The meal was filling, and the hashbrowns were perfectly cooked! My dining companion ordered avocado toast, but after seeing my hashbrowns decided to order a side of hashbrowns for themselves! They were that good! This is definitely the kind of place we would return to if we are in the area.

We typically go to a place in St. Augustine when we do this cruise trip several times per year but decided to change it up. I will say the guy who answered the phone and was also our waiter, was very nice, but thought they were 2 miles off 95 when they are actually 4 miles, but it was a straight shot and worth it. Small locally owned place, which is what we love, and the food and service is good. We started with the pigs in blankets for my hubby and son and they enjoyed them. I'm a vegetarian so we also tried the fried pickles and those were the star of the show! Absolutely delicious! ( I forgot to photograph those two dishes unfortunately). Hubby had the club with fries and thought it was OK, but not great. The meat seemed a bit cheaper quality. Our son had the Cuban sandwich with fries and thought it was good. I had the garden omelette minus the onions, wheat toast and hash browns. The omelet was very good unfortunately the hash browns tasted like meat though so I didn't eat those. I'm sure everything is cooked on the same griddle. I also had a mimosa. They serve their breakfast and lunch menu all day during hours. This spot is a perfect little family owned place with great service and food. They were on a wait list when we left. I would recommend you check them out!

Located on the beach side of Atlantic Avenue in what looks like a motel, Adam's Egg appears to be a popular place for motel guests. We were seated promptly by an overly friendly server and perused the menu. After hearing about their breakfast special, Adam's Breakfast Bowl, my wife decided to order that with crispy house potatoes, crispy bacon and scrambled eggs with gravy on the side ($15). She also ordered a side of toasted wheat toast ($2). I ordered the Adam's Two and Two with scrambled eggs, bacon and house potatoes ($13). We each ordered coffee ($8) and water to go with our meals. My wife liked her dish but thought the potatoes weren't crispy. My breakfast was fine, although I thought the scrambled eggs lacked the fluffiness that I've come to expect for an elevated breakfast experience. Lately, I've been judging breakfast joints by how fluffy their scrambled eggs are...and this didn't quite make the mark. It was an OK breakfast. The highlight of our meal was the friendly and efficient server. Breakfast for 2 with tip came out to just over $48.

There's not a ton of space, which I'm sure makes the rush brunch worse. Facilities were to clean and well maintained, well decorated as well. Our server Ashley was friendly and great. The food was delicious! My fiance and I both got veggie omelettes, he was able to add bacon to his and sub the potatoes for a fruit cup. We got an English muffin and wheat toast. Their wheat toast was massive and hearty, with seeds on the crust. I loved it! Veggie omelettes are always a good test of a chefs skills as they can be super wet from the high water content in veggies. Ours were cooked perfectly, no soppy mess and the veggies tasted crisp and fresh. I don't know if this is a downside, but the menu claimed the omelettes were 4 eggs, but it sure felt like 6 or 7! It was massive! The fruit cup didn't have a bunch of copout fruit in it, it came with really fresh strawberries, bananas and blackberries along with cantaloupe and pineapple. The only truly negative thing I noticed was the jam came in a small plastic cup and when I tasted the jam, it tasted like the plastic, so I couldn't eat it. Overall this is a great breakfast spot that rivals the sitting veterans on the area (first watch, kekes). Give it a go, but be wary of busy rush hours!
